Sound quality is great when listening to music, but watching tv dialogue is flat even if you adjust the settings.

To my ears bright sounding . The sound seems held back . The aluminum woofers that Sonos uses makes the sound metallic which may be part of the bright issue . Some songs through the ark made my wife and I emotional . But some songs made my wife and I cringe . We only watched King Kong vs Godzilla with Dolby Digital Plus and I struggled with hearing the dialogue clearly . The bass transitions from the upper frequencies in the sound bar to the lower frequencies in the sub with a lot of Christian bass music I listen to had a odd presentation . On one of the Christian bass songs I listened to it made the sub and I think also the sound bar distort and I was being careful with the volume level . I used the factory sound settings - NO CALIBRATION or Room Correction . I consider my self a audiophile so I believe in a flat EQ & no room correction . If a system does not sound good with a flat EQ & no room correction I always pass .

It's a Sonos Soundbar. What else do you need to know?

Very long soundbar with amazing features. Note that you need a TV with ARC (no toslink connector), and you can only use the best features surround sound features with eARC. You also need an iPhone to use Trueplay. The sound is great, and one thing I did not originally realize is that you can connect it to multipe Subs. Comes ready to attach to the wall.

Our surround sound system finally went off to the big entertainment center in the sky and we went on the hunt for a new one. I did not want one that had an overly complicated app and one that would integrate easily. We were recommended the Sonos arc along with their larger bass unit, not an inexpensive purchase but we tend to buy once and cry once when we can afford to do so. We brought them home and tried to get it set up. The app was making connecting the bass unit difficult and we couldn't get the sound right. There were a lot of speakers all firing off sound, but it was more like a noise than sound as all of them tried to enter the room at the same time. The voices were too low compared to the rest of the sound and when we tried to calibrate it and correct the volume we found the main hurdle we couldn't fix. We do not have an Iphone. Sonos will tell you directly that the only way you can calibrate their system is to have an Iphone, and if you do not have an Iphone just get someone who does to come over and calibrate it for you. Um, no thank you, and we were slightly annoyed that we were not told of this issue at purchase. There is no mention that if you do not have the Iphone you are only going to get about 70% of the speakers functionality and about 50% control. This is not an Iphone versus Samsung debate, this is about purchasing something that you cannot use without that knowledge. Without it, it is a lot of noise and not refined. The speakers actually caused a frequency that when emitted caused pain in my ears, neck and back, with no way to reduce that for us. If you have an Iphone, this might be an amazing system. If you do not, I would recommend Bose, which is what we ended up going back to.
