Hi, and thank you for taking the time to review our product. We would love it if you posted another review of the Arc once you've had time to use it, as your review seems to be more of a disappointment with Best Buy's shipping process and not the product itself. We look forward to hearing from you when you've had time to enjoy Arc! john.milton

    Sonos Sound Bar and Subwoofer

I have owned this sound bar for about 2 months now. Here is my skinny on it: I am a rocker from the 70’s but I do like to watch some movies. I enjoy good sound. My wife wouldn’t let me put my tower infinity floor speakers in her Martha Stewart living room so a sound bar was my only choice. I got the white one which goes with her LR. The Sonos sound bar was easy to set up and the app works great on my ipad. It sounds reasonably good for music and is compatible with Apple Music. It is also compatible with Dolby Atmos when I upgrade my tv. It sounds very good to me for movies but I am not a surround sound audiophile guy. While it is not perfect for either sound wise, it gets the job done! I will say, be prepared to buy the subwoofer which is another $700. It definitely needed it for both movies and music in my opinion and was very sterile sounding without it.

Great sound, using Sonos app is a must thoug

Sonos - Arc 5.0.2 Channel Smart Soundbar with Dolby Atmos is our first Sonos product purchase. Initially, we were extremely disappointed it came without a remote. Plus, we initially ignored using the Sonos smartphone app because we thought we had to pay a monthky subscription. We were wrong! Once we finally setup using the Sonos app drastically improved the room sound quality. Plus, the annoying blinking green light stopped. The blinking green light drove me nuts!! Once setup properly, the device light is faint white and your able to opt out of device light completely. And your able to control by the physical remote or the Sonos app. No more asking the remote gate keeper to turn the volume up or down. The soundbar sound quality is powerful so we are very pleased with our purchase.

Great sound bar. Has been trouble free with high quality sound and easily expandable. Added a subwoofer and amp to add in wired ceiling speakers for a surround sound experience.

Been waiting a while for this to go on sell, and was able to snag it on the Black Friday deal. it is a great sound bar, a little larger then I thought it would be, but wow the sound is great! had a few issues with it cutting out, but after the last up date it appears to have corrected the issue! can't wait to get the Base unit & then a couple of rear speakers to complete the system, it is a little pricey but money well spent.

Only because the audio is not in-synch with the video so how do we fix this? I cannot assign stars/review until then.

Great Soundbar with Great Sound and Features

I had decided to get a new soundbar and narrowed my selections to Bose or Sonos so I picked up one of each. I really like Bose products and love how clear, crisp and rich they sound. I definitely had a bias toward Bose and fully expected to return the Sonos. One other requirement of mine was to consolidate remotes into the most simple, reliable configuration so that my wife (who is not a fan of technology can easily use the TV. After trying them both out, I did find the Bose to be more clear and crisp but the bass was a little muddy (I had the subwoofer connected). I'm not sure how to describe it except that it came through but it didn't really hit me on big thuds. The remote that came with the Bose is big with a lot of options and cool looking features. That's kind of where it stops though. It lights up the buttons for the mode that it's in but it doesn't stay on for very long and I found myself constantly shaking the thing to wake it up. There were way too many buttons for my wife to sort through and there was no way to simplify it. I tried pairing my Apple TV remote to the soundbar and got it to work, but when I shut the system off I'd have to go into the Apple TV settings to get it to connect to the Bose soundbar. Not an acceptable solution. Sonos on the other hand had a rich full sound with fantastic bass (external subwoofer connected). They don't provide a remote control but an app for your smart phone. I and use the Apple TV remote to control everything (turn on/off and volume), the sound is clear and full and the bass will crush my lungs! I added surround speakers and it sounds amazing. One of my concern with Sonos is that it is totally app driven. If they stop supporting the app for the products that I've purchased, I'll not be able to adjust anything. Bose has a great track record when it comes to support. Sonos had to have a huge user backlash to get them to support what they considered legacy products. Ultimately two things drove to Sonos: 1) clear and deep, rumbling bass. 2) simple remote control through compatibility with Apple TV remote.

Best soundbar in the market by far

My Lovely wife bought me the Arc as a gift for our anniversary. This soundbar is like no other soundbars out there. The sounds is extraordinary and you can feel it filling the room from all directions. Even with the normal 2.0 stereo it sounds great, let alone the 5.1 or dolby atmos contents. And it looks very luxuries as well and most importantly it's very easy to setup and tune using trueplay on the sonos app on iphone/ ipad.

The Sonos Arc is not a cheap soundbar but the sound quality is excellent. It is simple to install and only requires an app on your phone to complete the setup. Adapts to other remotes easily. I'm using it a great room with twelve foot ceilings and I'm impress with the sound it delivers.

    Simplify Your Life

With a baby on the way, I was looking for a way to get rid of the cabinet and nest of wires I had with my 5.1 AV system. After a bit of research, I purchased this on "pre order". A year ago, I dumped my cable and went with HULU via Apple TV. So my setup is pretty simple. The box it came in was pretty cool... reminded me of unboxing an apple product. My 2014 TV had an ARC port and "setup" was super simple... actually too simple. It made me feel like "that's it.. that can't be it?" Yes, it was that simple. The sound is pretty amazing... I don't have any of the other speakers or sub this pairs with, but it is nice to know I could whenever I want. What the biggest surprise was, my standard TV remote now operates my Apple TV. Using an Apple TV remote can be difficult, but it is too small and always getting lost... and there is no way to "power on". Now, my regular TV remote powers on my apple TV. So one remote now runs my TV, the SONOS and my Apple TV... oh... and it just happened.. there was no configuration. Two MINOR complaints... 1, the HDMI cable that came with the box was 2 feet shorter than I needed, so I had to buy a longer one. 2, When using Alexa, I can turn off my TV, but it doesn't turn it on... Not sure if I have it configured wrong, if my TV is too old for that kind of functionality or if Alexa even does that. Yes, you want this.
