Really nice sounding product. Very well made. Very well packaged. Adding the Sub to this makes a very noticeable difference. I would highly recommend the Sub. Fairly room filling sound with the Sub. I have the Bose 600 on a different TV but no Sub on that one yet. Not much comparison there. Sonos wins. The Bose almost just sounds like good TV speakers to me. I also have a Sonos 5 paired when playing music. Sounds pretty amazing. I also have 17 Alexas working together to play music and those sound almost as good. Yes, I know that's a lot. Those are my three choices for music and the Sonos ecosystem seems the best. If you sit in between the Arc and Sub and a Sonos 5 - you'll be in sound utopia. The App has had major issues but is getting much better and there's the price of all this - so I drop one star - otherwise 5 stars.

I bought this after buying / returning a few soundbars. I purchased with the sub and the two subs and OneSL. Overall it’s an amazing system - great for someone looking for an easy to setup, use and understand system with high quality design and sound. What I liked: - The system is very easy to setup. This was my first Sonos system, and it only took 15 mins to setup. Beautiful packaging - Sonos includes both an HDMI and optical cable. However, if you can’t use HDMI to your TVs eArc you won’t get the most out of the system. - The sub and the OneSLs are wireless, so no long wires to run. - the Sonos app makes it easy to tune / control - The quality of the sound, voice and bass and surround is amazing. Bass is very strong and I highly recommend you get the sub (vs the OneSL if you are making a trade off) - Easy to stream directly to the sound bar, play music from iPhone, integrates with all major music apps like Spotify. Can also add Alexa - the other soundbars I returned had various issues ... sound would cutout at certain scenes (after research it is a lag from audio/ processing in Dolby Atmos which soundbar was not handling properly), Sonos had no issues playing the same tracks and at higher volumes showed no distortion What are things to be aware of: - no remote, so need to use App. However, it powers up and volume adjusts with TV remote (as case with other soundbars with eArc connections)... so need app mainly for setting adjustments or if you want to use for music, etc. - there is a limited amount of setting / adjustments available on app. For me it covered all the important elements - e.g., back speakers volume, bass, night mode, voice Clarity. - finally - comment on Atmos, if you don’t know what that is - do some research on. After several systems, i found that the surround system is great and side way movement is amazing (esp with Sonos) ... if you want to hear sound coming from top.. you should really get speakers in ceiling. The concept of sound bouncing off the wall to mimic top speakers is interesting but I found it not very effective.

The sound quality is absolutely amazing. The bass is good, but would highly recommend buying the subwoofer in conjunction with the Arc to take it up a notch. Another great feature is the setup. Only two cables to connect and the actual setup is done through an app. The app works great and functions as a remote control, so you don't have to fumble with another remote. Lastly, the Arc seamlessly ties in with your TV, so the factory TV remote control will adjust the volume without issue. Great looking design on top of all that

I’m not an audiophile so I don’t know anything about what actually does and doesn’t sound good however I will say that you won’t go wrong with this sound bar. I use them in my bedroom with my LG CX 65” tv. I have tested how my TVs internal speakers sound against the Sonos Arc and imo the Sonos Arc gives more umph to the overall sound (I never have the sound go past the halfway point as that’d be too loud) I think for some people though the sound difference may not warrant the cost. For example my mom and sister told me they wouldn’t have bought the soundbar if they were me because they felt the TVs speakers were more than enough and the CX does have some pretty good speakers for a TV. I do like that setup for the Sonos Arc was very simple and that the idea is for you to add more speakers and subs if you want in the future. I will say, if the Arc is loud enough (like past the halfway point) and the music gets loud your floor may rumble a bit (mine did). Design wise it’s super elegant and I really like how it looks with its rounded shape, it adds to your entertainment center as far as aesthetically pleasing goes. Music sounds very good on here and so does the mixture of sounds from video gaming. It just adds that extra bit of clarity and texture to music and sounds that the tv speakers on its own can’t. (CX speakers sound very tinny compared to the Sonos Arc.) If you are perfectly happy with how your tv sounds then I’d say don’t buy this and save your money. However, if you are thinking about getting into surround sound and/or want quality sound to go with your home set-up I’d definitely recommend getting this. I’d also note that if you want real tangible bass from your sound then you really have to get the Sonos Sub for that as the Sonos Arc doesn’t give off much bass but you honestly don’t need it the Sound bar gets plenty loud on it’s own if sound clarity is what you want the most. So as far as the product goes, yes it’s amazing and you will get what you pay for which is a quality product. However I think it’s best to try out different sound bars at the store to see what suits your ears (I say this meanwhile I totally didn’t do this and just bought these based off good reviews.) If you want a Sonos product then yes I think most people will be very happy with this sound bar. My only thing against the sound bar is the price but I don’t think that the price takes away from the quality of the product which is why I give it five stars. Yes, it’s too expensive and I think Sonos would make everyone happy if it was at least $600 but that’s just how I feel about it personally. I’m very happy with the Sonos Arc and I’m even thinking of getting the Gen 3 sub. Buy it if most of these apply to you: -You like Sonos products -You want clear and crisp sounds -Intend to be using this sound bar a lot -Really unhappy with your TVs speakers -Have $800 to spend on a quality sound bar Do not buy this if none of what I said above matters or applies to what you want or at looking for.

The Sonos Arc 5.0.2 delivers clear dialogue, a wide soundstage, and an immersive Dolby Atmos experience, especially for movies and TV. Sound quality is excellent for a single soundbar, with balanced mids and solid bass. It also works seamlessly with other Sonos products; setup is easy, syncing is smooth, and the ecosystem integration is a big plus. Overall, it’s a premium, reliable soundbar that’s well worth it, especially if you already use Sonos.

Extremely pleased with the Sonos ARC. Had bought a Samsung Q900T to pair with my Samsung TV thinking they would actually work really well together. Turns out the Q900T would not stay connected, the wireless sub lost connectivity every other day, the TV never remembered the soundbar after being turned off... So I ordered the Sonos ARC with some trepidation - would this one behave as poorly. Short answer: NO! Sonos packaging is beautiful. The soundbar looks great. I plugged it in, downloaded the Sonos App on my phone, it performed a software update, and then Asked me if I wanted to set it up with my TV. Setup was smooth, worked flawlessly. The soundbar has simply turned on as it should with the TV, is extremely clean and clear, bass is good. Maybe somewhere down the line I would get the bass module, but I don't need it, it would be a want. The soundbar sounds great playing music, lots of clean bass. Movies it does a really nice job of creating a surround-like experience, much better than I had anticipated. Overall extraordinarily pleased with this purchase. I also got the mounting hardware to hang this below the TV.

Few Days Days Later & The Verdict is...

This is not a “technical” review, but rather this is a consumer and audio “enthusiast? Review. If you’re looking for technicals and numbers and such, you’ll find plenty of those...elsewhere. Background: My Television is a 65” LG C9 OLED. I had a Nakamichi Shockwave 7.1 for a couple of years. While it was a mere “okay”, it was a bit troublesome with the rears and the sub disconnecting at random and having to reboot the system and just not good altogether. I have been researching a replacement for about 9 months. I read almost every review on every soundbar . Might it being just a bar, or 2.1, 5.1, 7.1 or all other combination. Saying that, I did not want just a soundbar; I wanted a system consisting of the bar, sub and rear surrounds. Dolby Atmos and DTS: X. Sonos ARC kept rising to the top in almost every review. JBL, Bose and Samsung sandbars were mentioned a lot, but the ARC managed to always rise above them all. So, two weeks ago I placed my order for one Sonos ARC, one Sonos Sub (3rd Gen) and two Sonos One(s). Unpacking the system was a delight. The packaging very much reminded of how Apple packages their products, iPhones, iPads, etc. As you unpack each item, immediately you’ll notice a “heft” to it. Heavy, remarkable workmanship and very attractive. This system is not cheap. Put together the cost is $1900. But is it worth the money? Well...read on. First setup consisted of the ARC by itself. I wanted to see how it stands alone. Set up was a breeze. You download the S2 app, and it walks through every step. Once you are done, then you should run TruePlay. This will allow your soundbar to learn your room so it can distribute the sound intelligently. The entire setup and TruePlay takes about 3 minutes, then you’re good to go. A note about connecting your ARC to your TV. I read a lot of criticism about the ARC having only one HDMI port. While it is true, there is only one HDMI port, which supports ARC and eARC (not to be confused with Sonos ARC) the criticism is not really on point, IMO. The caveat with this soundbar is you will need a “newer” television which supports the ARC and eARC protocol to get the full advantage of it and for Dolby Atmos and DTS: X, because all your components have to be connected to the TV’s other HDMI ports, and the TV then passes all signals through ARC or eARC to the Sonos bar. So, if your TV is not new enough (I believe it has to be 2018 or newer) perhaps the Sonos ARC is not for you. First Test: As I mentioned, now I have the soundbar on its own No sub and no rear speakers). I watched Hamilton on Disney+ Vis Apple TV 4K and via the Disney+ app on the LG TV . I have not watched the musical before so I really had zero expectation as to how it will look or sound. Well, let me tell ya...The Dolby Vision picture was absolutely tremendous. Connecting Apple TV directly to the TV showed that the Nakamichi was robbing me of a beautiful picture, as obviously it did NOT pass thru the true Dolby Vision signal. The picture was that good now. Hamilton is in Dolby Atmos on Disney+. The Sonos ARC sounded awesome on it’s own. The dialogue was clear, the music was crisp and the sound distribution was great. The bass was absolutely present; alas not thunderous, but it was there. On this test, the ARC scored a 4.5 stars (I will explain the missing half at the end of the review) Second test: Connected the Sub to the ARC. On the S2 app, you just tell it you want to “add sub” and you for low the instructions. On a Sony X800-M2 UHD 4K Blu-Ray player, I watched John Wick Chapter - 3 Parabellum. The ARC did a wonderful job in the sound distribution again. The bullets are absolutely buzzing left to right, people are coming at you from the front, the back and everywhere. Then there is Scene 3 in the movie. This is the motorcycle chase with Wick on the horse. The SUB filled the room with and awesome and thunderous bass. I hid the sub to the side of the sofa in the media room, and you could feel the beat everywhere in the sofa, the floor, the walls and just about everywhere. The addition of the sub to the ARC has created a totally new experience. On this test, the score is a full 5 stars. Third test: Added the 2 Sonos One speakers as surround sound. Go back to your S2 app, select add Sonos One(s) and follow the instructions; it will even asks you if you want to set the speakers as a pair of rear surrounds. When done, PLEASE don’t forget to run TruePlay. This will once again calibrate the entire system you have now to adapt to the configurations of the room and surroundings for the best sound distribution possible. Believe me it works like magic. Easy peasy. Next up, is Avengers Mad Max: Fury Road. Now...Sit down, and get ready for an experience you only find in a movie theater, not in a house. As the movie starts, Mad Max’s voice will come at you from everywhere in the room. Then he gets in his car and takes off, and the War Boys arrive...from ABOVE & Behind you. I literally had to duck because I thought something was above and close to my head. When this movie was released in 2015, it was made for this Sonos system. It is a pure demo for the system to flex its muscles. Sound is coming at you from everywhere. Just immersive in every meaning of the word. The crispness and the very punchy bass just tears through and through the entire move, relentlessly. Next is Avengers: Endgame. The bass is ridiculous now. It will shake your house if you turn it up more than 50%. The sharp sound is coming at you from every angle, and the super heroes are flying all over your living room, media room, or whichever room you are watching from. On this test the score is an astounding 5 stars out of 5. Now let me address why I gave the ARC stand alone a 4.5 stars. I did so, because I heard the system with the rears and the sub, which made the sound from the bar itself a bit lacking. Otherwise, the ARC gets a solid 5 stars as well. The Sonos system is not for everybody. It is expensive. It does require a new(er) TV and it has no remote control (who needs it). But if you want the best, you owe it to yourself to at least give it a look. In summary: The Sonos ARC combined with the Sonos Sub and two Sonos One(s) is an absolute stellar of a sound system. Dolby Atmos, DTS: X, DD+ or any surround sound will sound like other on any other soundbar. Setup is easy utilizing the Sonos app (S2). The workmanship on the speakers is flawless and shows an eye for details, and the entire system is very pleasing to look at and will fit in your home whether you are modest or traditional. I know has been a lengthy review, but if it helps at least one person, then I consider it a successful one.

Saying the sounds pretty good with a Sub and a Sonos 5 is quite an understatement. I can't think of anything I own now or have ever owned that sounds better - especially for the price, the footprint and the ease of use. All these things working together sounds amazing for music or TV. The 5 can go in the kitchen - a long way from the big screen tv and soundbar and provides tv sound in the kitchen for the kitchen people. What are they doing in there? Come in the Living Room. Attach the Sub to the bar to allow it to use it's smaller speakers for mid-range vs the lows. The recent App release was a disaster but there has been an update and it's much better than it was and will eventually be fixed completely - maybe. Today's date: 20240724

Bought this to replace an old Sony htc800 bar with sub and wireless surrounds. Setup was extremely easy and the Sonos app is a lot btr than Sony’s. Coming from a soundbar with surrounds and sub, I was initially disappointed. Even though it was filling the room (btw - look for some Trueplay tuning tips on YouTube… btr than Sonos instruction video), I was used to, well… more volume and bass. After a few days, I realized the sound (especially when watching Atmos or any Dolby content) was much superior to my old 5.1 Sony bar. Much superior - don’t mistake volume for detail. I was used to “loud noise”, now I had refined sound and yes, the bar really does do a good job of filling up the room, and it does have bass, don’t get me wrong. Like I said, I just didn’t realize it. If you’ve never had a surround system or a soundbar, you will love this thing. I have a TCL Series 6 Roku tv. Roku came out with an OS update which added eArc, which allows for Atmos. Also have an Apple TV 4K (1st gen) and PS4 slim which work great with this bar. You might need to fiddle with some settings on your other devices, but the bar itself does what it does. Last thing - although I was happy, I still bought two Sonos Ones for surround and a Sonos sub for more bass. Adding those to the system was silly easy easy with the app, the bass rocks, (I mean it rocks) and the surrounds output so much more than the Sony’s did. Again, not just volume, but volume and detail! Now I’m truly blown away. Don’t ever need to crank it - after retuning Trueplay, it’s awesome. Plus… if I could afford it (this stuff is kinda spendy) I could add another sub! This is a great bar, sometimes you get what you pay for. Add the rest of the stuff over time. You won’t be disappointed!

Is it a bit pricey.... YES. However you get what you pay for unlike other companies that charge you for their name. Best sound quality by far. Setup was easy. Mounting to the wall was easy. Just make sure you take your time and measure properly. My only complaint, it only has one input for hdmi. Not a deal breaker but would have been nice to have an RCA input for older equipment. It sounds great by itself but I also recommend the subwoofer for that total full sound quality.

Total game changer for movie watching. We wanted a new surround system that supports Dolby Atmos for the Samsung 75” Q80T. We got the Arc with the sub before our new tv came and even on our older 55” TCL Roku tv it completely transformed our viewing experience. I can totally understand why people spend more money on their sound system that their TV. It completely changes the emotional experience of watching a good movie. I loved the sound so much it made me just want the full experience, so I went back to BestBuy and got a couple One SL speaks to use as surrounds. Set up and adding speakers was really easy with the iPhone 10. We have good wifi so connectivity had zero issues. The Trueplay tuning is really quite impressive. We have a our flat screen mounted off to the side of our living room so theoretically not the best for even surround. When you do true play tuning you walk around the room using your phone like echo location as the system creates various sounds to measure the space. When I was in the furthest corner it actually sounded like there was a speaker in that corner. It truly envelopes the whole room with sound. When helicopters fly about you hear it as the ground rumbles. Sometimes I swear I can hear the friggin dust float through the air in a scene. As a sound system for music it does a phenomenal job for high fidelity music streaming. If you can afford the ARC I highly recommend it. You’ll probably want to an on the bass and surrounds to indulge fully. However even as a stand alone sound bar you will be very pleased. In fact my friend that lives in apartment got the same system. She says she may return the sub because even turned to a -1 her neighbors hate her.

It connects wirelessly to your TV through HDMI eARC or ARC, ensuring a hassle-free installation process. Additionally, the Sonos app provides step-by-step instructions that guide you through the setup, making it accessible even for those who are not tech-savvy. Let me start by saying that the Sonos Arc Soundbar is an absolute game-changer. I bought this thinking, "Sure, it’ll sound better than my TV’s built-in speakers," but wow—this thing turned my living room into a full-blown cinematic experience! I had to check if my walls had installed subwoofers while I wasn’t looking. The sound quality? Chef’s kiss. Dolby Atmos? It’s like being inside the movie but without the risk of getting hit by flying debris. It’s so immersive that I started looking for an umbrella when I first heard rain in a movie. What blows me away is that I didn’t need additional speakers for the full surround sound experience. The Arc is all you need. Trust me, I usually end up in a tangle of cords trying to set up surround sound, but this bar gives me the same effect, minus the cable mess and my usual frustration with tech setups. The integration with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa is excellent too. Now, I don’t have to lift a finger to change the volume or switch tracks—yell at Alexa or Google like the queen of my living room. Even better, they listen, unlike my 14-year-old (but that’s a whole other review). In conclusion, the Sonos Arc is worth every penny. You can't go wrong with it for movie night, music, or just chatting with your friends about how amazing your sound system is. This soundbar gets all the stars. If it had more, I’d give it those, too.

I will say that this is my first sound bar so I don’t have much to compare it to, but I can say that I’ve replaced a 5.1 Denon and Klipsch setup with this bar and two Sonos Gen 2s along with the sub. (I decided to go all out) My tv is currently only capable of arc and not earc, I look forward to doing that upgrade later, but with the ease of setup and use of this system with the Sonos app and syncing music streaming services, it has been great! The clarity out performs my old set up, the bass again is clearer but I don’t think as thumpy as my Mirage but in no means a slouch. This system is tremendous. I can hear dialogue like I couldn’t before. I haven’t even used the Truplay calibration and out of the box it’s been great. In short, if you can afford the whole thing, it can definitely replace a 5.1 or 7.1 and save space and look aesthetically pleasing. Do it! You won’t be disappointed.

We purchased a Sonos Arc and Sub to compliment our Sony Bravia OLED television. Originally, we wanted to save some money and we went with a LG 5.1 sound bar with the rear channel speakers. When we realized that the rear channels needed to be plugged into an additional box (not true wireless), we purchased the Sonos and returned the LG. And, what a wise decision that was! The design of the sound bar is nice and looks great under the 77” Sony. Setup was fairly simple and the option to use an optical out is nice. Initially, I went with the optical out because I have 4 HDMI connected devices and did not want to use one of my 4 HDMI inputs for the sound bar. The down side to that was that my TV remote could not control the volume of the sound bar when using optical out. I decided to use the ARC HDMI port and get a HDMI splitter to have the cable box and the Switch run through 1 input. The functionality of the Sonos app is pretty spot on as well. It allows you to stream multiple music services from your phone to the Arc. We will be adding rear channels to our home theatre setup as well and I look forward to integrating our entire house with Sonos speakers. While the price tag is a bit steep, I highly recommend this setup.

Absolutely thrilled by the Sonos Arc Soundbar with Dolby Atmos, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa in White! This soundbar is an absolute game-changer, and I couldn't be more impressed. The first thing that strikes you is the design - the elegant, sleek white finish perfectly complements any space. But it's not just about looks; the performance is where the Sonos Arc truly shines. The Dolby Atmos technology delivers an immersive sound experience, creating a whole new dimension to my entertainment. Whether it's movies, music, or gaming, the sound quality is nothing short of phenomenal. The audio is rich, detailed, and spatially dynamic, offering an experience that feels like being in the heart of the action. The integration of Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa is a brilliant addition. It's incredibly convenient to control not just the sound but also other smart home devices with simple voice commands. The smart features are responsive and add a new level of ease to my daily routine. Setting up the Sonos Arc was a breeze. The system seamlessly connects with other Sonos speakers, allowing for a multi-room audio experience that's both convenient and impressive. The user-friendly app makes managing settings and playback a hassle-free experience. This soundbar is not just an audio upgrade; it's a lifestyle upgrade. It’s transformed my home entertainment setup, bringing a cinematic experience right into my living room. The attention to detail in both design and performance is truly remarkable. Overall, the Sonos Arc Soundbar in White is a pinnacle of innovation in the world of home audio. It has redefined what's possible in terms of sound quality, design, and smart integration. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to elevate their audio experience. Sonos has undoubtedly set a new standard with this exceptional product.

I decided to downgrade to sienhisser ambeo mini after comparing the audio quality. But if you're using the arc along with a Sonia woofer then it's definitely worth it. But just wanna stay in budget, need quality audio, small living space, only want soundbar, go for ambeo mini

This soundbar covers all the area you could wish for in a sleek package. As someone who lives in an apartment it was important that the sound bar can fill a room with sound and acceptable bass levels without it bleeding into the neighbors space. This sound bar creates an immersive soundstage, good low end reproduction(for not having a sub) and has a good(not perfect) overhead Dolby Atmos stage. If you are on the fence about this soundbar, I say give pull the trigger and give it a try for a week. Other benefit to note is a Sonos Subwoofer can be added along with satellite speakers such as the Sonos Ones or Era line up.
