Great protective sleeve for a 17" laptop at a good price

The "Solo-Pro Padded Ultra-Book Laptop Sleeve" fits my new Hewlett-Packard 17.3" Notebook perfectly. The name refers to hefty laptops, yet it is a somewhat roomy and excellently comfortable fit for a good sized notebook as I have. Prior to finding and ordering this product, I had initially purchased the same brand of sleeve, but it would fit my 17.3" notebook like a tight hugging glove. A standard sized sleeve would've been just right, if it were meant for the purpose of slowly maneuvering it in thru the top and closing the zipper so as to store it for only occasional use. Should you be required to use your device at least once daily as I must, you would need this roomier sized sleeve. Note, that's not intended to imply that there is enough room to provide spaciosness for much else than your PC with a 17.3" screen, or that there are compartments or pouches for keeping or transporting any accessories, other than maybe small items as memory cards and so forth. The fact is, while many other model sleeves specify 17.3", they actually measure closer to 17". To be fair, these are named laptop sleeves, not notebook sleeves, and I suppose a rather snug fit is quite reasonable and to be expected. However, there are obvious benefits to this specific model of "Solo" brand laptop sleeve. Unlike most sleeves, there are zippers on the left and right sides, which allow for both the front and back to open fully and then zip closed from either or both sides. This is not just convenient, but, during travel, this could help make security screenings in airports easier and quicker. In addition to the sheet of styrofoam inserted, it has bunches of cushiony material sewn into its shell, to provide extra protection from potentially moderate shocks. I intentionally emphasize the word moderate, since I doubt that almost any PC sleeve sold on the market has sufficient cushioning to prevent damages resulting from actually dropping accidentally, even at a distance beyond approximately six or so inches. This model, though, does offer much better protection from shocks than compared to most other sleeves. Further, the inner lining features a very soft coating on both sides to avoid scratching. It also would seem to repel moisture slightly, such as in the rain, but definitely not in heavy amounts of water, such as in a flood. This sleeve is made of durable materials and has a good amount of reinforcement all around, so it certainly would seem to last a reasonable period of time, under normal usage conditions. All in all, I was very pleased to find this particular sleeve offered at Best Buy during the same time I had ordered my new 17.3" notebook. My notebook and this sleeve are a truly great match. I am highly satisfied with this product, and I do recommend it to storage and to protect other customer's computer investments.

The sleeve works well for my 17" laptop. The price also is a good value.

Nice material, quality construction. But it did not quite fit my MSI GS 76 laptop as snug as I would have liked. A little large for a 17.3” laptop.

THIS WAS REALLY THE ONLY ONE WE COULD FIND FOR THIS NEW LAPTOP. IT WAS A VERY TIGHTY FIT, ONLY THE COMPUTER COULD FIT, NOT EVEN A CORD WITHOUT WORRYING IT COULD CRACK THE SCREEN. WISH THAT LARGER ONES WERE AVAILABLE

Good product for the price. Would recommend this if you're need a good computer for a reasonable price. Best buy made the buying experience pretty straightforward. I purchased online and the product was ready and available when I showed up.

Good product, need to have a pocket space for a charger and a.place for a mouse. This review is only for the product, the customer service really sucks!

This was the only option for a 17" laptop. it's very soft. but there aren't any pockets and it is very bulky. Additionally, the zippers go all the way around three of the sides. Definitely would have liked more options.

The sleeve looks good when you get it but once you use it you will realize that it does not give any protection except for anti scuff. Minimal padding an no drop protection.
