I need a better headset for a singer

I think it may be defective. I was hoping to upgrade to a better Bose headset. I'm normally supposed to wear hearing aids, so great, loud high quality sound is important. Also the plug and microphone don't work at the same time, I tried that too.

The only issue is that it’s hard to use the mic , people often can’t hear me and also other people can hear what’s being played in the headphones.
