    Ear cups are too small!

The ear cup cushions are only 2.25 inches long vertically, and then past the cushion there's not much room for your ears either. Google says the average ear length is 2.5 inches, and mine are a little bigger at 2.75 inches. These headphones make my ears hurt with extended wear and I have to tuck my ear lobes inside the headphones. My girlfriend has Sony XM4 headphones which are a bit bigger and more comfortable for my ears. Why would Sonos make these so small? I've been excited waiting for these to come out for years and now I'm disappointed. Sonos really made me mad when I was setting these up too. I followed the instructions in the app to set up the audio swap feature and couldn't find the buttons to set it up. I kept searching and reading the instructions for about 30 minutes, only to eventually learn (from a stranger on a community forum) that the feature isn't available yet for Android. The instructions in the Android Sonos app pretend like the feature is ready when it's not, and Sonos doesn't have the decency to not waste people's time. It's disrespectful to waste half an hour of more of my time searching for something that doesn't exist. How hard is it to put a disclaimer in the app or the instructions that says "coming soon for Android"? That's literally all they had to say to not waste my time. I was really excited about these headphones and wanted to love them but I might have to return them because they're not comfortable.

It sounds frustrating that the Sonos Ace headphones didn't meet your expectations, especially in terms of comfort and the functionality issues with Android compatibility for features like audio swap. Your feedback about the ear cup size are much appreciated. Thank you for the review! john.milton

I decided to purchase these because i am heavy into the Sonos ecosystem. I use Apple products as well. The packaging is classy and thoughtful. I purchased the white headphones. Out of the box, ran a quick update and off to bliss i went. The spatial audio with headtracking is great and the feel of the headphones are solid. I learned that lossless cant be done over bluetooth so i connected rhe usb c to my phone. The price is premium, but definitley worth it. Plus with two year total tech, it was a no brainer. Bass is great and adjusting the eq in the sonos app was easy. The sound is great and opened up a whole new world

Have Sonos speakers and was looking to expand. Great sound, easy to use, and not as heavy as it looks. Only downside is it can be a bit much after an hour or so of use

Tired of Waiting for Lossless on AirPods Max

Sold my AirPods Max and bought the Sonos Ace headphones. Sole reason is the availability of Lossless (only thru Sonos supplied cables). I live in Apple world. I'm guessing the Ace headphones would be a bigger hit if Bluetooth Lossless on IOS devices was available like they are for Android devices using the latest SnapDragon chip. Sucks they do not. Come on Sonos..... fix this. The Ace headphones don't let you down. If Bluetooth Lossless ever does become available on AirPod Max, I'm going back to them.

the good; very good sound. great ANC. great ergonomics and controls. cool party trick - the TV audio swap. legacy audio and charge cables included. the bad; too heavy, not too comfortable over time. pleather cup cushions are too hot/sweaty - seems like a great opportunity to offer a cooling-cloth option. the App and eco-system performance - the App has good options, but using the App is frustrating.

Absolutely the best over ear headphones I've tried. I also own Bose Q45 and the Sonos just has the better bass and dynamic sound. The Bose have crisp dynamic sound but lack the bass to fully provide the range I prefer. The quality is exceptional and solid filling. Worth the money, especially if you got it during black friday sales at $349.

These are certainly nice headphones but can’t compete at their current price in such a crowded premium headphone market. If you have a supported Sonos soundbar these will be more appealing, but if not it’s harder to choose the Sonos Ace over comparable offerings from Sony or Bose. The Sonos Ace were comfortable enough and sounded good in ANC mode. Transparency mode had a slight hiss, but hopefully Sonos will fix that with a software update. The earcups did get a bit warm after wearing them for a while, but not terrible. I expect that sooner or later these will go on sale similar to Bose QC Ultra. When they do the decision on which to get will be more difficult. But for now Sonos Ace are hard to justify unless you have a Sonos soundbar.

Good sound quality in general. Clear highs and mids. Little lacking with deeper bass but to be expected for this headphone class. Disappointed with a beer very annoying crackling sound in both ears. Sounds like static. Read of others having the same issue. Also, disappointed two can't connect to TV at the same time
