    Sonos--solid performing audio equipment

I have been a Sonos customer almost since the product line was launched so I do have a bias that Sonos makes amazing speaker systems. The Arc is no exception. With its eleven drivers, the soundbar sounds excellent by itself, and even better when paired with rear speakers and a sub woofer. The sound is full, fills the room and enhances television and movies very well for many sized rooms. Sonos makes setup of any of its products easy and what separates Sonos from competition is each product is how amazing a whole house sounds when multiple Sonos products can sync together to play music in any and all rooms you have a speaker placed. Walking from room to room, you hear the same music played perfectly sync'ed. You can play different music too and with Alexa integration we just ask for what we want to hear and we don't even have to use our smart phones to control our speakers. One point that isn't clarified enough in my opinion is the Sonos Arc does play Dolby Atmos from standard HDMI ARC too if the TV presents it via internal streaming players or simply get a Chromecast. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney + apps do have content with Atmos. The added nuances to movies are easily noticed. Dolby and Sonos go together amazingly. Directions and many online videos say the TV must support eARC (enhanced audio reverse channel) but my Vizio quantum dot TV presents Atmos just fine though the HDMI ARC port. Good luck, these speakers are expensive but just speaking for my experience when I upgrade I find the build quality superb. I have given away Play 3s, Play 5s, playbars, to my friends and family as they never break or need repair. The quality exceeds my expectation. Everyone hears music and sound a little differently so I appreciate Bose, Harmon Kardon, Klipsch, Polk Audio and other great sounding speakers as well. Many will find it hard to distinguish Sonos above their favorites and I agree. To me, the audio production is on par with any if not above higher end speakers and what places sonos over the edge for me is it's unique ability to interoperate with all Sonos products together so you can build a whole home experience from room to room. I am not compensated in any way from Sonos, just true experience. I would like the costs to be 25 to 50% less personally but the investment has been worth it for the years I have experienced with mine.

I wanted to simplify my life and replace my older 5.1 speaker set and Yamaha receiver. First thing I noticed, connecting my Xbox directly to the TV, the picture! I can’t believe the receiver was causing so much of an issue with the video signal. Anyway, This sound bar is great, you’ll never get the full affect of the surround sound with just the bar, but it’s pretty close. One wire to hook up and download the app you’re done. Doesn’t get much easier than that! Everything just works!

From the minute I unpacked it I was excited to see what this unit (it's a beast!) could deliver.... Easy to install, really straight forward instructions. Once I had it hooked up to the TV, I got to wave my phone around while the speaker tuned itself to my room, all the while getting giddy as this thing beeped and bonged at me.... How good could it be? PERFECT!... A month in and I'm yet to find a fault, it's great with sport, movies, TV shows and music. I've marveled at how it's never been "too loud" that's how sweet the quality is!

After too long of a wait (2months after pre-order), I had to instead purchase it directly on-line to get it sooner. That said, it was easy to install and connect. Works flawlessly. Sound is crystal clear and with ATMOS sound, the immersive sound is great for watching movies. Slightly let down by the overall volume of it, as it isn't as loud playing music or as loud as other sound bars. While the quality and clarity is better, I wish it was just a bit louder. I think I'm going to add on some Sonos 1's for surround sound and may think about adding the subwoofer to see if that does the trick.

This soundbar sounds really good without a sub. There is a decent amount of bass but nothing to right home about but better than most stand alone soundbars. Haven't had any disconnect issues or voice delays. The price is what may be the problem because in my opinion its not worth the money when you add the whole system which puts you at around $2000 but when you hear it all together it sounds great but for the money you can build a nice home theater but if you want just the soundbar (which will not be enough) and space is limited this is the best I have heard without a sub...

This is by far the best purchase I’ve made in awhile! This soundbar is the most amazing sound bar I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned quite a few! It has great quality crisp sound and bass and it is a perfect match with my new sony A8H oled tv! I paired the Sonos arc with the Sonos gen 3 sub and let me tell you it is a awesome experience to watch movies and tv with this set up! The arc alone is great but the arc with the gen 3 sub is amazing! The quality in sound blows my mind! It is pricey but this is one item that I can honestly say you get what you pay for!

Amazing sound but sometimes it is a real pain to keep connected. Occasionally I will turn on the tv and the soundbar does nothing. So I have to spend time reconnecting it. Once I even had to remove and reinstall it through the app. Talk about a buzzkill. Need to do better on that front Sonos. Might still be the best option but far from perfect.

I upgraded from a Sonos Beam, and hands down, the Arc blows the Beam away! I used the Beam for several years and really loved it, but I honestly can't believe how much richer the sound is from the Arc, not to mention the Dolby Atmos! There's not as much content available as I'd like, but it does sound amazing with and without Atmos. Well worth the price to upgrade!!

I have enjoyed the Sonos experience. The app is not great. If you can get passed the app the arc it self is worth the money. It fills the room with crystal clear sound, for both music and normal tv viewing. I gave the ease of use a 1-star for the app, if it was fixed and worked it would have been a 5-star review.

Sonos Arc is an impressive soundbar that delivers dynamic sound and a cinematic experience. With its Dolby Atmos support, it’s equally great for movies and music. While lacking some features like bluetooth connectivity, it is a solid choice for enhancing your home entertainment system .

This thing is a total game changer. I previously worked as an audio engineer for 7 years… needless to say I’m a bit particular about sound in general. The Sonos Arc brings clarity unlike anything I’ve heard in a home entertainment system. Because I’m an audio snob, we added the Sonos Subwoofer to really round out the low end, however, the Arc alone has solid low end for a small room (or a listener who is not concerned with booming low end). All in all, this is one of my favorite purchases and upgrades to our living room.

I ordered this on 8/24 and received it 9/18. It took a while but I finally got it. $800 isn't chump change but to get a soundbar of this quality at this price, its a great value assuming your budget can handle it. This competes with high end soundbars. The sound took me some time to get right. You really want to get yourself an iPhone (whether its yours or a buddies), and setup Truplay. It does make a difference. You'll be waving your phone around the room which looks a little funny but the results are good. There's limited EQ adjustment, you only get to adjust Bass and Treble. There is no Mid or in between frequency adjustments. The bass on the soundbar itself is just adequate. Not room thumping. Definitely an improvement over typical TV speakers. I have an LG CX OLED which has pretty decent sound by itself but this soundbar is a clear upgrade. If you're kind of a bass head, not even, if you want to really feel your sound, then you'll want to do something about it. Your options are limited to the Sonos ecosystem which gets expensive. $700 for a sub was difficult to part with. I ended up doing it but another option is to get two Play 5 speakers (which would be about $800-1000) and use them as rear surrounds without a sub. Believe it or not, the Play 5's have very good bass performance and can work just about as good without the dedicated sub. Of course, I didn't have that foresight and I bought the Arc first. Then the Sub. Then a pair of Ikea Symfonicks ($99ea + $20ea for the wall mount, which also make nice shelves at the same time). All in thats about $1740, If I had just got the Arc with 2 Play 5's, I could have been all in at $1600 since you can find the Play 5's at a slight discount. You can add the sub later for serious room thumping sound. Another thing to consider is the size of the Play 5 speakers and whether you want two speakers of that size behind you. But all the configuration options is part of the beauty of the Sonos system. You don't have to get everything all at once. You can add as you go along. Also the popularity of the Sonos keeps the resale value in the used market pretty high. Try that with the high end LG or Samsung soundbars. I do recommend getting the rear surrounds before the Sub no matter which rear surrounds speakers you decide to get. The rear surrounds make a bigger difference to me then the extra bass with the sub. Bottom line: if you're looking at an Atmos soundbar at this price range, I think you'll be happy with the product. I'm very happy with it.
