I replaced Atrium 8s with them. Powerful, crisp and punchy with great bottom end. Seriously good. I just added a JBL SB2210 subwoofer and dedicated amp. OMG I have THE best sounding patio I have ever been on, domestic or commercial, and it gets SERIOUSLY loud, crystal clear with no distortion all the way to the top of my SONOS amp. If you don’t know you want a subwoofer, these are the best outdoor speakers you can buy. If you know you want a subwoofer, these are the best outdoor speakers you can buy and I highly recommend the JBL SB2210.

You cant go wrong with these. Plus I got them on an Open box special! *since photos were taken I put the siding back together.

Sound quality is quite good for outdoor speakers. These speakers actually produce some legit bass, although it can become bloated on bass heavy tracks. Using a Denon pma 600ne (45w) amp, which provides plenty of power for clean sound at loud volumes if desired.

I had previously purchased Def. Tech 6500, and the driver blew, then B&W outdoor speakers, and I returned them for the Mariner 86. It feels that you are at live concert when you turn them up. Spend the extra few hundred and upgrade to these. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.
