No this does not have sound comparable to a full 5.1 system, yes it is very easy to set up and make room for, no it is not very cheap at all especially with recent price hikes, yes it is probably substantially better than bargain basement soundbars.

Sound bar works great. We have in our movie room and has sound of movie theater. Can even play music through and hear throughout entire house.

Great sounding product. I would recommend adding a sub and some additional speakers to allow it to really shine. On its own it can be muddy trying to do everything.

Upgraded from the beam! Super nice sound the the vocals are crisp and clean. Adding the sub is a must to really feel the surrounding effects.

I was debating on whether to get this or the Bose 700,but I must admit that the Dolby Atmos option put this over the top. Wouldn't go back now.

Base is crisp and fills a fairly large room if they come up with a reliable surround sound system that I can add I'll be a happy camper.

Love it. I have it in my camper and really does the job. I added the sub woofer because in my opinion it still needed something to help out the low end.
