Backpack for your largest laptops with some flaws
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wish I liked this backpack more. It's attractive and comfortable to carry but let down a bit by the interior materials and storage options. It fits my largest laptops without issue but the inside (un-padded) tablet pocket isn't quite up to the task of holding my 12.9" iPad Pro in its case and, with no straps or padding I wouldn't feel safe if it did. The smaller compartments are lined with a plastic that feels a lot like a disposable poncho (in a pleasantly bright orange at least). Aside from the zippers on the compartments themselves, there are no closures of any kind inside, so nothing seems to want to stay put in the inner pouches. I'm also not sure if a smaller water bottle might be convinced to stay in one of the small side pockets, but mine definitely won't. On the bright side, the stitching seems sturdy and the outside materials feel durable. The zippers work smoothly and seem robust if not comfortingly durable for long-term use. As a budget laptop bag for a large laptop, the Solo Ambition Urban is functional and attractive but falls short with subpar interior materials, limited storage for smaller items and no real place to put a water bottle.

Great tech backpack
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This backpack is great for carrying your laptop and other stuff as well. It fits my 16inch Lenovo Legion Slim 7 laptop inside quite easily and the power adapter as well. Is kind of heavy tho so I do suggest buying a USB type C power delivery cable and like a 100 watt charger if you have a laptop that supports it . Will save you some weight if you're carrying a gaming laptop inside of it. Also has another compartment that can hold an ipad or another type of tablet quite easily as well. Also has two compartments on the front that's smaller. They can hold your phone and other small stuff quite easily ..two more compartments on the side that can hold like power adapter like the USB Type C ones or like padlocks and small stuff. There's also a small compartment on the back that's zippered. Can hold say a passport , or similar stuff in size. The back is passed along with shoulder pads so this shouldn't make it hard to use and should be comfortable enough to carry on your back over long periods of time like on the subway to school or work .

Great size laptop backpack with lots of storage.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had a Targus Spruce backpack for about 10 years and have used it every day to carry first a 17" Dell XPS and then a 15" Dell G5 and most recently a Samsung Chromebook. I have enjoyed the many pockets and other features but it is definitely showing its age! I got this Solo Ambition Urban backpack and am very happy with it. It has at least as many pockets as the Spruce but has more interior pockets which helps me organize all the stuff I end up packing around for presentations and also my snacks. The back has a luggage loop that will really help when I travel, allowing me to let it sit on my luggage instead of needing to carry it. The straps are wide and well padded and are plenty long enough. The laptop section has sufficient padding to protect your electronics as long as you are reasonably careful with them. I have dropped things from fairly low distances and also from shoulder height and have found that it depends more on the angle it hits the ground than the height! Though I haven't tested it yet, I trust this bag will provide a good deal of protection as the padding covers all sides of the compartment. I am not the most excited by the bright orange colors, but they are at least mainly used on the inside and only highlight the outside. The zipper handles are large enough to be easy to grab but not so big that they are in the way. All of my pockets are organized and I am ready to use this for the next ten years!

Well-designed backpack
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solo - Ambition Urban 17.3" Backpack - Black This attractive black backpack with orange striping and an orange interior has lots of pockets, and even pockets within pockets. And the orange pocket interior adds a nice contrast which can make it easier to find those dark items you packed. The main attraction for me was the ability to safely carry my 17” laptop in a padded space. But all of the other pockets and carrying space are certainly a nice added bonus. In addition to the zippered inside padded sections, there are also zippered pockets on each side of the backpack. The pocket on the top outside front appears to be an ideal spot for your cell phone, airline tickets and any other smaller things that you’ll want to have readily available. And, to top it all off, there is a small, zippered pocket on the back of the pack where you can store anything (like cash) that you might want to keep hidden or out of reach. The carrying backstraps are adjustable while the carrying handle and another strap across the back are designed to fit the backpack over your carry-on luggage handle. That’s a very nice touch! Finally, the backpack comes with a generous five-year limited warranty. Other than trying to remember which of the many pockets you put something in (a compliment, really), you simply can’t go wrong with this reasonably-priced unit.

Nice Quality Laptop backpack
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very nice professional looking laptop backpack. It's organized as follows: 1. Large zippered slim rear pocket for a laptop upto 17.3". 2. Small zippered pocket at the bottom left of the back side - this is kind of a "hidden" pocket for discreet storage. 3. 2 small zippered side pocket on the left and right sides, good size for small accessories (cables, chargers, batteries, etc...) 4. Very large zippered main pocket - this is my only gripe with the backpack. This is the largest storage area in the whole backpack, but it has very little in the way of organization, just large slim internal pocket for a tablet. Otherwise, it is just a large compartment. My guess is the thinking is that people will put books, folders, etc... in here. I normally don't travel with too many of these types of things, so would have preferred more dividers/pockets in here to better organize things. 5. Medium size zippered pocket on the top front of the backpack. 6. Small size zippered pocket on the top front of the backpack. 7. Large zippered pocket on the bottom front of the backpack, this pocket has dividers/pockets for pens, business cards, etc.. Overall, lots of storage, and most of it is well organized. Backpack is styled well for business travelers as well as students, so a good choice for anyone.

I found my perfect bag
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been searching for the “perfect” backpack for years. I think I’ve found it. I put perfect in quotation marks because what’s perfect for me is probably not going to be perfect for you, but this back checks every box. I have a job where I frequently need to take 2-night trips away from home, and I would always rather pack all my clothes, toiletries, and electronics in one bag and not deal with a suitcase. For the 90% of the time when I’m not traveling, I want a bag that is just the right size to lug around my laptop, iPad, water bottle, folio, and chargers and allow everything to fit inside snugly and not rattle around. I’m not sure what kind of magic is happening with this bag, but its structure allows it to expand to fit a trip’s worth of clothes and contract to fit a normal day-at-the-office as well. I just returned from a work conference, and this bag was perfect. It fit exactly under the seat on the plane, it didn’t take up a ton of room on my back while standing in the boarding lane, and the straps are wide (and soft) enough that it wasn’t a strain on my back as I carried it through a few airports on my trip. There are a deceptive amount of pockets, including a hidden pocket on the back to slide my wallet in while traveling, 2 side pockets for smaller things like keys, a big vertical pocket on the back with some extra padding for a laptop, a spacious main pocket that I was able to fit an entire trip’s worth of clothes in (and my giant water bottle and a hoodie on a regular day at the office), plus 4 additional pockets on the front. The inside is also a very vibrant orange, which makes it very distinctive. I only have 2 minor complaints about the bag, and they are so minor. The first is that there’s no dedicated water bottle pocket on the sides. There’s not really any room for it with the 2 side zipper pockets (and again, there’s a ton of room inside for my water bottle), but it is an inconvenience to not have instant access to my water bottle. The other minor thing is that there isn’t any place to attach my AirTag keychain like some other bags. It’s not the biggest deal - I’ve just got mine tucked away into one of the smaller pockets, but you should still know it. If it’s not clear, I love this bag. My search is over.

Solid travel companion.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love backpacks! I, like many, many others spend a whole lot of time on my daily commute to and from work and rely very heavily on my backpack to carry all of my daily necessities such as food, drinks, chargers, gloves, masks, and other sanitary vitals. I have tried so many different styles of backpacks (standard, single strap, open compartment, and so on) searching for that perfect travel companion. I'd like to say this particular model comes very, very close to what I'd consider optimal except for a few minute details. This backpack has a very solid structure and plenty of carry space with a lot of separate compartments which make organizing a good number of items very easy without making it feel bulky and uncomfortable. The side pockets where I like to keep my drinks though are kind of small and make it difficult to fit an average 20oz bottle a very tight fit if you're pack is fully loaded. In place of pockets I would rather have the mesh holsters that I've gotten very comfortable with on other packs. The shoulder straps are nicely padded and comfortable which make a huge difference in making the bag feel lighter than it actually is. The material feels very sturdy and is easy to clean. All in all I'm very happy with this bag and the only test left is endurance which I feel it will excel in. I'd highly recommend this backpack to anyone looking for an everyday companion.

Excellent laptop backpack.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great backpack, I work from home quite a bit and need to bring in laptop to work. This also carries my keyboard, mouse, cables, portfolio and the laptop sleeve quite well. There are also some pouches for pens, markers, pencils too. I like the orange on the inside and it really helps locate items quickly. This also stands up by itself and that's something my other bag didn't do well.

Practically perfect in most ways.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This bag has almost everything you would need for a large laptop bag. Ample pocket space for all your peripherals, and cables. Padded shoulder straps for longer carries. Even a small hidden compartment in the back for valuables. A couple things that I noticed however that kept this from being a five star item. One is the lack of padding at the bottom of the bag; this means that you have to be a bit more careful when setting the bag down because any electronics may suffer damage from a rough set down. Also the tablet pocket is a bit small for larger iPads or tablets if you already have them in a protective case. I noticed my iPad Pro 12.9 in a case would not fit in the tablet pocket. Also while I did not have the ability to try it out, there was no indication whether or not this bag was water proof or resistant. So if you buy this beware that any electronics may be subject to water damage if the bag is exposed to rain or snow. Altogether the bag is comfortable and very generous with space. Just be careful of the safety concerns when it comes to jostling your electronics or using this bag in inclement weather conditions.

Missing key features and overall average backpack
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was initially excited to get this backpack based on its description of protecting my laptops and tablets with the padded compartments but ended up a bit disappointed. After testing it out, it seems that the ’padded’ areas are not up to snuff to keep my electronics protected. When being promoted as carrying and protecting oversize laptops, tablets, and other electronic devices, one would think that it would be a bit more durable and ridged. I also found it odd that the double-zipper compartments do not have holes in the zipper clasps to allow for adding a lock to protect my belongings from thieves or snoopers. Especially when they include a strap to go over a luggage handle, Solo assumes you would use this for travel. Just don’t take your eyes off it if you are carrying expensive equipment within. Don’t get me wrong, I do plan to use this on my next trip overseas, but it will be on me 24/7. There are some perks however, such as the hidden zipper pocket behind the backpack and the 5-year warranty. Overall, it seems overpriced for the features included, and I would prefer an alternative that would better meet my needs.
