Then you have to connect the panel to a source of electricity. And it has to be in full sunlight. The front of my house faces north and there is no way that the panel will get full sunlight all day.

After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Solar Panel is not fully charging your Ring Spotlight Camera Battery. Ring recommends at least three to four hours of direct sunlight, depending on your usage. Make sure there are no obstructions that could cast a shadow on your solar power device, such as an extended roof, tree branches, or bushes. If your installation area is frequently very cloudy or gets a lot of rain or snow, this could limit the amount of sunlight that your solar power device receives.
The solar panel requires direct sunlight. Filtered or indirect sunlight through the clouds will not provide a charge to your doorbell or camera. You have to know where the sun stays up the longest. Then, make sure you place it in that area. We had to move ours to get it in the right position. Very please with this product.

I put the camera up high for optimal view, and with the solar cell attached I never have to worry about the battery. It’s always charged!

But once it’s connected the speed of the charge seems to be quite sufficient.

Would have to get out the big ladder to change it. You won’t be sorry purchasing this.
