Love our new Sonos system, Went looking, wasn’t sure what we wanted, sales people were very helpful. Originally wanted the black, not in stock til November. Salesperson convinced us to get the white for now, see how we like it, can always swap for black come the time. Needless to say the white looks great in our open concept living area. Easy set up and enjoying!

Great sound and easy setup. I paired it with the sub gen 3 and the era speakers and it all sounds amazing. Better than my original 5.1 setup and much more discrete especially when mounting it directly under my tv. Got all components on sale with open box making it much more affordable.

I can't comment on how this sounds by itself so take this review as a grain of salt. I have the full set up with sub and 2 Sonos one SL's. It sounds fantastic all together. Now before this I didn't have the most expensive surround sound system. It was a $500 Yamaha system, but was great. I was honestly sick of the wires and receiver and multiple remotes. This simplified everything, and again sounds amazing in my living room. Audiophiles will always scoff at soundbar systems, and I understand. I wouldn't use this for a movie theater room, but for my living room and gaming, it's absolutely amazing. My only gripe is the price, very expensive for the full system.

This was really simple to set up. Just make sure to have an iOS device handle for True play calibration. Music and movies sound great. The voices are clear, amd the soundbar packs a decent amount of base for movies. Dolby Atmos track sound amazing. Thus has really made my movie watching experience way better.

I have been an avid Sonos user for the past 5 years. The Sonos Arc is an impressive and premium experience even without a subwoofer or extra speakers. But I added it to my existing Sound Beam, 2 S1 SL and S1 and the soundbars offer even better positional sound effects for the whole apartment making a dynamic audio that's perfectly clear. Even without a sub, you would feel the oomph of bass coming from every speaker enough to rattle the walls but not really disturbing the next-door apartment. Though, I still plan to add a sub when there will other price cuts for Sonos products in the future. And, being Sonos, it's excellent with music as well as movies.

This is a great soundbar, i compared this with the q900a and i think they both sound good with the 900a sounding a bit wider but i did not like the latency on that soundbar...this one sounds not as wide but this is definitely more detailed in some aspects. Dialouge is definitely better on this one, voices come out clear and as a main focus...this is more on the bright sound side of things...i just wish the soundbar came thr the subw but oh well...i am however impressed with the bass on the bar itself and i would say the bar itself has way better bass than the q900a bar itself (if the q900a bar even had bass). Anyways next step is to get the sub since i do enjoy that cinematic level of bass. If you're a gamer, want low latency, and want to hear everything very clear especially voices...and overall prefer a clean type of sound then this is the bar for you....not to mention Dolby Atmos and all the other features i habent mentioned. Do your own research before you buy though.

I HAVE BEEN NOTHING BUT IMPRESSED! I am by no means an audiophile but I owned a cheap LG 2.1 soundbar. I decided that I wanted to pair a really good soundbar with my LG C7 OLED. I can confirm if you have a TV that is capable of putting out Dolby Atmos content then you can without having an eARC port but you do need to have ARC support at least. I have this place in my bedroom and I know this is not a true surround sound system but it does one heck of a job of bounces sounds off the walls and making it seem like it is surround sound. I was watching John Wick and was in aww how the of all actions scenes of how loud it got as well delivering the bass I needed. However, after seeing so many reviews I will be purchasing the sub fairly soon. Just the soundbar alone is phenomenal and the setup was a tad bit tricky but once it is up and running it is easy to use. Patiently waiting for my PS5 to come in the mail to test this out. But I have no regrets about my purchase the only thing it is pricey but definitely worth the money if you are able to spend that kind of money.

Thia aoundbar is amazing when paires w the matching subwoofer. I thought it was very pricey but I find its worth it. It sounds as close to the theater as i think you can get for in home audio when cranked up loud an action type movie, this ofcourse is when paired w the subwoofer. I also like the option it gives you for speech mode in the app if you want the talking voices to be more clear w less base or the night mode if you want to watch late when others are sleeping . We love it. I highly recommend splurging and getting the subwoofer too. Not just the soundbar if you want the true experience. The set up is super simple..you dont need to hire the geeks.

I love this soundbar!! Best sou dbar I've own. Sound is very crisp, can hear more details in movies. Man was i missing out. Love the fact that it supports dolby atmos. I'm happy with my purchase. Only downside about this is the price but the sound that comes out of that makes up for it.

This is an amazing soundbar. Sonos s2 app to setup is a breeze. Your tv must have Earc (enhanced audio return channel) to pass thru Dolby Atmos. .in my case my 85” Sony does. All 4 hdmi channels pass they the atmos channels perfectly. You have to look at the app to confirm that you are viewing an atmos program . Although the audio out pretty much confirms its. You cannot play dolby atmos programming without an Earc tv. There is only 1 hdmi out on this device. No way to add anything. So you may have to look at the rear of your tv to confirm that it is indeed Earc channel equipped. Not to confuse with just plain ARC. Nevertheless, all other non atmos programs sound great also. If you don’t care about dolby atmos, then none of that will matter. Now, if you want full immersion you need the Sonos 1 Sl rear speakers. It’s adds about 400 to the price but will blow your mind. With the rear speakers, tHis is the most immersive soundbar I’ve ever owned. And I owned quite a number of premium bars. This is definite buy. Oh, one last thing , I don’t think the sub is necessary. It has great bass on its own.

This was my first Sonos purchase and I think it’s safe to say they will be who I turn to for sound and speakers. I was in much need of a sound bar. I had a Samsung bar with a sub from 2014...and although I never had problems or issues with that sound bar, it just didn’t seem like it couldn’t quite put out the power I was looking for now. So I did my research and came across this arc. Man am I glad I pulled the trigger! The Dolby Atmos this thing offers when paired with with the right TV is unbelievable. Honestly when I first powered this up I was blown away by how clear yet powerful it is. It’s pricey...but if you’re wanting to upgrade or just have a setup that you’re proud of for movie night or big games...this is the sound bar to get. The Sonos gen 3 sub will soon be joining the arc in my home and I’m excited to see how next level it’ll sound.

    Sonos Arc or Bose 900?

Every conversation regarding a soundbar these days, will usually have the Arc mentioned at least once and there are good reasons for that. However, the soundbar does have some quirks that might be a deal breaker for you or might not. I tried the Bose 900 and that had a few of it’s own issues, so I wanted to try the soundbar that everyone was talking about, so here we go. SOUND The sound quality is generally good, but straight out of the box it is not setup optimally and will require some tweaking to get the most out of the bar. Honestly though, turning off compression, setting dialog mode to on, setting the loudness option to on, and tuning the device ends up being a process, because you don’t realize the sound tends to be off balance without the Dialog mode turned on. Straight out of the box the sound was off balance, the highs were high enough that it bothered my ears, the lows were slightly overpowering of the mids, and volume levels were erratic. Comparing this to the Bose 900, all I had to do with there was but their puck mic on chair in the middle of the room and stay quiet while it tuned the acoustics for me. So, after all that tweaking, the sound is really good and it now has much better balance. I no longer have volume spikes, or lows stepping on mids, the sound is just very full and almost perfect for a larger bedroom or smaller living room, but I might try to tweak the bass to get back a little more of the lows back, or I’ll look at the new Mini Sub as I don’t really need the big bass for my room. Movies Before Tuning were about a 5 out of 10. Movies After Tuning are a solid 8 out of 10 without a subwoofer and rear speakers. Music (Classical Piano or Acoustic) Before Tuning I would give it a 3. Music (Classical Piano or Acoustic) After Tuning I would give it a 7. Music (With Thumping Bass, like Black Eyed Peas) Before Tuning volume was way too erratic. Music (With Thumping Bass) After Tuning is about a 6 due to the lack of any real low end that would take advantage of that (this should improve dramatically with a Subwoofer). If I had to choose for just the sound bar, between this and the Bose 900, it was would be extremely difficult to make that decision, as Bose does sound better for the music straight out of the box, but the 900 lacked the fullness of midtones that the Arc can produce. Of course, I’m purely speaking about using the soundbar as a standalone product and only the sound quality here. VIRTUAL SURROUND The virtual sound from just the bar is only in front and to the side of you, with a little bit at the top. I know most soundbars do not deliver height effects all that well, but after tuning I could hear the rain in movies falling all over the room (notable exception being the rear channel that I do not have). This is an area where the Arc really shines as it is clearly superior to the slightly angled side speakers on the Bose 900. Now if there were one issue I would have with these setups, it would be in a shared home office. If you put any noise dampening plates on the wall around the desk at all, then you might be better off with the Bose as it will not fire directly to the side and it will give you a perfect dead zone to dampen the sounds. I would give this to the Arc for sure. REAL SURROUND This is really about options, as you don’t get real surround sound unless you add the rear channel speakers and this is a real problem for the Bose, as the rear channels just aren’t very good honestly. Whereas the Sonos SL1 Speaker pairs can stand on their own and truly enhance the rear channel experience. This is easily a win for the Sonos. SOUND STAGE / SPACING The sound stage is more than just an atmospheric effect of simulated surround sound; it also includes the separation of the notes and their room to breathe. While the Arc is very good here, it really doesn’t come close to the Bose 900 as that is widely considered the best sound stage of any sound bar. The Arc is very good at this, don’t get me wrong, but you will need to complete the surround and sub setup to even get close to matching the Bose. If there’s one area that Bose did everything right, it is here. BUILD The Bose is a tight package with a glass top, the Arc is long tube made of plastic and metal. I honestly wouldn’t say either is better built, they’re just different and both are very solid products. FORMAT SUPPORT This easily goes to the Arc as Bose Omitted pretty much all of the newer DTS formats. CONNECTIVITY The Bose has more connectivity options, but outside of Bluetooth, the others aren’t really that big of a deal. The downside is that Bluetooth is convenient, but we have all had a text message lower the volume of our music as it alerts us that we have a new message, so the Arc does not have this issue and Wi-Fi allows for more bandwidth and higher bitrate sound. ACCESSORIES You don’t get anything extra with the Arc. Pretty much all you’re going to get is an HDMI Cable and a power cable. With the Bose you get a basic remote control and a headset for tuning the acoustics to match the room. I think the biggest disappointment is the lack of the remote, but the lack of a dedicated device to tune the sound is a real issue as well. APP & SETUP With Bose you connect the 900 up, sit in the middle of the room with the headset on and run the Adaptiq. With the Arc, you must use your phone’s mic and hop around the room like a chimpanzee waiving your arms up and down to tune the acoustics. Yes, the Sonos way works without costing extra money to bundle the headset, but it is very limited by the phone you have, as the Mic in a cheaper or older phone will not match the newer phones and this variation isn’t there with the Bose. MY BIGGEST ISSUE Yes the soundbar has some quirks and overall it is a very good sounding setup, but my biggest issue is that I cannot tell what my volume is on the device as there’s no visual feedback at all and it doesn’t even trigger my TV’s OSD, and I find this to be the most frustrating part of using the soundbar. CONCLUSION Would I recommend this Soundbar? Yes, I would if you’re in a decent sized den, smaller office, or bedroom. If you’re in a home theater the price is a deterrent, as $2000 for the cost of a complete surround system, can get you a better sounding setup with a receiver. If your living room is larger, you can get better with a receiver for sure. However, for most people this will more than meet any of the needs they might have.

I had the second generation Sonos Beam and even though I thought that sound bar was amazing, I decided to splurge and get this bad boy. It changes everything when watching movies and playing video games!!! I have the latest gen Sonos subwoofer and a pair of next generation Sonos Ones to complete the sound stage and it’s an incredible listening experience every single time! Wife hates it, but that’s why she stays in the other part of the house. Besides, I can’t hear her complaining when this Sonos set-up is on and that is peace of mind…….

I had to wait nearly 3 months for my Sonos Arc to arrive, but now that it did I am so happy I paid the price. The ease of set up is brilliant, it took me 10x as long to pull down the old system and wires as it did to set up and calibrate the Arc. I wanted to move to an Atmos system but the layout of my living room is very limiting as are other wireless surround systems, that’s why I bit the bullet on the high priced Sonos Arc. The price seems high compared to other systems but after you hear it it no longer is high priced, it becomes a good value. The build quality is superb, and I mentioned the ease of setup. The sound quality is amazing even in my large room with vaulted ceiling’s. I have a pair of One SL’s for the surrounds, but don’t yet have the sub, which will really make the Arc shine. I highly recommend going with Sonos, I know I’m happy I did.
