The agent installed virus protection onto my lapt top

This program is nothing like it used to be. I am very disappointed with the changes made. Price has doubled and service decreased. No more in home service included.

I had to come back three times when they put my stuff in the middle and initial and I felt like I did not get what I paid for I’m not sure sure I will ever ever use a geek squad again but I have a membership so I have to use it till the memberships over with and hopefully they’ll give me good service

System seems to be fine. Do wish more instructions or guide was provided.

Bought a new laptop. Transferred data onto new laptop. Brought new laptop in to have Quicken transferred on to it. Quicken stopped functioning within a month.

Of course now it is more difficult because of Covid 19

After several years of use my computer suddenly required a password. I own a minitower HP computer. I asked the Geek squad to remove the password requirement which they did. However, after a few months the computer again required a pass word.

Did not follow my directives re using Brave browser, laptop was locked into all things MSoft only. Also battery does not last nearly as long as GSquad described. Also fGSquad told me they recovered and transferred all files from old laptop to this new one, but MANY are missing, and MANY are hard to find, under new file names. Bookmarks were not copied over properly either.

The guy tooky money and then was bored to death and walked around talking to his friends and on his phone instead of trying to find the problem with my desktop. Then left me with a young girl and went for lunch. Very disappoointing. I took my PC to a different place and they found the problem and removed 700GB of nonsense in no time.

So glad I had this done by geek squad. I would be lost.

In the years past an appointment was not required. The initial associate, young man, was rude and refused to help me without an appointment. He also made me feel stupid for still having a Dell Latitude with Vista Laptop and almost refused to schedule an appointment to remove Kaspersky and replace it with updated Security software. However, when I returned the next day for my appointment a sweet female associate was fantastic and provided excellent service. I have purchased all my computers and electronics at Best Buy for many years and received excellent service. I will return but am saddened by the lack of good customer service by the young man. He truly needs more training or you will lose customers!

I wasn't that impressed with how the Geek Squad moved data from my old laptop to the new laptop. I was very specific in telling them that I wanted the new one to a duplicate of the old one. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case as a lot of files, pictures, and most important all my contacts from Outlook were not on the new one. I am now going to have to take it back in and see if they can recover the old data.

Agents worked VERY hard but I had to return MANY times due to limit of 20 minutes per session. This is unreasonable especially given it was a Best Buy purchase.

Agent installed my new anti virus. But he didn’t manage to remove my original anti virus program. Darn. I believe it’s causing my computer to run slower

The support was given for a computer that I owned last year. The technical support tried to troubleshoot but was not able to determine what was going on. I eventually sent the device back to the manufacture for a repair/replacement.

I guess everything that was to be installed was installed, but I have no documents that guarantee this occurred. Using some of the programs will be a series of trial and error as there seem to be no directions available.

Not a good experience. They did not seem to know what they were doing. Not at all to my expectations.

The three sales techs were very helpful and did the installation in a timely manner (almost two days).
