It's more of a rent then buy it.

It has a good story but not interesting to watch over and over. If you're a true Batman fan go ahead and buy it, but once again I suggest rent this one.

Fun movie, not quite on the same level as WB's excellent Batman animated series, but worth a watch if you're a fan of the DC superhero universe.

I'm used to DC making better cartoon movies then this but I would still tell people to watch it to give you an idea what's going on in the DC world.

Good movie if you like batman, or are too lazy to read what it's based on. Not quite as good as some of the other DC animated movies though.

Not the best Batman movie but descent

This was a descent adaptation of Batman and Son. I felt that many scenes were too slow and adding Deathstroke was just a horrible choice.

This was a solid attempt, but I think there are far better movies out there such as Red Hood. It is a decent attempt though.

Not one of the better DC animated movies. Artwork looks great but script and voice acting are a little corny sometimes

Pretty average as the DC animated movies go. I would like to see more characters beyond Batman and Superman.

    Continuing New 52 nonsense

DC Entertainment recently announced that their line of popular and successful animated DC Comics movies would shift from their formula of adapting stories from all over their universe to creating a single, shared universe, adapting only their rebooted New 52 universe stories. The problem is that their New 52 universe is not exactly well liked. It all comes off as a vanity move by the architects of the New 52 who seem to refuse to acknowledge that people aren't responding to their experiment. This presented a problem with the prior movie, Justice League: War, where the plot was plodding, the acting was mostly weak, and everyone, including Superman and Captain Marvel, were repulsive jerks. That continues with the next New 52 movie, Son of Batman, with the same exact problems. When you spend the entire movie thinking about how much of a jerk one of your main protagonists are and how bad the voice is for the other, you've failed at making a good movie. With two complete duds in a row (and no sign of it letting up any time soon), it really feels like the end of an era.
