    I was really hopeful for this movie but was disappointed overall. It's nice to see Sonic's backstory and it's nostalgic for those who remember the original SEGA Genesis, but the story just didn't do it for me. Jim Carrey was sub-par compared to his usual roles. The animation effects were cool though and there were some funny and cool parts. The kids will like it.

    Audio and video are great quality. I just didn’t find myself drawn in to the story as much as I had hoped. Somebody gave Jim Carrey too much free reign with his character… that may have been okay before Jim dove off the normal diving board and splashed into weirdo-Hollywood territory years ago… but it just struck me as unfunny and out of touch.
