Solid on its own way better with a sub.

Pairing this with the sub is next level as other have mentioned. I use hdmi earc to run this with an apple tv and a samsung tv. It works very well and the app is easy to use to set it up. I have since added sonos one sl to the rears and it is very good.

Without the surround speakers the atmos effect is dependent on the type of room you set this up in. In my room which has one open wall I was able to hear quite well the atmos effects using the leaf and rain Dolby atmos demo files. Although it wasn’t as immersive as I would have liked. In a room with full walls I assume the experience will be better than mine

Cons: over priced, lacking granual controls, requires an online account that can not be deleted without an active Sonos product. Summary: tested for a week. Returned for a traditional system at half the cost.

This sound bar is another great sonos product. Sounds great for TV and movie sound, but music sounds just as amazing. Sonos app makes it easy to join your sonos products for whole home sound.

I just upgraded and it was totally worth the investment. The sub woofer is integral to the amazing experience, I think purchasing the sound bar without the sub would take a great deal away from the overall experience.
