Customers are saying

Customers commend the Duane Hybrid Briefcase Backpack for its ample storage, versatility, and suitable size for most laptops. Many appreciate the bag's quality, numerous pockets, and lightweight design, finding it perfect for carrying their devices and accessories. While some users noted minor concerns about padding and shoulder strap durability, the positive feedback on the bag's functionality and design significantly outweighs the negative comments. The briefcase-backpack's ability to transition between carry styles is a frequently praised feature.

This case has lots of features....you can carry it like a briefcase or wear it like a backpack making traveling with it much easier. It's stylish, stays clean, has lots of zippers and made well. All the seams are reinforced and the separate compartments inside, (with cushioned attached inserts to separate them) and out provide room for a tablet, books, magazines, a zip pocket for the cords and another for miscellaneous things. It also has places to put pens inside with other small pockets allowing for easy finding of whatever you may want grab.

We received new laptops at work with new laptop bags recently, and that is where the trouble started. The laptop bag squeaked and wasn’t as roomy as my previous bag. I ended up buying this bag and am glad I did. Changing between backpack and briefcase is as easy as using a zipper. My laptop, charging cable, mPow 071 headset, paperwork and other miscellaneous items fit perfectly. I bought these through a Deal of the Day and my wife has asked me to get her one the next time it is on sale.

Best laptop bag I've ever had, has enough pockets for all my accessories plus my laptop! I was pleasantly surprised that my razer headset, mouse, gaming controller, portable hard drive, large razer mouse pad, and my razer laptop (15in.) All fit without making it look over packed! The icing on the cake is that it can be worn as a backpack, messenger bag, or carried like a briefcase (plus there's a storage pocket for all the included straps).

Not much to say about this product except for a couple things: Pros 1. Modern Styling=great looks 2. love the versatility of the backpack/briefcase ability 3. very affordable 4. sturdy design Cons: 1. If you have a slim laptop, such as the HP Envy x360, or similar, the Velcro retaining strap is never going to get you a very secure hold on your laptop. 2. Padding is decent, but I still would not want to drop the bag with laptop inside. 3. Got caught in some heavy rain for a very short amount of time from car to hotel, and the outside of the bag was quite saturated, although the moisture did not reach the inside. 4. Storage space is slightly minimal, BUT, as non-bulky as the bag is, it's acceptable for majority of stuff you'll need. Overall, I'd recommend it to someone that is looking for a sleek, non-bulky, modern bag that can be used as either a briefcase design or backpack!

First thing I am going to say is that it took a little getting used to having a square backpack. Kind of awkward feeling, aesthetically, for some reason. But once I adjusted to that I actually kinda like this bag. For $60 it pretty versatile and seems very durable. And it does have a 5 yr warranty. Do not expect it to hold a great deal of items. It says 15.6" laptop capacity, but it holds my 16" laptop just fine and could probably even slightly larger if you needed. on the inside it holds my laptop, ipad pro 13", and a mouse. I could probably get a few magazines, folders, notebooks in there but that's started to push it. The front pockets hold my mouse, laptop charger, a battery bank, and some pens and usb drive and ssd external drive fine. That's about all I would feel comfortable fitting in the whole bag with it starting to burst at the seams. I do love the versatility. The ability to switch between backpack and briefcase/courier style is a nice touch. And when you're using it as one, there are pockets to tuck the other straps into and hide them so you don't have straps hanging everywhere all the time.

Just What I Was Looking For

Simplicity and versatility. I hate bags that have too many pockets and slots. This one has just the right amount. Main compartment with padded sleeves for both laptop and tablet, and enough room for a couple books or thin binders. Two outer compartments: one small with a secondary pocket, and the other larger with a few slots for cards and pens. The bag is designed so it can be carried as a briefcase, messenger, or backpack; though I prefer using the bag as a sling pack by attaching the messenger strap crosswise. While its primary uses are personal, the design is nice enough that I have no issues using it for work when I need to. Thus far, the bag has proven very sturdy, carrying as much as forty pounds without breaking (though this was only for the few minutes between the house and the car and then another short walk from the car to the office). I can see where the price might be an issue for some people. There are other bags with more capacity, or organization, or durability, or more pleasing aesthetics. I just happen to find this bag has the right amounts of all those things for my needs, so I had no issues with dishing out $50 for it.

Put this through its paces the past few weeks with several work trips. Been amazing for a larger laptop and a tablet. Fits everything with room to spare. Love how smooth the magnetic buttons on the side handle are. Great for airports, especially with TSA pre.

I travel quite a bit for work and started to notice my old bag weighing me down because it was large enough to carry more than I ever needed. Thought I would force myself into carrying less by getting this bag and am very glad I did. It is large enough to hold my laptop, iPad, Sony 1000mkII's, a mouse and all cables without feeling bulky or over weight. The straps for using it as a backpack are short and only go around my shoulders, but they are comfortable and work well when being used.

This bag can be summed up in one single adjective: greatastic. I consider myself somewhat of a laptop satchel snob, having carried only two such contraptions daily for the last five years, a Timbuk2 and a Lowepro, five consecutive years each, merely because I hadn't found another in the sub-$150 range that was worth my time or money. So whilst perusing the large selection of lappy bags I deemed inadequate, I stumbled upon this gorgeous specimen of a transportation device. With the elegant look of grey denim, the versatility in the backpack option, and the sheer computer girth this thing can handle, it was want at first sight! I purchased it right away and have never regretted it. From the superb stitching to the elegant lines to the zippered pockets perfectly made for your computer's power cord, allowing your beloved lappy to say "Get outta my compartment, power cord! You work for ME now," this laptop holdall certainly hits the mark, whichever way you look at it!

This is a very versatile laptop case. I like it so well I purchased a second case. The external compartments keeps the charge cords away from the laptop and provide ample storage carry both the laptop and files, etc. needed for work. The capability to carry as a briefcase or convert into a backpack is awesome!
