This item is great if you just want Beats alternative when it comes to sound. Can't beat deep bass, nice mids, and clear highs. Only down side to this product is that they do not offer it as single sided cord. They're selling point is that you can change the earpiece into different color scheme, though, this is pricey through their website. Surrounding noise gets amplified in your headphones, sounds like you are in a crowded cafeteria hall. This was very annoying when you want to concentrate to the music. Gave 3 star b/c of the surrounding noise bleeding into the headphone.

I bought these for my daughter. There are surprisingly good sounding. It was well worth the price. BestBuy had them at an amazing price.

I got these for Christmas and i loved them. they sound great. i love every thing about them. a must buy

I purchased my first pair and was really enjoying the sound and comfort. Within 3 months the wires that connect to the headset shorted out. Luckily I had purchased a protection plan ($20 at a competitor). When I received the gift card for purchase price, I turned around and bought another pair. I was sure it was just a fluke. 2 months after that purchase and one of the Sound Engines (speakers) went out. I don't believe that two times is a fluke but faulty quality control. This time I didn't have a replacement plan. I have been waiting for 4 weeks for the replacements from their warranty department. They say they might be in their center tomorrow, but they can't ship until next week... maybe. When I requested that they overnight them to me due to the extremely long wait they declined saying "well they are under warranty and we will replace them... eventually.. we don't promise when" That is seriously what the Customer Service Rep told me. I am following through with my promise to her to make sure as many people as possible know how they handle their customers.

The bass and the clarity of this headphones is amazing and better than other headphones .

I really wanted to like these headphones due to the booming bass and overall great sound quality. However, they put so much pressure on my ears that I just couldn't wear them comfortably for longer than 5 minutes. Returned them for the Klipsch Image One's, feel much more comfortable and also sound incredible.

These are a very good pair of headphones for a music lover. They have a very good stage presence.

these are all around good cans. I own the V-10 editions and they are great for Hip0hop and rap

These headphones are the best I've ever owned. The headbands are very very durable and the cushions are comfortable. I love these headphones. There's also a rewards program called Soldiers of Sound and that program gives you free headbands and various accessories like wires. Great company.

I bought these on a whim. I read a ton of reviews and couldn't find anything truly negative about the Sol Republic HD's. So after purchase I was excited because of the sound they reproduced through my phone. I'm no audiophile, but I was very pleased by the depth and sound stage of these phones. They became more alive after a few hours of play. Sadly that's where all the praise ends. After only 30 minutes of play my ears began to hurt. A good look in the mirror and my ears were red! I think Sol Republic did a pretty unique thing by creating a "near indestructible" headband, BUT and this is a big BUT they should have considered making the phones themselves swivel maybe. It's a shame I really enjoyed the sound these reproduce, but if I can't enjoy my music for no more than 30 minutes that's a break dealer. So after experiencing the discomfort I had to return them. Maybe Sol Republic will see reviews such as this one and consider a redesign. Perhaps an over ear design in the future?

Bought these for my son for Christmas 2012. Despite my pleading with him to pick a pair of seinhiesers he had to have these. I am an audiophile, I could careless about looks, just comfort and sound quality. So here we go....sound I give a c+. Mids are muddy, bass can be a bit boomy. After three months, I still believe this to be true. After twenty minutes my head and ears are throbbing, screaming for relief. I give an F for comfort. I highly suggest Geek Squad protection, the right can went out mid march. So after three months, geek squad was shipping him a second set, not good. Honestly if your not worried about being the coolest kid in the hallway, for the same price, you can get a pair of real headphones that you can listen to for hours and you won't need to worry about a warranty!!

Excellent for the cost. Everything is replaceable which makes Sol Republic light years ahead of most of the companies.

Ok sound for price but don't go cheap, get the beats the sounds not even close!

I made the mistake of reading only the reviews and not finding them at a local store to listen. Best Buy does not carry these in the stores in my area. The sound is poor as compared to my Koss UR55 headphones($49). I am a drummer and listen for the cymbals and clear vocals. Listening on most songs I cannot hear the cymbals very distinctly on the Sols but much better on the Koss. The Sol Republic have a tinny sound like an old transistor radio.Very disappointed in the sound. Of course if these sound good to you by all means buy. Speakers and headphones are different to most people as everyone's hearing is different. Micheal Phelps wearing these is not a good endorsement he is not a musician. These are overpriced for the sound quality.

I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS PRODUCT 0 STARS!!! This was a waste of my money. Soon after I got them the speaker just went out in the left ear. It is REALLY anoying. This is totally not worth it for the price you pay.even if you see the Beats for $300 and you don't want to spend the extra money because you think it's too expensive. SPEND THE MONEY FOR THEM. DO NOT BUY THESE HEADPHONES!!! I have had a bunch of headphones and these are by far the worst. I have gotten free give away headphones on the street for advertisement that have lasted longer. That's pathetic. DO NOT BUY THEM!!!!
