I have purchased the 5.1 system and added 2 additonal speakers for height. They perform great. I have another atmos system, klispch, and they sound just as good. Installtion is a breeze with the included template. They look nice with the string magnetic cover. Nice tight fit without any rattles or other noise. No distortion noted even when i push them. Overall, i would recommend.

I purchased 2 sets of these speakers to completed my 7.1 home theater speaker system. They are paired with Polk Signature S60 fronts and a Polk Signature S35 Center. A Monoprice Monolith 12 inch Sub handles the low end. A Pioneer Elite VSX-90 Home Theater Receiver powers the speaker system. Since my home was pre-wired for back and side surround speakers installing the Sonance speakers were easy. They are solid well built units. They definitely have a high end feel to them. It's kinda scary cutting into the ceiling for the first time, you only get one shot at it but the supplied templates made things easy. I carefully measured the ceiling to insure the speakers were installed in the proper locations. As a plus both the tweeter and woofer can be moved within the bracket so aiming the sound toward or away from the listener can be done for fine tuning. Now the sound. Once I ran the auto EQ on the Pioneer receiver I was treated to an amazing soundstage. Left right sound positioning was spot on. The sound envelope was seamless across side to side and front to back. The sonance speakers added a level of detail I had not heard from both music and movies. Not too warm and not too bright. I'm not sure if an MSRP price of $600 is justified for these but at the sale price these speakers are a steal. Get them. you will not be disappointed.

Excellent speakers and was very surprised with sound quality. Im powering these speakers with a Sonos amp and all 4 speakers sound really good. They didnt sound that good in the store and had a muffled bass sound but that all changed when installed in my ceiling. I do have to say I ordered the speaker retrofit enclosures and they reduced my sound quality and got the muffled bass I heard in the store. So if you dont care if sound carries through your house if in the ceiling. Then dont buy the enclosures. Easy to install and comes with cutt out template. Speaker grills magnetically attach to speakers for easy adjustment. Great quality and would purchase again.

I just wish I had more rooms to install these awesome speakers!!! This is by far the best value for speakers out there! They sound amazing! I installed the pair in my bedroom and couldn’t be happier with the sound quality. I have tried them all Nile’s, MartinLogan, Bose, Yamaha, etc and these far and way my exceed these mid-higher level brands. And for the price these are a steal!!! Try these first and then if inure not happy go and spend $800-$1k for like speakers. Take my word, you won’t be disappointed!

    Very Good Value Speaker

Purchased when Best Buy dropped price to $149. Clean install, They do what they were designed to do. Affordably do the job. There are better sounding speakers and better built, however the the price point and built are adequate for the application. In ceiling speaker can not equal other speakers, so don't expect them to have any frequencies in the lower range as they were never design for that. They fill in as rear satellites overhead ad no other type of speaker would have passed the wifey approval process, and fill that role very well. I recommend them, especially at that price point. 4 stars because they make much better sounding speaker at 3 times the price.

Put 6 speakers (3pair) in my dining room and kitchen ceiling. I have these powered by a cheap 6 channel 600 watt total pyle bluetooh reciever (under 100 bucks on amazon) and these sound amazing great all round speaker treble mid bass. Literally i can feel my floor vibrate. I thought they sounded so great i picked up 4 more sets for whole home audio. I could only imagine they would be even better with a well known reciever / dual zone capabilities. Highly recommended

I received theses speakers very quickly and installation was extremely easy. The speakers are solid, they feel very well made. My house was pre-wired for sound so all I had to do was cut holes in the ceiling and connect these up. The mounting system is great so that you can get the tabs to rest on the drywall and you don’t have to hold the speaker in place any more while you tighten the screws. The magnetic covers are awesome as well. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is that I just haven’t been as impressed by the sound as I thought I would be. It could be that I don’t have the calibration quite right or perhaps they are just a little small for the room I have them in. They work great and sound good but we have to crank our receiver up to about 50-75% of max power to get decent volume out. This is a new Yamaha receiver I bought to go with these speakers and should have plenty of power per channel. Still, I’m satisfied with the purchase and would buy these again at the price I paid.

First and foremost thanks for taking time to write and review our speakers. To answer your comment and question about proper calibration and overall volume levels, there are MANY variables that can factor in here (overall room size / volume, wall surfaces, furniture, etc ...). If when you're at 50~75% volume range it's creating enough sound output to be good to great I'd say let it play and enjoy. If you want it to play noticeably louder, I'd recommend adding a subwoofer to your system. sonance

I put a 7.2 surround in the house and used 6 of these in the living room. Then in zone 2 we put a pair in the bathroom. Clean clear responsive . I firmly believe my living room sounds better than the theater. In the bathroom, they get way more use than I thought they would but being able to bluetooth your songs while you're in the shower is great. 2 of these in the ceiling jams the bathroom , plenty of bass that doesn't bottom out. The kids want to use our bathroom and put the music on before they even get in there.
