Been wanting a Sonos for a long time and finally took the plunge. Excellent sound. Much better than my old sound bar. Really fills the room. I added the subwoofer which I would highly recommend. It really adds a lot. You can find cheaper soundbars but after having this one it's worth it to get a Sonos.

The cost is pretty steep comoared to others, but compared to samsung amd a JBL I had, this one does very well to optimize sounds from highs to lows. Even without the sub I bought with it, running solo the bass is nice enough to get a good sound for movies without having the sub if iffy on paying 4-700 for one. Has the app to also use as a control which gives a nightime mode which comes in handy for night use. Only downfall I dont care for is it has to be connected to wif to use/work. Needed for the app, but if it doesnt connect to wifi, then I dont get connection. Too many devices to me to add another on my wifi. Overall though for the price, sounds very good, but if not willing to pay for it, then a smaller low end one would be sufficient. I really enjoy this for gaming also, I was iffy to pay this much at first, but after 2 months, im ok with it now.

I bought the Beam and then found out that the Arc would be released shortly. I returned the Beam, which was fantastic, and opted for the Arc since it is brand new tech. The sound is fantastic, I just have the Arc set up without any speakers or sub. I sold my Polk Audio 5.1 speaker set up to save space. Currently in an apartment with small to medium size living room and the sound from the Arc fills the entire space. Bass shakes the floor but seems clean and not over powering. Voices are loud and clear and center channel content is easy for me to hear, which was one of my concerns about going with a sound bar. Set up is a breeze using an iPhone. I have Spotify, Apple Music, Sirius XM, and Audible all connected to the Arc through the app. You can also play YouTube and other media from your phone and output sound through the Arc. My TV is only HDMI ARC and not e-ARC, but this sound bar is fairly future proof with its e-ARC support. I no longer have any need for a large, bulky speaker system, even when we move into a larger home. This is the perfect audio solution for me. I don't think I'll need the sub but it is simple to add other Sonos speakers to this if need be. Highly recommend the Arc!

I went back and forth with deciding to buy an av reciever and speakers vs going with a sonos set up. I figured since i was in a 1800sq ft apt. I would get the spund bar. It is amazing deep rich base, clear surround sound and best of all crystal clear voices :) i dont have the sub or tbe surround speakers. Ill just add them as i expand. Easy set up, no cords. Sadly my TV does not support atmos so ill have to wait untill i get a new TV for that but. Im very content with dolby digital plus. Expensive yes. Worth it yes!

This thing is amazing. The bass, sound clarity, and surround sound abilities are pretty impressive. It’s also extremely easy to set up and uses hardly any wires. Especially if you have a larger tv (65+) this will fit perfectly below it. No complaints other than if you are an apartment dweller, your neighbors might not be too happy when you’re watching movies.

I'm an absolute fan of Sonos products after purchasing the Arc Soundbar. It's simply outstanding. The sound from the bar is as good or better (better actually) than my previous Bose Acoustimass 5 speaker speaker system. It's pretty incredible. It was my first Sonos product purchase and I couldn't be happier with the sound, the style and its overall performance. It looks fantastic with my new Sony 77" OLED. They work perfectly together. This is something that I can honestly recommend to anyone that wants better, cinematic sound and ease of use. It was far easier to install and operate than the my previous Bose system. What I also love is that you can control the volume by voice command instead of reaching for the remote constantly. 10 out of 10 all day.

Best TV soundbar with some tips

Pros: - Dolby Atmos-compatible audio - Directional tweeters, strong standalone bass - Voice assistant support - Adapt to your room - Setting controls through app - Minimalist design (looks great) Cons: - Expensive - Set up can be confusing - Needs internet connection to work MPORTANT TIPS FOR SETUP: 1. The Sonos Arc only works with 2.4GHz range so you will need to set your modem/Wi-Fi router to have two bands (2.4 and 5 GHz). I would recommend connecting the Arc with an ethernet cable and connecting the other Sonos speakers wirelessly through Wi-Fi. When you connect the Arc with an ethernet cable, it creates a dedicated wireless network specifically for your Sonos system, which is better for high-end audio streaming and less Wi-Fi interference. 2. Make sure your TV has eARC. This allows the system to get the best audio. 3. Have your phone ready. You need it to set this up. 4. If you are watching through your TV, the Sonos Arc should automatically play Dolby and DD+. You can check it to make sure through your phone. However, if you are connecting the Sonos Arc to your computer, then you will need to get the Dolby Access app through Windows 10 app store.

This sound bar is amazing and I find myself using it not just for movies and shows, but listing to music and watching videos. The audio is perfect and the easy of use with minimal wires makes this in my opinion the best soundbar on the market you can get, not to mention you can pair it up with other Sonos products to really get that move theater feel, will definitely be purchasing more Sonos products in the future

Coming from a run of the mill sound bar to using the Sonos arc and coupling it with a sub and surrounds has been a game changer for movie nights and sports alike. Music with or without spatial audio is amazing, and movies in Atmos are fantastic! Would highly recommend this, and have highly recommended this system, to my friends.

Here is a brief description of my current set up: installed in a finished basement with a Sonos Sub and Arc on a non-eARC TV with an Orei audio extractor (HDA-934). I started off with the Beam Gen 1 which was fantastic. But now that my library has grown to include a lot of Dolby Atmos and 7.1 content I thought I would upgrade to a bigger bar with atmos capability. Something of note, if you have the sub and you’re not running running audio higher than 5.1, there is little perceptable difference between the Beam Gen 1 and the Arc. But once you step up Atmos and 7.1, the audio does drastically improve which creates a more immersive audio experience. I also noticed the the bass transitioned to what felt like wall rattling performance. Everything now feels like a truly cinematic experience. Since my viewing space is kind of large, the arc makes sense. But if you have a smaller viewing space (< 250 sq ft) you will likelly get a similar experience with rhe Beam Gen 2 and a sub or perhaps just the Arc.

Sonos Beam (Gen 2) is a great soundbar for those who want to improve their home theater experience without breaking the bank. It supports Dolby Atmos, which creates a more immersive sound experience, and it has a built-in subwoofer that provides plenty of bass. I was very happy with the sound quality, especially when watching movies in Dolby Atmos. Here are some pros and cons of Sonos Beam (Gen 2) based on my experience: Pros: Great sound quality, especially for its size Supports Dolby Atmos Built-in subwoofer Easy to set up and use Looks great Cons: Not as powerful as some other soundbars on the market The soundbar height can block some of the tv viewing area if not properly positioned A bit pricey Overall, I would highly recommend Sonos Beam (Gen 2) to anyone looking for a great soundbar that won't break the bank. It's a great way to improve your home theater experience, and it looks great too.

Just amazing! I live in a small apartment and as of right now I just have the arc for sound. And it does a fantastic job of making me feel like the sound is coming from everywhere. I’m planning on getting the sub mini for it so the sound bar can focus more on the mods and high. But as it stands it’s good enough as is. I will say the only down side is if you have Google nest speakers it will not play Apple Music in a group with them even though you can add it to Google home app and it has Google assistant. I haven’t tried other streaming sources yet. I do have Google tv and you can play it with your speakers that way but it will have a 1 second delay which is not worth it. But with that said I’m so impressed with the Sonos sound I plan on getting rid of my Google speakers and getting either Sonos or Apple speakers for my rooms cause I can play through them all at the same time. If you find it on sale like I did because the ultra came out don’t miss out on this amazing sound bar. I got mine for 600 new at Best Buy.

We had some Sonos One speakers for multi room audio and we’re interested in purchasing a soundbar that a) sounded great and b) played along well with our other speakers via airplay2. However, the price for Sonos products made it a difficult pill this swallow. We made a compromise and went with a competing product from Samsung only to find that the bass response wasn’t quite what we expected, and that product did not play along nicely with either Alexa multi-room audio nor our other Sonos products. So when BestBuy had an open box unit that was in “Excellent” condition and competitively priced with the current Black Friday sale for Sonos products (a rarity), it was a no brainer. Our unit arrived, as expected and took less than five minutes to set up and configure with our other existing speakers.

I picked up this Arc and it has changed my sound game in my room. It gets loud and crisp. It was simple to set up as it is plug and play and has 11 drivers for clear mids and highs. It also produced good enough bass for the bar but if you want to feel that bass I would recommend getting the Subwoofer. This also has upward firing atmos drivers which the levels can be changed in app to suit your room. Plus it has TruePlay which tunes your room.

This one bar puts out amazing sound. I had a full surround system but got tired of the wires. While this will never duplicate that, it puts out crisp and clear sound with surprisingly good bass. The only thing I'm a little disappointed with is the Dolby Atmos...I can't tell the difference in sound even when the Sonos app says it's on. However, I have high ceilings and I was told I wouldn't get the full effects. Bottom line, the Arc is worth the $800.

Excellent sound bar. When watching movies or shows equipped with Dolby atmos, the sounds bounce off the ceiling to simulate ceiling speakers and there are even times when the sound simulates rear speakers. Streaming music through the speaker sounds great too. I was worried that dialogue would be quiet and music and other sounds would be extremely loud, like on other units, but all of the sound has been extremely balanced. For perspective, I have pretty high ceilings (16ft) and somewhat wide living room and the surround simulation still does a great job. It was very easy to set up, took maybe 10 minutes. Added bonus: very nice to not have extra speakers and wires all over the living room without sacrificing the sound quality of true surround. Easy to pair with other Sonos speakers. I have a Sonos Move in the kitchen it is very easy to pair the Arc and Move together for music. Overall, worth the price if you can find one available. Plus it’s nice to be able to eventually add on a subwoofer and rear speakers over time.

I've had the Arc for about a month, and it's been connected to a Sub for almost that whole time. I may add surround speakers at some point, but have not yet. The Arc is excellent. Five stars. It's expensive, especially if you plan to add a Sub and/or Sonos Ones as surround speakers, but if you're shopping in this range in the first place, it's hard to find anything better. I'll break it down into three major categories, and while I'll deal with its relationship to the Sub, I'll review that product separately. 1. Sound quality At the end of the day, this is what matters, and it's extraordinary. I know the audiophiles have varying opinions and can run sophisticated evaluations that I can't, but to my ears, Sonos is pretty unbeatable. I'm sure adding Sonos Ones as surround speakers would be even better, but you can hear great surround from just the bar, too. I will say that it's more noticeable the louder it gets, so at low volume, you're not getting the full benefit. (This is obvious, but I watch late at night after my kid is in bed a lot, so I have to live with that.) As an avid sports viewer, I like having the option to enhance dialogue. The crowd noise tends to dwarf the announcers without it. (This may be a good thing, depending on the announcers.) The Sub does add heft to the lower-range output (which of course is the point of it). You'll be just fine without one, but if you're going to watch something like Top Gun: Maverick (which was the first thing I streamed to try this whole setup), you can tell the difference when it's there. 2. Build quality This thing is really well made and nice to look at. It replaced a Bose soundbar that was probably about a decade old, and it was clearly designed with aesthetics in mind (granted, Bose products look better than they did ten years ago too). The Arc is heavy, but in a good way - it feels premium. The connections are straightforward and easy to understand. 3. User experience Pros: Setting up Alexa as my preferred voice interface was easy. Connecting to and using the Sonos app was easy (it's jarring that there's no remote, but it's unlikely I'll ever be without a device like a smartphone in my own home, so it's not a problem). Connecting to the Sub was easy. Unlike my old Bose, it turns on and off with the TV and doesn't require me to have an additional remote handy at all times just to power the sound bar on and off. Casting over Wifi from any number of devices is easy - except one, which is the con below. Cons: the Arc has a single HDMI port (and that's it, no optical or any other type either), leaving you to choose whether to - connect all external gaming or streaming devices to your TV, and then pass that back down to the Arc. Many sets don't have Dolby Atmos pass-through capabilities, so this could cost people their ability to hear Dolby Atmos even on programming that has it, which downgrades the Sonos experience. My Samsung TV does have this ability, but it's really finicky about doing it consistently. (Samsung problem, not Sonos problem.) - connect a single gaming or streaming device directly to the Arc. This only works if your device has multiple outputs so you can also connect it to your TV. My Apple TV does not, so I don't have this option. It also doesn't work if you use multiple external devices. - cast sound from the device to the Arc through Apple Play or other Wifi-enabled option in your device and forego the need for an HDMI cable. This is the obvious solution, and I've tried this, but because the Apple TV is also connected to the TV, which is also connected to the Arc, it gets confused about which audio option I'm trying to use and I have to go into the Apple TV settings repeatedly to remind it. This may be an Apple TV problem more than an Arc problem, but Arc could have solved it by having multiple ports. When it works, though, it sounds better than the pass-through audio. Overall: outstanding in just about every way. Would prefer an additional HDMI port.

COVID - weird times. I figured, if we are going to be home more I might as well invest in the best and BOY did I find the best. Taking it out of the box you already know “man this is going to be good” - the packaging, so sleek and so clean. The little locks on the sides to hold it all in placed - it’s seamless. Installing it was a breeze. Just plugged in and go. Then there is the Trueplay set up - oh man, the glorious pings reverberating across the room as you dial in that perfect, clean sound is intoxicating. Within minutes you are up and running. I put on INCEPTION - get something with action and effects - instantly I fell in love. The ocean crashing off the walls, the intensity of the sound track, the deep breaths coming from that sweet Leo’s lungs - it was one of the most exciting things I’ve experienced. I called my fiancé in so she too could experience the glory. Replaying that opening scene I sat there, mouth a gape... she turned to me, pat my hand and said, “I just love that you love it...” yes... yes I do.
