Sub bottoms out on Christmas movie moderate volume

I used my receivers microphone to set it up, watched a new Christmas movie with the family on Netflix and this sub was bottoming out bad in the deep base. I currently run a Klipsch 10 inch and the sonance isn’t even remotely close. The Klipsch never bottoms out. Well. If you think you are getting 2k worth of speakers for 600$, think again. I don’t think the sub is defective, I just think it can’t handle the 100watts the little amp is supplying to it. The in ceiling speakers look nice but I can’t justify keeping this kit with such a terrible sub. In the end I will return this kit, keep my current Klipsch sub and look for a different brand of in ceiling speakers. The reason for the change is simply because I’m building a new house and want to move away from the large free standing speakers.

Not sure based on what you have written if there was something about the installation and or set-up, as we have supplied this subwoofer and in-ceiling speaker package to so many satisfied customers. We do know that sound is subjective, and while we would have liked to have supplied you with products that fit your needs, we appreciate that you gave our brand a try. Installed these into my precutouts in my new construction home and they sound great! I was able to direct the highs toward my sofa so it sounds like you have a center speaker right in front of you. Combined with my Onkyo receiver for a great powerful combo!

In short, they are great. I paired this system with a JBL subwoofer, a Denon S750H receiver and an Epson 5050 projector with a 127” 2.4 aspect ratio screen. I have one sub in the front and one in the back and the sound quality is amazing. We watched A Quiet Place 2 recently and it was very immersive, high highs and shook the house. More than I thought I could have in a personal home theater.

Very happy with the purchase, the bass, depth and detailing are very good. I was going with Polk initially but then Best Buy tech from the store suggested this. I really liked the sound and got a better deal. It is a Magnolia product so the built and quality is very premium.
