    Sonos Arc

The Sonos Arc is awesome when you have equipment that can take advantage of Dolby ATMOS! The sound flys around the entire room! The only issue I have with the Sonos Arc is that it only has one HDMI port that you have to use to connect to your HDMI eArc/Arc port on your TV. If you don’t have an eArc port the best you will get is Dolby Digital+ which is just shy of Dolby ATMOS quality. This is the case for me right now. If the Sonos Arc had a second HDMI port I could connect my 4K Apple TV directly to it which would allow me to get Dolby Digital+, I am limited to Dolby Digital only via the AppleTV right now.

Thanks you very much for taking the time to review Arc! We appreciate the five star rating despite not having a feature you would be able to take advantage of. We're honored you chose us to fill you home with sound! john.milton

I purchased the Sonos Arc, Gen3 sub and a 250 watt amp to push rear speakers. I already had amp pushing two BW front speakers and external sub. The only issue i ran into was that sonos would only allow my setup to include the Arc, Rear speakers, and Gen3 sub since the arc is supposed to be the front and center speakers. I was able to get everything to work as one and it sounds incredible. I had to use the sonso app on my cell phone and combine both setups to run as a group. Only down fall is that you need to use your cell app to control the volumes, But it sounds incredible for both Music and movies. Will purchase another arc for bed room

Well opened the huge box.. no remote control? On the pricey side. Easy hookup, sounds radiates up well to fill the room with robust sound also when watching tv voices very clear. Replaced a Bose 700 sound bar …. And so far very pleased- definitely an improvement App easy to work with… easily programmed tv remote Be sure you have plenty of room this is a large speaker - I’m using with a 55 inch tv and speaker is as long as the tv.

Purchased the Sonos Beam and it sounded like it, sound was narrow and flat. Upgraded to the Arc, it has a much wider sound stage and fuller bass response as it has twice the drivers. I have the Arc paired with Ikea Symfonisk rear speakers hacked with a high level input to a 12in MTX home theater sub, skipping the Sonos sub gen3 for now. Unfortunately Sonos doesn't have an additional HDMI input to take advantage of Dolby Atmos so I upgraded to the Sony 65 A8H that has the necessary e-Arc HDMI port. Atmos is available on select titles within a few streaming services ie Space Force on Netflix but Schitt's Creeks same service does not produce Atmos. Overall the soundbar sounds great but don't let the hype fool you its a single soundbar and doesn't provide enough standalone for my liking and for the price you could get more like the Vizio Elevate full surround 5.1.4 which has excessive inputs and could produce Atmos on an older TV with compatible device such as Nvidia-SHIELD. I'll keep the Arc as it was what I wanted but the full package is just so dàmn expensive.

Bought this on the recommendation from an associate when I was shopping for a new tv. So glad I took his advice. Paired with the gen 3 sub the sound is amazing. I will be adding a second sub and era 300’s soon. Absolutely recommend!!

The Sonos Arc is a good Soundbar. Is it worth the price..well that is up to each individual. The setup is super easy. Instructions are clearly written. The unit is heavy and you could hurt someone with it. The build quality is great! Prior to purchase you need to evaluate the following: 1) Does your TV have Atmos Capability? If it doesn't you will NOT get the full experience of the soundbar and you will wonder why you spent so much money. My Samsung TV had Atmos Capability so I am good. A lot of people who negatively review the Arc did not evaluate their current TV prior to purchase. If you have a soundbar currently connected to your TV, highly recommend you remove it and reset TV sound settings prior to installing the Arc. Why? Your TV, especially, if Samsung will transfer the settings of your current soundbar to the Arc causing you issues with the Sonos App settings. My issue with the soundbar is that while moving between TV channels the sound fluctuates high / low. I can't find a way to stabilize via the App or TV settings. Honestly I am not sure whether Samsung, AT&T Uverse or Sonos should be blamed. My TV did manage the fluctuations in TV Channel volume prior to the soundbar installation.

So, I know all the reviews out there have touted the Sonos ARC as one of the best, but the cost was a little higher than most, and I thought that was just the "Sonos" tax...you know, what you have to pay for the name brand and whatnot. I was wrong. It is def worth the extra cost over the mid to lower range of soundbars. I bought the yamaha one before this, and thought it sounded fine, but a little thin throughout the mid range. Maybe almost a bit "tin-y". So, my wife convinced me to upgrade and get this instead. I'm so happy she did. It really fills the room with sound and you can feel the warmth of the sound cascade down. This is true with TV and movie sounds, but especially true when playing music. Even if you think that it might be a jump up from those that are highly rated in the $200-300 range, but let me tell you, it will be worth every cent to do so. I couldn't be happier with the purchase!

I went to the Best Buy store to look at soundbars. The quality of this product is much better than a soundbar I had purchased years ago. I eventually purchased the Sonos Arc soundbar to accent a Sony OLED TV. Sound is perfect. I like the ability to add to the system in the future. Best Buy associates are very up to date on the differences between each of the products and were very helpful in this purchase. Size is perfect and the balance between the speakers is right on. Sonos did a great job with this product. Oh, and I think it looks great mounted under the TV.

If you’ve been on the fence about Atmos soundbars and this new model by Sonos, time to get off the fence and plunge in. This particular sound bar was an upgrade from a much older one. It has been a very dramatic change and has enhanced our viewing and listening pleasure. As others have mentioned, it comes packaged very nicely-in fact it is probably the nicest and most functional packaging I’ve experienced. Save the box unless you are sure you won’t be moving anytime soon. Hookup was straight forward and easy. There is an app for your device which adds some useful functionality in terms of “tuning” the device to your particular needs-such as listening at night or using a setting that emphasizes voice. The Atmos AI features are very interesting and they add another dimension to listening. Go to YouTube and find some of the demos and you will get an idea of capability. I do not have the sub-yet. But it works and sounds great without it.

This Sonos sound bar has fantastic sound. The Geek Squad spent time adjusting it to the dimensions of the room and the result is theater quality sound, The voices are very clear and the bass and mid-tones outstanding.

Best Dolby Atmos soundbar especially paired with the sonos ones ( Gen 2) for the rears and Sub (Gen3)on the market today. The quality/sound of this product blows other competitors away. Recently had the Samsung 990B soundbar 11.1.4 ch set up and the thing is garbage “RETURNED”. Samsung produces a New soundbar every year and the sonos still has better quality/sound w/the dolby atmos sounding “INCREDIBLE “Don’t forget Sonos is a speaker/sound company they take pride on just that. Ps. Samsung is junk always have disconnecting issues with the soundbar, rears & subwoofer. Explains the significant price dropping . Take it from from me who loves movies and sports “Get The Sonos”.

Works great, great sound. I like that I can use it for the speaker in that room. You really do need the amp and the rear speakers to make it worth its while so that does not make it cheap. Very easy to use/setup.

I've been using Sonos since 2000 and have always loved the ease of use and great sound and this is no exception. This replaced the previous version soundbar and I can notice the difference in sound and feel that it would be worth the upgrade.
