Not sure why my review I wrote about this was never posted by Best Buy....here I go again...I was eager to get the ARC...and now I’m so disappointed with the sound....I swear the beam has better bass...and both the Beam and Playbar have way better sound stage...the sound from the Arc is weak...I expected a much fuller sound...i also have the complete set up...Arc, Gen 3 Sub and two one SL’s... so so disappointed with the Arc...However the overall sound quality with the Sub and SL’s is very good in movies...good separation...I’m thinking even an update, it will not be able to make the Arc have better sound stage or a fuller sound that it should have for $800...Sonos has to know all this...SAD !!

Thank you for your feedback about the Arc! As with all Sonos products, the Arc will continue to improve over time. Since it sounds like you are having a good experience with movies it may be worth taking the time to check what signal is coming into the Arc with other content (found in Settings > System > About My System). If you are listening to true Dolby 5.1 or Dolby Atmos content with movies, but stereo sound with other content there will be a difference in separation and quality. Additionally, make sure to run the Trueplay calibration on your Arc to really tune it into the room! john.milton

I wish I could give a zero star review! Beware buying ANY open-box item from Best Buy! We bought the Sonos Arc for our outdoor pool house. Unfortunately (and through no control of ours) construction was significantly delayed by contractor and our return window expired before we installed the arc. Once we did attempt to install we discovered it would not connect to the TV. Through troubleshooting with Sonos direct we discovered the HDMI port was severely damaged right out of the box! Even though the item says excellent condition. Best Buy customer service was of zero help and could not careless. Extremely rude customer service. DO NOT BUY OPEN BOX FROM BEST BUY

I have had problems with since a week after I purchased it. The volume would automatically go down to muted/ no sound. I have had the geek squad out twice and asked for a replacement…. I’m being told that the Geek Squad Manager says I have to remove the unit myself and get it serviced. Unacceptable!!!

I'm going to start by saying I'm reviewing this with the sub gen3 and the one's for surrounds. I am no stranger to good audio. I have a $5000 full Infinity system in my basement with 3 subwoofers . I also am coming from last year's big sound bar the Samsung q90r. It was unanimously named the best Dolby atmos soundbar of 2019. I moved that to my bedroom and added the SONOS to my main living room. I'll quickly talk about setup. It can't be easier. The app is very simple and everthing works perfectly. All speakers connect automatically and update. It just works. LOVE THAT YOU CAN NOW ADD A SECOND SUB!!! Hopefully I'll add another soon! Sound quality is Amazing!!! I’m going to compare this setup to the Samsung q90r and the q950r. Both of those soundbars are the 2 best from the main companies in my opinion. LG nrg11 is solid but not as good as those. The Samsung bars are very boomy and have a lot of power behind the sound. My main problem with both is the bass is very muddy and dormant really kick! It is loud off placed correctly though. The bars themselves do atmos just ok and when a lot is going on you lose the depth in the sound and it kind of jumbles in a mess of loudness. Some people may like this..until you here what is capable with the SONOS. The Sonos arc alone has much better spatial audio and a lot more width in the sound. The bar does a great job directing sound throughout the room! Much better than the Samsung or lg bars! Of course those other bars come with surrounds and a sub. So when you equip the Sonos with the sub and a pair of Sonos ones it really shines! First off the arc actually has pretty good bass for just a bar. But the sub is capable of amazing bas response. It weighs almost 40 pounds which most people who know audio will tell you is a great thing! This thing sounds premium. It should for the price right! I like a lot of bass and I have mine on 7 of 15 and this thing pounds! The bass is very clean and has that “hit” I’m looking for. No more messy, bulging boom. Just clean bass that you can feel. 1 sub is plenty loud for any room but With the latest update you can now add a serving sub. This will help create an even more emersive sound and add more thump of course. The surround audio also sounds great. The speakers you get with the normal combo soundbar setups are complete garbage but they do serve their place. The Sonos ones and one sl’s are full blown great speakers on their own. They have great sound fidelity and even put out some bass when asked. The Sonos is so good at isolating they single sound. In movies I’ve seen dozens of times I’m hearing small background sounds I’ve never heard before. In music you hear ever instrument totally separate as if they were all coming out of different speakers. I can’t recommend the Sonos arc full surround setup enough! It is not cheap but it’s worth the price if you enjoy great audio!

Highly recommend! Excellent sound bar. Prior to owning this I had the LG SN8YG 3.1.2 hooked up to an OLED65B7P. I thought that was a great sound bar but I had been hearing great things about the Sonos Arc, and my wife and I wanted a Sonos system for the home for seamless playing throughout the house. Well, I can’t speak highly enough of the Sonos Arc. It’s fantastic. I bought the Sonos Sub (3rd Gen) along with the Arc and I feel like I’m at a concert when you crank the volume way up. The bass is amazing. Very impressive. I watched Saving Private Ryan in Dolby Atmos and it sounds like the planes are flying overhead and bombshells are going off in my living room. Wild! Sonos created a very impressive piece of equipment here. There are some issues with lip sync but that’s common with most soundbars. I heard about a product called “HDFURY Arcana.” It’s supposed to ensure lossless Dolby True HD sound and help eliminate any lip sync issues. Arrives Monday so excited to see how much better this system can be.

I had the top of the line LG soundbar with Atmos, subwoofer and rear speakers. I thought they sounded great, until they stopped working. I had heard a lot about how good the Sonos speakers were so I thought I'd give them a try. WOW! I'll say it again, WOW! I was blown away by how much better the sound is and how much smaller it is than the LG. Just the Arc by itself has a lot of bass and fills my den with immersive sound. The Atmos really sounds great with sound coming from seemly all directions. I added the Subwoofer and things really started shaking. The bass was tight and deep but not boomy. But this is a review of the Arc so I'll stick to that. It was easy to set up. Has a great app that helps to tune the room for the best sound. Don't worry about the price. If you want great sound this is the soundbar you should be looking at.

Really nice sounding product. Very well made. Very well packaged. Adding the Sub to this makes a very noticeable difference. I would highly recommend the Sub. Fairly room filling sound with the Sub. I have the Bose 600 on a different TV but no Sub on that one yet. Not much comparison there. Sonos wins. The Bose almost just sounds like good TV speakers to me. I also have a Sonos 5 paired when playing music. Sounds pretty amazing. I also have 17 Alexas working together to play music and those sound almost as good. Yes, I know that's a lot. Those are my three choices for music and the Sonos ecosystem seems the best. If you sit in between the Arc and Sub and a Sonos 5 - you'll be in sound utopia. The App has had major issues but is getting much better and there's the price of all this - so I drop one star - otherwise 5 stars.

Replaced a higher end LG Atmos bar with this one. My LG was constantly destroying my WiFi signals. First off it just blends in . The sound is beyond what I was expecting by far. Having owned other sound bars I thought for sure I would need a separate sub. Sonos has done an excellent job in creating a pleasing bass response . It’s a very heavy sound bar. I’ve always equated weight to performance when it comes to any audio product. Usually the heavier the amplifier the better the sound. Setup is a breeze . The app is very intuitive and easy to use. I have an iOS phone so was able to use the sound setup feature. Also nice to open the app to see that you are recovering the Dolby Atmos signal. My tv is an LG oled that does support eArc . I had issues with my LG sound bar where the Atmos would hiccup during playback of certain movies. The Sonos has never missed a beat. The dialogue coming from this is so pleasing. Very clear and full range. I’m hearing subtle background sounds that I never really realized were there before. As with all speakers I expect this to get even better the more I use it. The bass from this is beyond what I expected. It actually produces a decent amount of bass. Having other sound bars I really expected needing a sub.. The room I have it in is a rectangular design with 9ft ceilings. With my old LG bar I invested in the separate rear surround speakers as I just could not get the feel of any real rear sound. Enter the Sonos arc . I actually do a double take as I think there is sound coming from the now disconnected rear speakers. It actually works really well to move the surround both around and over you. Very impressed as I though I would be investing in a pair of SL’s to provide the needed rear surround. Again like the sub I’m not sure it’s needed. Overall very happy with my purchase and far exceeded my expectations for sound quality. I was an early adopter if Dolby Surround back in the 90’s . It’s amazing how far technology has come to provide such an immersive sound in such a small package.

I bought this after buying / returning a few soundbars. I purchased with the sub and the two subs and OneSL. Overall it’s an amazing system - great for someone looking for an easy to setup, use and understand system with high quality design and sound. What I liked: - The system is very easy to setup. This was my first Sonos system, and it only took 15 mins to setup. Beautiful packaging - Sonos includes both an HDMI and optical cable. However, if you can’t use HDMI to your TVs eArc you won’t get the most out of the system. - The sub and the OneSLs are wireless, so no long wires to run. - the Sonos app makes it easy to tune / control - The quality of the sound, voice and bass and surround is amazing. Bass is very strong and I highly recommend you get the sub (vs the OneSL if you are making a trade off) - Easy to stream directly to the sound bar, play music from iPhone, integrates with all major music apps like Spotify. Can also add Alexa - the other soundbars I returned had various issues ... sound would cutout at certain scenes (after research it is a lag from audio/ processing in Dolby Atmos which soundbar was not handling properly), Sonos had no issues playing the same tracks and at higher volumes showed no distortion What are things to be aware of: - no remote, so need to use App. However, it powers up and volume adjusts with TV remote (as case with other soundbars with eArc connections)... so need app mainly for setting adjustments or if you want to use for music, etc. - there is a limited amount of setting / adjustments available on app. For me it covered all the important elements - e.g., back speakers volume, bass, night mode, voice Clarity. - finally - comment on Atmos, if you don’t know what that is - do some research on. After several systems, i found that the surround system is great and side way movement is amazing (esp with Sonos) ... if you want to hear sound coming from top.. you should really get speakers in ceiling. The concept of sound bouncing off the wall to mimic top speakers is interesting but I found it not very effective.

The sound quality is absolutely amazing. The bass is good, but would highly recommend buying the subwoofer in conjunction with the Arc to take it up a notch. Another great feature is the setup. Only two cables to connect and the actual setup is done through an app. The app works great and functions as a remote control, so you don't have to fumble with another remote. Lastly, the Arc seamlessly ties in with your TV, so the factory TV remote control will adjust the volume without issue. Great looking design on top of all that

I’m not an audiophile so I don’t know anything about what actually does and doesn’t sound good however I will say that you won’t go wrong with this sound bar. I use them in my bedroom with my LG CX 65” tv. I have tested how my TVs internal speakers sound against the Sonos Arc and imo the Sonos Arc gives more umph to the overall sound (I never have the sound go past the halfway point as that’d be too loud) I think for some people though the sound difference may not warrant the cost. For example my mom and sister told me they wouldn’t have bought the soundbar if they were me because they felt the TVs speakers were more than enough and the CX does have some pretty good speakers for a TV. I do like that setup for the Sonos Arc was very simple and that the idea is for you to add more speakers and subs if you want in the future. I will say, if the Arc is loud enough (like past the halfway point) and the music gets loud your floor may rumble a bit (mine did). Design wise it’s super elegant and I really like how it looks with its rounded shape, it adds to your entertainment center as far as aesthetically pleasing goes. Music sounds very good on here and so does the mixture of sounds from video gaming. It just adds that extra bit of clarity and texture to music and sounds that the tv speakers on its own can’t. (CX speakers sound very tinny compared to the Sonos Arc.) If you are perfectly happy with how your tv sounds then I’d say don’t buy this and save your money. However, if you are thinking about getting into surround sound and/or want quality sound to go with your home set-up I’d definitely recommend getting this. I’d also note that if you want real tangible bass from your sound then you really have to get the Sonos Sub for that as the Sonos Arc doesn’t give off much bass but you honestly don’t need it the Sound bar gets plenty loud on it’s own if sound clarity is what you want the most. So as far as the product goes, yes it’s amazing and you will get what you pay for which is a quality product. However I think it’s best to try out different sound bars at the store to see what suits your ears (I say this meanwhile I totally didn’t do this and just bought these based off good reviews.) If you want a Sonos product then yes I think most people will be very happy with this sound bar. My only thing against the sound bar is the price but I don’t think that the price takes away from the quality of the product which is why I give it five stars. Yes, it’s too expensive and I think Sonos would make everyone happy if it was at least $600 but that’s just how I feel about it personally. I’m very happy with the Sonos Arc and I’m even thinking of getting the Gen 3 sub. Buy it if most of these apply to you: -You like Sonos products -You want clear and crisp sounds -Intend to be using this sound bar a lot -Really unhappy with your TVs speakers -Have $800 to spend on a quality sound bar Do not buy this if none of what I said above matters or applies to what you want or at looking for.

Saying the sounds pretty good with a Sub and a Sonos 5 is quite an understatement. I can't think of anything I own now or have ever owned that sounds better - especially for the price, the footprint and the ease of use. All these things working together sounds amazing for music or TV. The 5 can go in the kitchen - a long way from the big screen tv and soundbar and provides tv sound in the kitchen for the kitchen people. What are they doing in there? Come in the Living Room. Attach the Sub to the bar to allow it to use it's smaller speakers for mid-range vs the lows. The recent App release was a disaster but there has been an update and it's much better than it was and will eventually be fixed completely - maybe. Today's date: 20240724
