In the last 8 years I've used soundbars like Bower & Wilkens Panorama 2 (~$2000+ MSRP) and Definitive Technology W Studio Micro + sub (~$800 MSRP) in my house. I thought the W Studio Micro had died (eventually fixed it), so I went ahead and picked up the Arc and Sub Gen 3 in December. Both of these products have since been relegated to other TVs. The Arc + Sub combination is better than I expected and being able to control all the settings with an iPhone or iPad makes it even better. Dolby Atmos content on streaming services and 4K Blurays sounds amazing. The soundbar looks sleek, modern, and fits nicely under my TV. It has been used for TV, movies, and music. The night mode is very useful because it can get extremely loud. Integrating it with the audio system built-in to the rest of the house was a breeze with the purchase of the Sonos Port. I would highly recommend this soundbar!

Amazing sound. The base is strong and I don't feel the need for a sub at this point. Clear voice with the option turned on. the sound with Dolby Atmos is truly wonderful, you feel like your in the theater. The best bar I have ever had.

I started my quest for a soundbar with the Vizio Elevate, thinking that for a bit more $$, I'd get the whole enchilada, with sub and rear speakers. Well, the sub arrived DOA, rendering it and rear speakers unable to play; and the bar by itself didn't impress substantially. I returned it and ordered the Arc. The Arc arrived yesterday, and proved very easy to set up and play. It proved easy to calibrate with my iPhone; and the sound did impress. Another plus, even though it sits at the base of our 2018 LG OLED, the remote still works everything as it should. (The Vizio, sitting in same place, blocked the remote signal.) Another bonus: enabling Alexa allows voice control. I'll evaluate the sound for a while, then decide whether to add the Sonos sub and rear speakers. (I really like the Sonos Beam and sub in our son's home, so I'm inclined to go for it.)

Pretty satisfied with the sound bar, dialogue is much clearer, I have a fairly tall vaulted ceiling, so not sure how effective the upward facing speakers are compared to a typical room. Bass is what you'd expect, will eventually add the Sub and a couple of surround speakers when I find them on sale, as this is very pricy system overall. Setup was very quick and easy with the app.

All I can say is WOW! It was easy to set up out of the box. The sound is AMAZING. I have it hooked up to my Apple TV 4K (Dolby Atmos) and Sony Bravia 9G Master Series. I now want to buy the sub-woofer. This little bar packs a wallop! Don’t miss out on this.

Love my sonos full setup with dual subs and era 300’s with their stands top notch. A lot of mixed reviews but the fact that after trueplay and peter pee’s review for best settings and using an RTA app to adjust the eq based on the room it will be different as well as with sub placement. With the RTA you can achieve a balanced sound and oh man does it sound great, very dynamic and no issues with movies clarity very happy with this purchase overall. Would love to get the ultra eventually

    Sonos Home Theater System

I purchased the Sonos Arc surround system with sub-woofer and 2 rear speakers to replace my old, cheap system I purchased at Target a couple of years ago. I was concerned as the old system sounded pretty good in my opinion, especially for the money. The Sonos system was pricy but the reviews were good and I didn't want wires run allover the house. I couldn't be happier, when I'm not watching TV, my wife and I enjoy music. The Sonos system provide amazing quality and ample volume for enjoyable music anywhere in the house. The Sub-Woofer is great, it fills the entire house with bass you can feel. This is a great product and at some point we plan to add a sub-woofer and speakers to the Man Cave.

Arc worth every penny--Especially since it's SONOS

I have Sonos systems throughout my house-two sonos one speakers in each bedroom, and playbars with sonos satellites and subwoofers in the family room and my music studio. The Arc replaced a a 1st gen. Beam in 16' x 16' Music Studio. At first I thought the space might be too small for the ARC. It wasn't. The difference between the beam and the Arc is astounding. It makes rewatching movies worthwhile. For the first time EVER with Sonos I had a problem getting my satellite Sonos One speakers to connect to the Arc. It's usually a snap. I tried everything and then called Sonos. Would you believe I got connected to a technician within 2 minutes and she patiently worked with me for nearly an hour to get everything working? Who does that? Well, Sonos. Trust me, Sonos is phenomenal for connectivity throughout your home. Play the same music in every room, or play something different in each room. Oh, back to the Arc--yea, it's twice the cost of the Beam 2, but the wow factor is worth the up charge. Check to ensure you have vertical clearance above the bar so you don't interfere with the two up-facing speakers. They actually work. There's a helicopter scene in the first Matrix movie and you can definitely tell that the surround sound has height. You can hear stuff happening overhead--Not exactly like having the actual speakers up there, but enough to notice that you'll never want to go to a soundbar without this feature. Also, I don't know why--maybe it's all the background music they play in today's movies, and actors don't enunciate like stage actors do, but dialogue can get lost. There s a feature on the telephone app that enables you enhance speech. Works like a charm, especially when actors have heavy accents. Anyway, I highly recommend Sonos and the Arc!

    Sonia Arc review

I’ve used that product now for over two months so far I don’t have any major complaints but they are some. -Setup is pretty ease, you just plug and play as long your tv is able to support arc and optical connection. - There is Sonos app that you can Download for control and other features. That gets tricky when you have to deal with setting it up and connecting with Sonos, the good thing is if you have any issues you can get help from Sonos support to walk you through the steps how to configure it. I’m not giving all 6 stars since speaker has some issues that I’m not happy about when you have multiple devices connected to TV using HDMI for some reason sound doesn’t work on the speaker while having both connections attached. I’m assuming this might be related maybe to my TV but I think this is the speaker issue if I disconnect HDMI and reconnect it works or if I power on the second device I get the sound. I will try reach out Sonia support to see what they say. Over all the sound is really good I wish the speak would be louder… : )

Sonos soundbar is amazing! we feel like we are at the movies. We had friends over the other night and she thought the neighbors were playing music. We said no that's our sub woofer. The kids even said what is that? it was the subwoofer. The sonos bar has amazing sound quality. Very happy with our purchase. The sound bar has 11 speakers in it.

It is good - it is not great. The reason I went with this product after months of research was because I felt it would be easy to anyone to use. Setup isn't so bad, but there are some issues; 1) It only connects via wi-fi on 2.4 channel and this is a slight issue with some routers. 2) I have had it about a month, and already had to do a hard reset because the sound for 1 or 2 seconds, goes out and then come right back on. It is very random - it isn't my wifi - it is the unit- Look it up. Updates can cause problems. 3) It is too expensive. The unit sounds great, but for the price - unless you are some very detailed audiophile, it is too pricey. We just have the ARC but I will not likely buy other units. Honestly you can get another brand and walk away with more speakers than just the one sonos.

My husband and I have been waiting to purchase the Sonos Arc due to high price point. Unfortunately, it did not go on sale at all during the holiday season. We purchased it at market price in January and it has made a huge different in our Sonos sound system. Truly unmatched sound quality. Set up was easy. We are happy with our purchase.

Stand alone I definitely get side and ceiling effects in an 23’ W x 18’ H x 9’ H room. With the Era 300s as surrounds and two gen 3 subs it’s as good as your going to get in the soundbar space other than Nakamichi Dragon which has more bass, better overall sound quality and a lot more power. The sound bubble Sonos system creates is second to none however in regards to clarity of sound placement in areas where there are no speakers. This system is truly worth the price tag.

High-quality sound, surprising kick, and impressive surround sound. Only using it for home theater, not much music, but for my small-ish space, the bar does the job of a complete 5.1 system. Plus, set-up and control is really easy.
