Am I sure it's worth the price? No, I'm not sure. But, It was easy to setup, not a lot of wires, and it looks cool. Bigger than I thought though. I would say that sonos can do a lot with wireless speaker stuff, but I kind of feel with google assistant or/and amazon echo it seems like the sonos tools aren't as useful. The auto tuning app thing, I think "Trueplay", worked pretty good. It did make a difference. I did feel a little silly waving my ipad around the room. I went from a crappy $150 soundbar to this and from 20' away across the room, voice is clear and easy to hear. For my old soundbar I would need to raise the volume high and still read the subtitles. The sound is crisp and I don't have to keep switching between modes I don't understand. So, I can't say that I can compare to other good soundbars because mine was not good, but it has made a huge difference for me.

Excellent weight and design. Sound great on its own, but when I added the sub... wow. The set-up process is pretty simple. Make sure your TV has EARC to get the best out of it, but I think a standard ARC might be okay too. The app is pretty easy to use as well.

I must state that my expectations were high when purchasing the Arc, because I was looking to replace a seven thousand dollar full on 5.1 system that I've owned for several years. I was growing tired of my old system because of the clutter, cables, wires and dust that they all collected. I auditioned the Samsung Q80R Soundbar initially and it was quite good with bass and spatial awareness, but many details were lost in a heavy movie soundtrack. It developed several technical issues and I returned it. I had read so many good reviews about Sonos, so I backordered the Arc. I waited several weeks and was very excited when I received the notification that it had arrived. When I picked it up in the store, I also purchased 2 SL One's and a Gen 3 Sub. I rushed home to hook it up to my Samsung 75 inch TV with EARC, and was blown away with how intuitive the Sonos S2 App was with setting everything up. I must state that I don't have the ideal room for Atmos as it has vaulted ceilings and is an open floorplan to the kitchen. I fired up the system with a 4K blu ray with Dolby Atmos and the following was my experience. I was blown away with the small details that emanated from the Arc and the SL One's. The Sub was a little underwhelming, but I attributed that to the open floorplan and the fact that I had became accustomed to a 2,000 watt 18 inch Velodyne Subwoofer. I was also underwhelmed by a lack of height from the Arc's upfiring drivers, but I never had any faith in the reviews where people said they heard height effects from 2 reflecting drivers. But where the beauty was revealed in this system was the level of immersion between the Arc and the SL One's. I watched about 20 4K blu ray's with Atmos over the course of a week and never experienced any height effects whatsoever. When I learned that Sonos had issued a firmware update that allowed the use of dual subs, I rushed to my local Best Buy and purchased another Gen 3 Sub. Now the puzzle started to come together. The bass became so tactile, almost as much as I had become accustomed to with my Velodyne. When I realized that I had made the right decision was when watching John Wick in Atmos and in the opening funeral scene where it was raining, I actually felt as if the rain was showering from the ceiling. I immediately popped in my blu ray of the Invisible Man in Atmos and fast forwarded to the rain scenes and was even more blown away. It literally sounded like I was in the middle of a thunderstorm in my living room. The only thing I could deduce from these experiences was that Atmos really shined with atmospheric sounds, but whatever the reason I was finally 100 percent satisfied. I had actually put together a wireless system with insanely tactile bass, an immersive experience with the SL One's and the icing on the cake was the occasional dramatic height effects. The main drawback is that I had over 2,500 dollars invested in this system. Could I have put together a better traditional system for less money, absolutely! But would it have been as simplistic with no cables, absolutely not! After it is all said and done, my old 5.1 system has already been partially sold on Craigslist. Sorry for the long winded review, but I wanted everyone to be able to read an honest opinion on the Sonos Ecosystem to make an informed buying decision.

Sonos has the set up process nailed down tight! So easy to get great sound right out of the box. Power and an (included) HDMI cable is all it took. So happy with the crisp and detailed highs and mids. Amazing bass and incredible “surround” element from just one bar. We have had other major name brands (Both Bose and Sony) and NEVER experienced sound quality amd emmersion like the Sonos ARC. Highly recommend this product. Well worth the up-spend.

Arc sounds great and was easy to setup just like all Sonos products. I used the latest HDMI cord, hdmi 3.1, although most hdmi wires will work fine, and connected it to my hdmi Arc on my Samsung TV. Although not Atmos compatible, the tv settings will push through a modified atmos signal that still sounds amazing. There is no audio delay like my playbar which was installed using an optical cable. Go HDMI for proper audio signal. Otherwise it was a nice upgrade from playbar and even has rich sounding lows which surprised me. It’s pricey but the packaging was fancy and the build quality is just perfect. Looks great under my tv.

I have the Yamaha z11 ascend speakers. The dual 12-in SVS woofer and 11.2 home theater set up in the family room. It sounds good, but the z11 does not do Dolby Atmos I needed a sound bar for the bedroom. I initially bought the Sony HT 5000 with the 200 watt sub and the SR. 5s for the surrounds and I was severely disappointed in Sony and I am a Sony fanboy. It sounded muddy and it definitely didn't sound like it was worth $1,500. I bought the arc from Sonos with the gen 3 subs on the ERA 100s and I was blown away. It sounds so much better than my 10,000 home theater in terms of the surrounds on the 3D immersion I was skeptical that the sound bar would sound as a good as it does in the bedroom. I am so impressed that I'm thinking about selling my home theater and just putting another sonos arc Make sure you get the gen 3 subs. They're amazing and they sound bar allows to subs to be connected. The only downfall of this particular sound bar is its pricey for the entire setup and you can only have two surrounds. Therefore, if you have a large living room, I'm questioning whether this would be enough. My living room is about 6,000 ft² with an average of 9 ft heights ceiling. The setup was easy but I did watch a setup video. It's on YouTube. It's a person that talks in great detail on how to set up your sonyes surrounds you first have to pair them and then to set up a home theater you have to break up the pair and redo the setup. It's odd they sent us app is easy to use and they found my surrounds easily. The subwoofer was a little bit more challenging because I am evidently cannot read. You have to swipe the phone on the blue light of the blinking light on the sub for it to connect so that took a minute to connect but eventually was able to do it and I've never been happier. I'm simply always going into the bedroom to watch cinnamon now because it sounds so much better than my home theater set up in the family room

See eArc adapter suggestion at end of review. Also, ARC is best designed for TVs 55 inches and over. I purchased the Arc to go along with an LG OLED CX, an Apple 4K TV and the Sony UBP X700 4K UHD blu ray player with Dolby Atmos (it has been updated to support Atmos). First, the main difference between the Sonos Arc and Beam is that Dolby Atmos is compatible on the Arc. Does the Arc have good sound without Atmos? Yes it does. Would I pay $800 for this soundbar if I could not use the Atmos feature? No. It’s just not THAT much better for the money than many other soundbars once you remove Atmos. Why wouldn’t you be able to play Atmos with this soundbar? Because you need every link in the chain to support it. If you are unable to play Atmos on the Arc because you don’t have some of the components you need (as described below), go to your local BB and compare other soundbars before you invest. So what do you need? The Arc will play Atmos Tru Hd (uncompressed audio, the very best) with any 4k blu ray player that is Atmos compatible and assuming you have a 4k UHD disk that is also Atmos compatible (Xbox and PS5 will support Atmos TruHd with UHD Atmos blu ray disks, but not with games or streaming). UHD disks are the only way to get Atmos TruHd at the moment. The Arc will also play Atmos DD+ (Dolby Digital Plus) which is the slightly more compressed audio available from most streaming services. For this you will need either an Atmos streamer like Apple TV 4K, Roku Ultra or NVIDIA Pro. You will also need to be sure you are subscribed to a 4k service if needed (for example, Netflix premium service) and that the show you are viewing is broadcasting in Atmos. You can always check the Sonos App under “now playing” or within the app to see what audio you are receiving (it will say Atmos or 2.0 or 5.1, and switches instantly). Arc vs eArc. If you have a tv with an hdmi “Arc” port, you will be able to receive the popular Atmos DD+ version. You will not be able to receive Atmos TruHd. Only TVs with an eArc hdmi port (my lg Oled cx does have one), will allow you to get TruHd from your Atmos blu ray player when playing 4k UHD Atmos compatible disks. If your tv does not have an HDMI Arc or eArc port, then you can connect the Sonos to an optical port. NOT RECOMMENDED! Namely, because the optical does not support Atmos TruHd or DD+ AT ALL. Look at a cheaper soundbar - there are lots of good ones. I will say the eArc made set up of the Sonos Arc a breeze. I was good to go in under five minutes, including the Sonos update. A few tips. The Arc integrated seamlessly with my other Sonos components. Plays music beautifully. For most TVs, you will not see a volume indicator for the Arc. You can see an indicator in the app if you wish. You will see a plus/minus sign on your screen instead. Although I miss the indicator, it is simpler for me to use my remote over the app. Your remotes should automatically link with the Arc. If they don’t, you can go into the Sonos App and add them easily. For those with the LG Cx models (and many LG OLEDs), the Arc will cover the IR button in front if your tv is located on a stand and not mounted. As a tip from a friend, I got a black floating shelf from Home Depot and my tv sits on this to avoid IR issues. Looks like it came with the tv. Silly tip, but I looked everywhere for one that would work and look good - the size is 2x42, perfect. Many people have been frustrated with the fact that when they want to use Bluetooth headphones on the tv with the Arc so as to not disturb others, their headphones connect for a moment and then default back to the Arc. There is a simple solution. On LG TVs, use the magic remote and stay “turn simplink off” (this is the hdmi cec - consumer electronics control). You can also do it manually under “devices” and “connection settings”. Simplink links your devices but all will work perfectly fine when off. When the tv turns on again (mine at least) it will be back on and Arc plays perfectly. For most other brands, find out how to turn off your hdmi cec (or what your manufacturer may call it). This will activate your TVs internal speaker and Bluetooth speakers will work! You will need to reactivate simplink or your manufacture’s cec if you intend to use Alexa or Google Assistant. Finally, if using Apple TV 4K, go into “settings”, “audio”and be sure Atmos is checked. If it is greyed out, simply turn off “change format” right above it. When I did this I had no trouble playing all apps in Atmos when available. Use Atmos certified cables, I don’t care if people tell you it doesn’t matter, especially with Apple TV 4K. There have been MANY compatibility issues with the Apple TV 4K. Apple has one on their website and it is also offered by Amazon. It is a Belkin product, 2.1 cable for about $35. Pricey, but I have never had a compatibility issue with any of my Apple TVs 4K. At least make sure your cable has “Dolby Atmos Certified” actually written on it. FINALLY, after all this, I still had an issue receiving Dolby Atmos true HD when watching a Dolby blu ray. On my LG OLED, and after calling SONOS, I discovered that in “settings”, “audio”, the eArc button was toggled off even though I had a cable connected to it. Be sure your eArc is toggled “on” in settings, because the default is “off” for some crazy reason, at least with LG. Note: the Sonos ARC cannot be connected to a receiver as it does not have a traditional HDMI port to accept an output from a receiver. There is a new eArc adapter available which allows for True HD from any external HDMI source. Have not tried it, but heard it works. Pricey at $199, but great if you want eArc and to keep your older tv. https://www.hdfury.com/product/4k-arcana-18gbps/ Enjoy your ARC!

I absolutely LOVE the Sonos Arc. I am on their mailing list from a Sonos One I also purchased. When I saw the email about this coming out I was really excited. When it finally came out, I went to Best Buy as soon as possible to see the demo unit. It sounded just as amazing as I had hoped. Immediately started putting away some money to buy one. When I got one at my house, it far surpassed my expectations. This soundbar produces very clear, crisp audio that sounds like it is coming from multiple speakers. The bass produced by the soundbar alone is pretty incredible. I don't have the sub yet, but you could easily get by without it. The soundbar can't produce the very low lows well, however these frequencies are truly meant for a dedicated Sub. Soon after getting this soundbar I bought a second Sonos One for the rear channels. This made an amazing soundbar even better. I can't wait to get the sub to round out the system. I am a firm believer in that you get what you pay for. This is a premium soundbar that comes with a premium price tag. I think it is worth every penny and for those who can't afford a dedicated home theater room and sound system, this is an amazing option! It works for my space and I have no regrets in the purchase. If you are on the fence, I say make the purchase.

Replaced an old LG system with the Sonos Arc and 2 Play:1's that we had. The packaging is top-notch, and the feel of the Arc is pure quality. I'm a sucker for good design, and I coupled this with the Arc wall mount to get an outstanding looking and sounding system. In my small living room (16x10) this is perfect. I'm debating adding the sub, but I'm sure that will round out the system and add the super lows I'm missing. The sound quality of movies and music is superb. Since then we've added a Move, and additional Sonos One's in other rooms. If you're looking for an easy setup with spectacular sound, this is the way to go. This is the first system to rival my old wired Klipsch system.

Design - Sound - SOUND. So it's been about 3 weeks since I purchased the system. Needless to say, It works for me better than I expected it to. As it took a while to fine tune the system to where I finally think that it's best sounding and in the best position in the room. I am very happy with the purchase. The software does need some tweaking, If you can get past that and live with it until they fix the glitches. Expand on the program and just a little more user friendly. The system itself drowns out the software problem, maybe it'sjust me. BUT.... It's all the the sound, which is stunning. I didn't buy the sub woofer ( my mistake, I think ), probably don't need it because the bass it great out of the era 300 speakers. However... I can just imagine how it will sound when I do purchase it.

I'm very happy with this soundbar. Easy to setup with the app. Incredible sound quality. Has really nice lows, to the point where I don't even need a subwoofer to get the full sound I want. My only minor gripe is its size. My tv is not wall mounted, so the soundbar blocks a small portion of the bottom of my tv screen on the stand, more screen than my previous lower quality soundbar from LG, but it's not the end of the world. Pairs very nicely with the Sonos Ones for surround sound. Just a great product. Make me smile to utilize Dolby Atmos and turn up the volume a bit.

The Sonos Arc 5.0.2 delivers clear dialogue, a wide soundstage, and an immersive Dolby Atmos experience, especially for movies and TV. Sound quality is excellent for a single soundbar, with balanced mids and solid bass. It also works seamlessly with other Sonos products; setup is easy, syncing is smooth, and the ecosystem integration is a big plus. Overall, it’s a premium, reliable soundbar that’s well worth it, especially if you already use Sonos.

Upgraded from a Samsung Q90r sound bar and was worried it was a potential downgrade as this is a 5.1 when the Samsung is a 7.1 but I paired my arc with a gen 3 sub and two Sonos fives as my rears and holy cow I’m absolutely blown away! Samsung who? The sound that these components put out bare absolutely incredible. The amount of bass. 10/10 would recommend. The ease of setting up everything in the app is insanely simple and fast. This is an incredible system and can’t wait for future products as I can confidently say I’ll be a Sonos guy for life.

Elegant design excellent packaging. Amazing sound quality. Easy to set up. Integration with Spotify and Google voice assistant is seamless. Great clarity in the sound. Has the effect of an All in one speaker, so don't see myself getting any add ons. Value for money. Only Cons I can this of, is that it took forever for me to receive. The wait times for the arc is crazy. I feel like the power cord is a little flimsy and loose. Gets disconnected in the TV console is moved. Overall great purchase and no regrets!!

An excellent sound bar. Sound quality is excellent. It has above average bass, but I do miss the low frequency (it seemed a bit over priced at the time) speaker. Sound bar itself though has excellent presence, accuracy and clarity. Connectivity is with Sony TV is no problem, but hard to connect with smart phone etc. 4 stars for software, 5 for device sound quality.

Probably the best all around sound bar out there right now. The designed is beautiful and modern. Only dig is that it sits a little higher than I'd like as it's blocking about an inch or so of the bottom of my LG C2. The soundstage on this thing is incredible. I can feel how immersive my music was when I turned this thing on. It's not like a typical speaker where you hear sound coming straight at you. It feels like you are enveloped right in the center with sound coming all around you. I then paired the One SL's to create a surround experience and it just made everything better. Now when watching a movie, you can hear sounds coming from behind you and it's even better than being in the theatre when paired with the Sub Gen 3's. This created an environment I've never experienced at home before. Sound was coming off really clear and crisp from the Arc. The 2 One SL's created a fantastic surround experience and the Sub really hit that low end nicely. Not distortion whatsoever. Great thing about this system is that you can build on it over time if you don't have the funds to purchase the set all at once. The Arc itself sounded great and had a good amount of base. Musically, the Arc is all you need to enjoy a real immersive sound. But for movies, I would recommend getting the SL's and Sub.

Sonos arc everyone says it the best the greatest it’s not. Let’s be clear it sounds ok by itself. You definitely need the sub 100% the surrounds help out. It sounds great for a 3.1.2 system. You can 100% feel the lack of another set of up firing speakers when watching atmos content. All content sounds good whether it be music of tv content. But you need the sub to be more immersed in it. The room calibration feature helps out dramatically. The app now has a feature to raise the level of the up firing speakers. Put together it sounds good don’t expect much if you know anything about a good system. My thoughts alone the arc sucks lacks bass and power. With the sub you gain notable strong bass and a bit more power because you no longer use 2 of the arc speakers for bass. They’re now used as surrounds. Good but expensive. Easy setup. Sonos needs surrounds with up firing speakers. Final thoughts if it’s for a small room or bedroom maybe you can do without a a sub. Else you need the sub.

Is it a bit pricey.... YES. However you get what you pay for unlike other companies that charge you for their name. Best sound quality by far. Setup was easy. Mounting to the wall was easy. Just make sure you take your time and measure properly. My only complaint, it only has one input for hdmi. Not a deal breaker but would have been nice to have an RCA input for older equipment. It sounds great by itself but I also recommend the subwoofer for that total full sound quality.
