I would probably give this 3.5 stars but it wouldn't allow that. i mostly enjoyed it because it's another Jim Carrey goofy character. Kinda of a throwback role to his fun 1990's characters. Story is just ok. James Marsden is good in it.

Like Detective Pikachu, I rolled my eyes at Sonic. But shockingly, it was pretty good. Jim Carrey is back doing Jim Carrey. The Sonic redesign looks great. And no, don't expect The Godfather. But Pikachu, Sonic are showing that video game movies don't have to be awful! Worth a look!

Surprisingly entertaining movie. Better than I thought it would be. Good comedy, story, and a little action. Also great colors and picture to test on a 4K tv.

Sonic is my favorite video game character since I was a kid and this movie brings him to the real world well. Looks great in 4k too

Love this movie. I played the game on my Sega Genesis in the 90's. My son loves this movie. It's very funny.

We rented this movie first and my wife enjoyed it so much she wanted to buy it. Had a decent price here on Best Buy so we purchased a copy. Quite entertaining.

This was a blind buy I did not have high hopes for. Overall I was pleasantly surprised. Its not a masterpiece or anything but it was a very solid B popcorn movie. It doesn't take itself seriously which is part of the reason it works.

I wasn’t sure what to expect but I needed something new for my 6 year old son to watch so I decided to try it. He absolutely loved it and watched it 3 times in the first week. While I didn’t share his enthusiasm, it was entertaining especially having played sonic growing up.

This was a really good movie perfect for little kids and the forever young. Full of laughs and action and some heart warming moments as well

This movie was a pleasant surprise. It made me laugh, and feel good. The elements of my childhood favorite game were spot on. Jimmy Carey was perfection! Such a fun movie!

As far as video game movies go this is probably the best one, the reworked animation is a lot better. The movie is great and Jim Carrey does a great egg man.

Loved it when saw in theater, much better than expected, sonic and all CG look good. Cute story and Jim carrey was hilarious as robotnic. Paramount confirmed sequel too

Loved the movie. Did not like the story line of Jim Carey's character or why he was looking for Sonic. Did not tie into the storyline at all in my opinion. Jim's character could have been Gargamel from the Smurfs. It was that boring. Everything else about the movie was fantastic.

I absolutely love this movie. I love that the mini comic book is the movie retold comic book style and Sonic is done as his sprite. Super cute. Love the steelbook too!

Saw this movie in theaters and it was amazing. Jim Carrey was at his best. The steelbook has one of the best artwork. Definitely a must have foe Sonic the Hedgehog fans.

What could have easily turn into a grand disaster become one of the funniest, fun and enjoyable movies for everyone. The steelbook is great which compliments the movie.

Didn't get to see it in theaters, so i decided to pick it up on Black Friday. I really enjoyed this movie, it's one of the best videogame movies ever made.
