    Failure Imminent, AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Listen, they sound OK and have good bass. After 10-15 days the left Ear Bud will fail. The volume will drop to almost nothing and the right side stays full volume so it's a terrible sound like you are going deaf. Then the left side turns off as it completely fails leaving you with one Ear Bud that works. I have returned these things 5 times (on their credit) and each time they fail, sometimes right out of the box. I use these every day and it's such an annoyance to have only one working Ear bud

Wanted to like them but couldn't!

I have been on a quest to find the best truly wireless earbuds since apple delayed the Airpods. The Sol Republic Amps Air were my first stop. The build quality of these was very good. They felt comfortable in my ear and held in very well while working out. Unfortunately that is all I can say that is positive for them. I purchased and returned two pairs of these due to the same problem, the horrible sound quality. The best that I can describe it is it sounds as though you are listening to an old 45 record player while streaming music from your bluetooth device. The bass sounds solid, but anything in the upper octaves especially high in treble was just awful. It helped when you lowered the volume down past half way but you could still hear the "tin like whine" in the speakers. It almost sounds as though Sol amplified the sound so much that it is producing really bad distortion in the upper registers. I really wanted to like these because they did fit very comfortably in my ears. But comfort was not enough to listen to how poorly they sounded. And it wasn't just an unlucky bad pair. Both pairs were equally as bad. I ended up purchasing Skybuds which sound 1000 times better. See my review for the charcoal color ones. For these, stay away.

    Awesome Sound Quality

Not sure why it has 3 stars to be honest. These are great for $150. If sound quality is your main concern, you will NOT be disappointed. As for fitment, its very much like shoes that have to be broken in. It felt uncomfortable the first couple of times, but they did accommodate.

I bought these because I hate the cord on other Bluetooth headphones. I received these a day before I was supposed to according to my shipping details. So, that was great, but the first pair I received, the right one didn't work! The button would pause and play the music but there was no sound. I tried them on 3 different devices. I exchanged those for a new pair and I was so excited to actually get to use them. I put them in my ears and the pairing wasn't hard, but as soon as I heard the sound I was beyond disappointed and it wasn't because the fit was wrong (I tried every size) I had plenty of bass. The highs were so tingy sounding. They also had a ton of static!! Like a horrible amount of static. I tried changing the eq and it didn't matter. I tried my brothers $30 Bluetooth headphones for reference and his sounded amazing compared to the static and ear piercing highs these earphones offer. Also, the volume bumps up so high with even one click. I really wanted the sound in between where it would allow me to put it. It was always too loud or too quiet. I took the second pair back and am now looking for something else.

I've tried two other high end wireless ear buds, both were returned the next day. The manage at my favorite electronic store told me to try these I told her ok, but you know you'll see me tomorrow if they drop connection once....that was two weeks ago & I have no complaints. There are some nice concepts out there on Kickstarter and Indieogo & watching those YouTube post will have you buying earbuds every payday, but why? I have the bronze pair I'll be buying the black ones today

    Synchronization

I can't even give this two stars.

Where to start, first off the two ear buds don't sync up well. Second when running with them on they kept cutting out. Third, when making a phone call apparently it only goes off one side (Left side). Fourth, there seems to be no volume up or down buttons on the heads and that leads us to problem number five, the users guild doesn't have hardly any answers to any questions nor does it address the issues of the devices. In summary not only do I believe they are WAY OVERPRICED for what you don't get.

Static Noise - Didn't Live up to Expectations

I was really excited when I found these because they had the best reviews of any completely wireless headphones under $200. I ordered online and it was available for pickup the next day. I tried them on and noticed immediately that when a song wasn't playing, there was a "on" noise in the background - I ignored it. I started to play a variety of songs and noticed that on them all there was a static as if the speaker was blown every time a beat or high note hit. I looked up online and saw other people had this issue. I went back to best buy to see if this was just an isolated incident (like 20% of the products have this issue) however I tried on a new pair while at customer service and the same issue persisted. I think it is fair to conclude that this product just simply hasn't been perfected yet, and I think it is inexcusable to sell something at such a price when it is not a properly functioning product. For $180, I would expect at least a standard headphone quality set, but this was just not good. I'm not sure if the wireless technology in such a small space is there yet, but we shouldn't push it if its not ready.

    Started Strong, then...

Used them on an Asus Republic of Gamers laptop and Samsung TAB S 10.5. They started off great for a couple of months. Then they started fading in and out on the laptop. Then started getting staticy and out of sync on the pad. SOL republic has no support. No way to try and update firmware. Should have gotten more than a couple months out of them.

I love these but the case stopped charging or holding a charge before I even had them a year. We own two pairs. Both do the same thing.

Good luck getting in contact with SOL REPUBLIC when the product breaks. I have been trying for over a month and NOTHING!! If you call their customer support line you get a message that they are close. Same for the main number. I have tried email, chat, carrier pigeon...nothing. Before you buy anything from them try to contact them....
