    Best Headphones Ever!

I just recently Purchased this product and i must say....Its the Best Over the ear Headphones i have ever Purchased! Beats by Dre have Nothing on Sol Republic! The Price is beyond awesome for what this Product delivers! It has great Bass, and not over the top either. The bass is set so perfect it wont muffle Vocals or other instruments around. I listen to all kinds of music and i cant find a track on my playlist where the headphones will sound bad. Every song has Clarity and Thump i need! Looking all over for a good pair of headphones can be difficult especially your price range. Sol Republic hands down beats all competitions for over the ear headphones anywhere! I recommend this product to anyone who loves music!

i search and search for a headphones that can blow me away for the price, i tried the beats solo HD and i thought the volume was tooo low, the studios and up were just to expensive and they didnt blow me away enough to make me spend $300. When i was about to give up, i tried these and the met all my expectation as an avid user, and for the price its a steal of a deal! if these were they same price as the solos i would but these. They dont leak sound when its on you ear, but if you take it off the whole world would know what u listening too, i used it on the plane going back home and it cancelled out all the noise.

Let me start by saying I own the Bose AE2i. I chose the Bose AE2i over the Beats by Dre Studio Beats because I liked the sound quality over the Beats. That said I will fast forward to when I first learned of the Sol Republic brand. I first stumbled upon the Sol Republic brand in June 2012 as I was looking for a fathers day gift. They looked very sleek, modern with a nice minimalist look that was like nothing I'd ever seen. The fit and finish was much nicer than the Bose. I thought wow those look awesome, but I was sure the sound quality was going to be terrible compared to the Bose. Man, was i surprised when I listened to them! I couldn't believe my ears! I handed them to my wife, her mouth droped open and her eyes opened wide. Her expression confirmed my disbelief. The Sols sounded as good if not better than the Bose. Unfortunately I didn't have my Bose with me to do a direct comparison but I was extremely impressed. Fast forward again to the 2012 Summer Olympics as Michale Phelps walks out wearing the head gear that impressed me a few months ago. It reminded me to go out and compare the two headphones. Compared to the SOL Tracks HD, the Bose feels cheap, the plastic feels cheap. The SOLs fit and finish is the best I've ever seen. They feel solid and look as if they were finely sculpted from exotic polymers. The sound quality is crisp with solid mid tones and impressive base. The Tracks HD make the Bose sound muted and lacking in sound response. With the Bose I often find myself turning the volume all the way up on the iPhone in an attempt to hear things more cleanly and defined. Not so with the Tracks HD, matter of fact I have to turn the volume down as there is no need to increase volume to hear the fine details of music being played. The SOL Tracks HD beats the BOSE hands down in just about every aspect of sound, quality, style and value. The fact you can customize the Tracks with different color headbands, cords and even sound engines is the icing on the cake. I'm glad Phelps promoted this brand because this company seems to be doing things right and deserves to be noticed. I just wish I would have known about the brand a year ago because I would have saved myself 50.00 and have a superior piece of head gear.

Packs a punch for the price!

I bought these while looking for another pair (JBL Wireless), I tried them on at the store and wasn't totally convinced but I still bought them just because the price was excellent and if they didn't turn out how I liked them I could return them. Once at home I put them on immediately and quickly noticed how muddy the vocals were, the bass was incredible but overpowered the vocals easily. To remedy that I looked through my EQ settings on an old ipod and turned on the 'Treble Booster' and it immediately cleaned up the audio. You will lose a bit of the bass but it fixes the vocals and balances things out. Before fixing this issue I would've rated them 3/5 stars but after fixing them I cannot give it less than 4 stars, they sound excellent. I recommend them for the price and sound quality, not to mention the customization that you're allowed in this SOL ecosystem. From the head strap to the cord, everything is replaceable if it breaks. +out of the box they're excellent for rap and even rock +with the treble booster setting they're excellent for smooth r&b and jazz Good luck!

Bought those on sale couple weeks ago after trying them against Skullcandy Crushers. While not as comfy as Crushers (Crushers are Over-The-Ear type of headphone, though) they do sound better for my taste since they have more defined mid and high range compare to Crushers. Overall, it was a good buy for the price that I paid for them.

I've owned these headphones for over a month now and I am still impressed with the sound everytime I listen to music while I study. The bass is great, the mids are notable and the highs are just right. For the price, I couldn't ask for a better set. Good job Sol Republic!!

Great Headphones at a Great Price

I bought these headphones because I have always wanted a pair of Beats. Then during the Olympics I saw Michael Phelps wearing a pair of headphones that I did not recognize. I found out that he was wearing Sol Republic Headphones. I did some research online and saw that a lot of people said that these were as good if not better. So I decided to go into the store and check them out. I listened to just the regular Track headphones. They sound amazing. I agree with the reviews I saw that said they are as good if not better than the Beats. I figured that if they regular Tracks sounded that good then the Track HD must sound better. In my opinion they are better. Another thing that I like about the headphones is that it does not feel cheap. The headband is some kind of material that they call FlexTech and it is pretty indestructible. The "cans"/speakers are very nicely made and do not feel cheap as well. Also, one thing they did that I really like is that if one part breaks you aren't out of luck. The speakers slide off of the head band and the cord plugs into the bottom of the speakers. So you can replace any single part instead of trashing the headphones. These headphones are the best if you ask me and I would recommend them to anyone.

Just decided on these headphones after looking for a couple weeks. I agree that their better than the beats by Dr. Dre as other reviewers have said. The headphones give me that bump in the base I wanted and sound good all around. PS. You can pause/play songs on android

With sound this great, and amazingly durable headband replaceable that is replaceable, the SOL Republic Tracks HD is a must have at this amazing price. The only problem I have is that the left speaker cord broke after about 5 months, but like the head band, it is replaceable. Like I said; This Is A MUST BUY!!!! What are you waiting for, stop reading, head out to your local BestBuy and buy it now! It is a BestBuy!

    Above average headphones

Well i see there are not very many reviews on these so i will help out. These are great headphones, but for specific tastes. If you listen to alot of techno or music with tight bass, and alot going on with it these are very crisp and clear. The average user tends to like bass heavy music,,,this tends to rattle a bit at deep bass interval music, not like bass rattling like a kind of whine almost. I would say if you tend to like pop music, techno, and music with very clear separation these are the headphones, if you listen to alot of old school rap, and shake your bones bass, keep it moving. Or get a couple sets of headphones.I picked these up cheaper then retail so i got a good deal. Overall happy but will also be purchasing different set for more bassy music.

I bought the Sol Republic headphone because of the research I did online on ratings and reviews in a head to head with Beats Solo HD. I caught them on sale right before Christmas and I snagged a pair with no regrets they in one word Awesome! I use the almost daily as part of my gym workout routine. The still look like brand new like I just took them out of the box. I am looking to replace them with SOL REPUBLIC - Master Tracks MFI Over-the-Ear Headphones, as I am upgrading, and plan passing these down. Bottom Line buy them and you wont be sorry or disappointed!

    Great pair of headphones

These headphones are simply amazing. I have been looking into getting higher quality headphones for a while now and these are the ones i came down to. For the $129.99 you are getting a hell of a deal. I was looking into getting the Beats by Dre Solo HDs ,but i have always felt that they are to overpriced and way to overrated. These SOL Republics Track HD have better sound quality in my opinion than the Beats by Dre listed above. There is only one downside to these headphones and to me that is the cord. The bottom half of the cord is thick and durable, but because the cord has to split to go into each track it is much thinner at the top after the split. Other than that these are great headphones. These headphones are great and i would recommend them over Beats products any day.

I have had these headphones for over a year now. And they perform just like how I took them out of the box. These are probably the most durable headphones in the world. You can stretch them, bend them, anything. My year old headband is still perfect and has a couple more years on the 1,000 day warranty. The sound is super clear and bass is perfect. And after a year, going strong. If you want to waste money on beats, go ahead and be dumb. If you want to start something get these.

    Awesome Sound

First of these headphones sound great, the base is awesome, and the idea that you assemble them is pretty unique. Meaning that if your right speaker or you headband or cable get damaged you can order the parts to replace instead of buying a whole new set of headphones. The only draw back from the headphones is the ear-cup positioning is awkward to the aligning of the ear.

Fantastic sound, outstanding construction, they will put a smile on your face the first time you listen to them. I first saw these on Michael Phelps' head during the London Olympics and liked how they looked. I researched them and liked what I saw, but more importantly, I loved what I heard. You will not be disappointed. My only problem will be getting them back from my teen aged daughter!

    AMAZING Sound and Build Quality!

I had spent much time researching headphones and am very pleased with my choice in my SOL HD on ear headphones. The sound quality is very similar to that of Dr. Dre Beats Solo headphones but with half the price tag and a much better build quality. The sound quality is heavier in the bass and mids giving a great live feel to the music. The build quality is amazing as well. You can twist the headband anyway you wish and it will not break (unlike the plasticky feel to the beats by Dre). Overall i would highly recommend picking these up at your next trip to BB.

Solid design, great sound fidelity, pumping bass

Why do we have several headphones? One for a particular situation perhaps? I was in the market looking for headphones that not only have very good deep bass, but also “round”. I listen heavily to reggae, hip-hop, R&B and modern worship a lot. I do have a set of active noise canceling ones but with a child, you want to hear some surrounding noise. During my research, I discovered that there are tons of headphones out there. Cheap, expensive, stylish, retro, conservative, you name it….one for just about every style and personality. Why SOL? I have been asking myself that question. First, my heart took to these headphones. After looking at the reviews, I decided to give it a shot. I walked into the store expecting them to be on display, but they were not. The only way to try them was to by them. With Bestbuy’s return policy, what do I have to lose? My other dilemma was trying to get a sales associate discerning between the regular ones and the HD. I read that the difference between the regular (V8) and HD (V10) engine is a deeper bass and bit more fidelity. I could have tried both and return the one I don’t like, but decided to fork out the extra $30 and see what happens. Also, the sales associate told me that these headphones are not moving off the shelf, but with such a heavy security device on the box, was it worth buying? Only my intuition was saying “yeeeeeees”. Out of the box, my first impressions were impressive as they appear to be solid and well built. Nice design might I add with the sliding head bands with different colors. The wires and in-line controld appear well constructed. Even though you will never intentionally buy headphones to destroy them, they need to survive accidents against drops and rough handling. These appear to be. I also like the on-the-ear design as I wear glasses. My other headphones appear to hurt after 2+ hours. I quickly connected them to see if they match up to my expectation. I cranked up this bad boy and honestly, I must say that I was very impressed with the very good fidelity. I kept wondering how the V8 would sound but intuition tells me that V10 is the way to go. I am sure there is a reason SOL republic has the V8 & V10. Honestly, for the price, I am not even sure the beats are now even worth it. I listened to the beats and as much as they sounded great, not at $300. There was a Sony was $79 that sounded about the same but it was clunky, big and over-the-ear. I do have an Android phone so I won’t reap the features of the in-line controls but the mic works fine and very clear. I also liked the way they sit over my ears. Not too tight and too loose either. I’ve had these for well over half a day with no issues on pressing on my glasses over my ears so that’s a plus for me. Overall, the comfy fit and great sound with the deep “round” bass makes these pair of SOL tracks HD a sure winner for me. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed in these. One up for SOL tracks HD and keep on making quality durable products at such cost-effective price points, and you will reap the benefits.

    Great Powerful Sound!

Bought these headphones after trying out a few different styles that didn't work out so well for me. I had first tried the regular (non HD) Sol Republic ear buds. They were good & that "punch" you hear with the bass drum was full & distinct. However the first time i went for a brisk walk with them they did fall out. On top of that the circular shape of the plastic outside of the buds sometimes hurt my ear so i ended up retuning them. I then decided to give the Bose AE2 headphones for use at home & spend a little more money in favor of a better sound. Well that ended up being a mistake. Not to the say Bose pair were bad but they didn't have that nice punch with the bass drum. Also they weren't loud enough. I had everything on my computer turned up as loud as it would go & it just wasn't as loud as I thought it should be. So I returned the Bose. Then I remembered the good bass response on the Sol earbuds & decided to give the "over the ear" headphones a shot. They were priced well under the "Beats Audio" from Dre. Boy was I happy I did, these Sol HD headphones sound great for almost 1/2 the price of the Beats. The bass is as good as ever! I like mostly Rock & the kick of the bass drum was important to me. Now I've never tried the Beats from Dre so I can't compair the two directly but I honestly can't see them being $100+ better than these Sol Republic HDs. Overall I'm currently very pleased with the product. At 1st glance the price is high but when you compair them to other similar products they're actually very competitively priced but still deliver great sound. Also, make sure you're listening to audio that is high quality, 128kbps and up to take full advantage of the sound.
