After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Solar Panel is unresponsive. Ring recommends at least three to four hours of direct sunlight, depending on your device's battery usage. Make sure there are no obstructions that could be casting a shadow on your solar power device such as an extended roof, trees branches, or bushes. While your solar power device will extend your battery’s life and the time between needed recharges, it does not eliminate the need to recharge your battery. After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Solar Panel is not fully charging your Ring Spotlight Camera Battery. Ring recommends at least three to four hours of direct sunlight, depending on your usage. Make sure there are no obstructions that could cast a shadow on your solar power device, such as an extended roof, tree branches, or bushes. If your installation area is frequently very cloudy or gets a lot of rain or snow, this could limit the amount of sunlight that your solar power device receives.
The solar panel requires direct sunlight. Filtered/indirect sunlight through the clouds will not provide a charge to your doorbell/camera. Works better than expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Ring Solar Panel and a Ring Spotlight Battery camera. I charged the battery fully before mounting the camera. About a week later the camera battery was down to 23% (it's in a high traffic area). I decided I'd put up the solar panel and track the results (Very unscientifically). I checked the battery strength at various times over the next 2 1/2 days. It took a little over 48 hours for the panel to bring the battery from 23% to 100%. This included two cloudy mornings and two bright sun afternoons as well as periodic activity the camera recorded. I suspect with a full battery it should last through any extended cloudy or rainy periods. The camera can also accept a second battery pack to double time the camera can run. Mounted easily and connected to the camera easily as well. The only downside that stopped me from giving 5 stars was the mount. It was somewhat limited in where I could mount it. Overall I'd definitely recommend. The overall average in the first two days was about 3.54% charge increase per hour (during brightest sun it was over 6% per hour).

The spotlight camera doesn’t confirm that it’s connected to solar panel but the batteries keep getting a charge. The stick up camera shows connected to solar panel and maintains 99-100% daily. It’s much easier than having to remove the battery to charge every so often.

I would rather have the ring system my self easy to install you just need a good internet system. Wireless is great annd solar is best. Praying for our Lord to keep it running smoothly.

Exceeds my expectations

Exceeds my expectations. I only have access to full sun for approx 1.5-2 hours a day and the solar panel took the charge from 66% to 87% the first day and to 100% the second. Was very surprised and pleased.
