Hooked them in my phone and the sound is excellent

I bought this for my daughter and she was very pleased to get them. I have used them and the sound quality is awesome. I was mesmerized.

I like the design of this headset for two reasons: 1. Everything comes apart, cord and ear pieces, so you can pack it easily; 2. It has a volume adjustment on the cord. Nice touch.

Its other reviews specks for it. Perfect for on the go.

Just some background on this purchase i made: i work in a Tech Support Call center, i use headphones to listen to the voicemail tech calls we have come in and a live engineer cannot take. i was using a pair of RED beats by dr dre solo HD headphones. i had geek squad protection on them and they recently had issues so i returned and got store credit for them and purchased these sol republic track hd ones instead since they beats had risen in price and i would not be able to get them for what i had in store credit. this made me seek alternative options for a good set of headphones. i was in the store looking at and listening to various models, i remembered these from the olympics and phelps wearing them so i decided to give it a go. i was impressed with the sound and comfortability of these headphones. they rival that of the beats i had and are actually a little better. the bass is clear and strong. the highs are great sounding as well (Guitar solos sound amazing on these) i figure for the price i paid on the beats then was given back in store cred i was able to get these headphones with a new 2 year plan through geeksquad for $50 less than the price of just the beats solo HD. i came out on top with a few bucks left to spare on other small things i needed. these also are cusomizable, they have different color cords and headbands to allow you to put your own personal spin on them. i purchased the blue headband and it looks great with the silver speaker cups. over all i am impressed with these and the price makes them very comparable to the beats by dre solo HD headphones. except they are $70 less and have same quality if not better.

Nice heard phone - great sound - nice color good product

I literally bought these yesterday and it was well worth the money....the overall quality, look and durability make them feel like $250.00 headsets. Only a couple minor issues is that they had a couple little scratches and fingerprints to be brand new headphones. Had me worried they were used before but they work just fine so remember to look out for that if you really care about how clean they look out the box....and one more thing that ticked me off was the volume control isn't compatible with android devices so consider that too before you purchase....overall I can't seem to take em off since I bought them...indestructible, great sound, bass really kicks, interchangeable headband to different colors if u feel so to change....if you're willing to spend $100+ don't even look at beats by Dre, skull candy, or any other headphones more or around the same price....just get these and trust me you won't be disappointed.

I assume that, as I did, you are reading this review because you want the Beats headphones, but wonder if these SOL headphones compare. The answer is, "yes." Let me preface this review by saying that I did a great deal of research prior to making this purchase, including listening to at least ten sets of headphones and reading dozens of reviews. If it is not yet apparent, music is very important to me, as is the quality of sound coming through my ear canal. That said, lets begin. The Design: The design of the SOL Republic Tracks HD is amazing. The lines are clean and the logos are a lot less "In your face," which I appreciate. The company offers different color ways for nearly every part on the phones if you get bored with the black and silver. The speakers adjust rather easily by sliding them up and down the rail. The wires also detach from the speakers for easy packing, which is pretty cool. Last, the mic and iPhone controls make it easy to talk while wearing them and the voice quality is unmatched. The Sound: Here is the good part. I will just start off by saying that the lows, mids, and highs work extremely well together in this set. I use them with my iPhone4 and even when I turn the volume all the way up there isn't the least bit of distortion. The bass is smooth and pure and the treble well balanced. It's almost a struggle for me not to rock my head back and forth with the music, because it sounds THAT good. Now the question you are probably asking is, "Ok, well how do they sound compared to the Beats Solo HD set?" The answer is, "better." First, the Beats Solo HD's do sound good, but you have to turn the volume nearly all the way up to enjoy the balance of sound. As for the sound quality itself, they are inferior to the SOL's. So, unless you are going for the trendy look of Beats and can't afford the superior $300 Studio version, go with the SOL Republic Tracks HD's. You will not regret it. Not to mention Michael Phelps, who is kind of a big deal, sports the SOL's in the Olympics while preparing for events. One could probably attribute his 2012 metals to the headphones...just saying, there's room for argument. The Comfort: Since I have only worn these headphones for two hours at a time so far, I cannot really attest to longterm discomfort. I can say that those two hours were fine and the headphones provide more than enough cushion. There is also a cushion on the top to protect your dome from the hard plactic. I am interested to see what it's like to workout in these... The Verdict: If you are currently listening to the stock headphones that came with your device and have $130 to spend on quality headphones, purchase the SOL's. If you really want the Beats Solo's, purchase them and then return them after you hear the superior quality of sound that the SOL's produce. It's totally your call, but gas prices are high and your time is valuable...save both by getting it right the first time. If you are a woman getting these as a gift for your man, he will thank you with inappropriate favors. Seriously.

These headphones are simply some of the best out, and are the best out in the price range of headphones right now. Personally before the questions are asked, I highly recommend these over the regular Tracks. The reason being for only 30 more dollars you can actually have THE best. If 130 dollars is out of your price range, it is very understandable, especially for headphones, the Tracks are also amazing as well. I am reviewing these as a heavy music listener. It took me a ton of research to actually decide on these headphones. Now to start the review.... Headphones have increasingly becoming more popular since the release of the Dre Beats, and is a growing industry with heavy competition. The thing about SOL Republic headphones is that the price is reasonable for the design, quality, and build of the product compared to other competitors. First, SOL's are almost unbreakable. You can bend the headband so that it is liner, and twist and turn it just for giggles, also on the Track HD's their are no fingerprints, I repeat, NO FINGERPRINTS. Also the cord is thick and slim making it hard to break. Now to the all important drivers (what the music comes out of), the drivers can simply come right off the headband and is amazingly user friendly. At glance, you may think it may be some problems with them sliding off so easily, however sliding them off and on is not an issue at all. When you slide them back on they stay in place firmly. The drivers have the acronym SOL on them placed very nicely. The design of these headphones are simplistic, yet very different and noticeable. The headphones are set up to be fully customizable after purchase if desired. After you buy your headphones, months later you may say you want a new headband color, which you can do by ordering a new headband online, being everything can be detached which is very handy to know when this company grows and starts releasing more colors and designs. SOL Republic has a great following, with great customer service. The headphones come with a one year warranty. Overall, this is one of the best gifts I've ever received in my life. I got these for Christmas, and I still love them as much as the day I got them. If you want high quality headphones that are durable, with high amount of quality, for yourself, or a gift, get these as soon as you can. You will not be disappointed with the purchase. ~SOLdier

Not too bad for an inexpensive headphone. I wish they were a little better for movie viewing. OK sound for causal music, not great for movies. Don't expect a lot for a little money.

well i have been shopping around for some phone for about 6 months before i pulled the trigger on the SOL REPUBLICS and i have to say these things are awesome. My initial purchase was going to be the Beats by Dre. but i just couldnt get over the price tag, dont get me wrong the beats are great but for the price i thought they could be better i went to Best Buy MANY times to try out the Beats and the Bose but i was still hesitant to get either one of those, Then i saw these on the bottom shell undeneath the Bose headphones, i saw the price tag so i grabbed a box and started to read, then as i was there in the store i grabbed my phone and started looking for reviews. The reviews i saw were all good so i figured for the price they will be worth a try and boy these things are GREAT worth every penny, the sound the bass the mids the highs are all there and in my opinoin they sound alot better than the Beats.(sorry you look cool but man these sound better) anyway i asked a buddy of mine to listen to them and then to listen to his Beats and he agreed the SOL Republics sound better, another friend of mine listed to the as well then the next day he sold his Beats and purchased the SOL's guys if your looking for a set of headphones that look cool and sound amazing at least give these a try you will not be dissapointed. I wish SOL republic would push these a little more because many people have never even herad of them.....

I've been eyeballing these headphones for about 2 months. But 130 is alot for a pair of cans, considering I had never spent more than 5 dollars on a pair my whole life. So i did my research, I think i read every review i could find on these SR Tracks HD. So earlier today mom and I where at Best Buy and I finally broke down and got them. They are simply AMAZING!!! Even though all they had was black, I really wanted purple (I guess ill be buying a new band shortly). I listened to all the displays at Best Buy, they blew most of the other headphone out of the water when it came to clearness and sound quality, except for the Beats studios and a few others, were also pretty good. But the bass is where none of the other headphones could touch them(I'm listening to two shots by Lil Wayne right now and the bass is just crazy for headphones!!!). The Tracks HD just have a V10 sound engine, the Tracks ultra have a V12 so i could just imagine how much more bass they would have :)!!
