It's Excellent but it'll be more blowing mind with 9.1 if Sonos can reach that point or 7.1 wouldn't be bad.

This is a great sounding sound bar but without a subwoofer it sounds thin. I'm sure it sounds great but we're talking $1400 or so and there are lots of options on the market

Absolute worst setup process ever. Took over 4 times to get it to connect via wifi, then it would disconnect and require 4-5 more attempts to reconnect. The sub never connected at all. Meanwhile all my other gear in the same area connects to wifi just fine. The item needs and more wifi sensitivity, or far less sensitivity to provide a customer with a smooth setup experience. Returned.

I wanted to be objective having read the hype. The fact is, a soundbar will never sound as good as separates and even if I took that into account - I was still disappointed. Setup was fairly easy, but being an Android house I was disappointed I couldn't use TruePlay. I finally was able to use someones iPad to try that - and it didn't make much of a difference. The speaker is packaged well, looks great - but sounds like you are listening through a cardboard tube - esp spotify. I really wanted this to work seeing how people rave about it - but unless I had a dud - the sound quality did not justify the price, so it went back.

Hi, and thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are confident that the sound quality issue you were having is based on a tv audio setting. Sometimes tv's don't output the proper audio codec when plugging into the Arc. So you have to change it manually. We're sorry you had a poor audio experience and hope that you'll give us another chance one day. If you do, and have any concerns, please feel free to reach out to us at sonos.com/support for help with your products. john.milton

Arc definitely makes dialogue much clearer for TV shows and movies. I had this for about a week before I decided that I had to have the sub. Arc alone doesn’t cut it, but with the Gen 3 Sub, Arc really sounds great.

The arc lacks true dolby Atmos and no dtx playback. It be good if it multiple hdmi 2.1 passthrough and display window . Sounds ok but doesn't get loud like other soundbars.

Just get either a get sound-bar that matched your tv brand, or receiver with 3 speakers and a sub and it will be better and half the price. App was annoying, and the price is laughable.

I am paring this to a sono sub and 2 player 1s. It is connected to a sony X90CH tv. The sound cuts in a out. I had used a sony sound bar before and it had the same problem. I am starting to think it the the earc problem with the he sony tv. I need to do more troubleshooting to confirm.

I bought the Sonos Arc from BB more than a year ago. I bought it after reading all the stellar reviews, and I liked the idea of not needing a woofer or rear speakers, according to the reviews. It replaced a budget priced Vizio with woofer, With the Vizio, I could hear birds singing in the loft, phones ringing in the next room, and people talking around me. With this Sonos Arc device, the sound is nice, but I can't even tell if I'm getting stereo. My setup is an LG OLED 65" TV, Roku Ultra streaming box and the Sonos Arc. All 3 devices have sound settings. I have tried every permutation of those settings without success. I have also performed the TruePlay two-step 4 or 5 times. I have Googled until I am blue in the face. I keep getting sent to forums, where, I've discovered, questions go to die. The LG has 2 output settings, Bitstream and PCM. I've tried both. I notice Sonos comes here and says be sure to pick the right one, but never states what the correct setting should be. When watching a Dolby Atmos movie, e.g. 'Dune' on HBOMax, I must turn up the volume in order to hear the dialog. Then, the special effects and music will blast me out of the room. To avoid that, I need to turn down the volume and turn on the subtitles. That's what I've been reduced to. And, of course, there is no soundstage whatsoever, and certainly nothing bouncing off the ceiling. The only thing I have learned from all the Googling I've done, is I am not the only one having these problems. I suppose there is some comfort in that.
