This soundbar performs beautifully, but watching Heated Rivalry really showed its range. The audio during the cottage scenes was so clear and intimate it felt uncomfortably real. I Could Hear Things I Wasn’t Meant to Hear.

I had to go with 5 stars but I do have some cons, Let me start with the good! For cinema quality and theatre sound this sound bar has it! It is superb and legit and most definitely why I give it 5 stars, super simple to set up and I would say to most this sound bar alone would suffice, however to me, I need to add the sub and the surround speakers cause I NEED More power! The wireless features are nice and amazon Alexa is a nice touch. The bad, for some odd reason when you play music through the sound bar it is not great, it’s just okay, I’ve read reviewers say that when you add the sub the music pops so I will have to wait and see. There are no EQ settings, it’s very bare bones worth a night mode feature and a speech enhancement feature. However it seems to know exactly what to do for superior sound quality though, the price point is high but if you want top tier, I believe this is it! Pick it up if you love movies and want the cinema quality sound in your home!

Sound os great. Ease of use is awsome. Still unsure about the value. Thw price is insane and now i want the sub to go with it and its just as expensive as the bar. If you can afford to waste the money it works well and is easy to use. Kinda like the Apple of audio.

When I listened to the Arc in store, I swear I heard a bird fly past my ear. At that point, I was sold. I paired it with the Sony Bravia OLED and have been enjoying it ever since. The sound stage is wonderful assuming the content makes good use of Dolby Atmos. I haven’t connected anything for Bluetooth music, but I have played music through apps on the TV. Of course it sounds better than standard stereo, loud and robust. All around, it’s a great soundbar. Though the price is a little steep, i have not been disappointed. Best there is, best there was, best there ever will be. -Bret Hart

I can not write a review that matches the well written tech reviews. All I can say is you won't be disappointed. There are better Soundbars but it will be a hit on the wallet. This soundbar is not a compromise. My biggest complaint is with the cord. I have read it is a bit loose. That is an understatement. It will not stay connected. I used electrical tape to tighten it. I still have problems on occasion. A premium product should not have such a trivial issue.

Sonos Arc - no regrets with this purchase

My son had told me about the Sonos arc and mentioned how good it sounded. I currently had a low end sound bar and had difficulty hearing the voices. I also watched a couple of helpful youtube videos also comparing against other speaker systems. While the Sonos Arc sounds great, I especially like the ease of use and works with other Sonos speakers. I was angry when Sonos obsoleted the old speakers, but still ended up relenting when considering the ease of use. My kids bought me the sonos Move for Christmas and I can pair for playing music through the sonos app. I also just purchased two Sonos one SL speakers which are on their way. I heard these really help create full sound. I'm holding off on the sonos subwoofer for two reasons: 1) its $800 and 2) I'm in an apt and neighbors might get upset with base thumping. All-in-all, while I like great sound, I'm not an audiophile and opt for no wires and ease of use.

Great addition for a home theater. Sonos Arc sounds great by itself and even better paired with surround speakers. The Arc fills up the room. It gets pretty low on the bass so I might not need a sub for now. The app makes it easy to set up and use. It supports digital dolby plus but not dtx. That’s the only downside. It’s the best looking sound bar and premium quality. It’s not always in stock and the color choice is limited to black. It’s expensive for a sound bar but worth it. No need to buy all the surround pieces at once. You can easily add speakers later.

Purchased this as an upgrade to an older Sony soundbar I had been using for years. Immediately realized what I was missing out on. Sound is so much clearer and crisper. Dialog is easy to understand, even at extreme low or high settings. The companion app is great for turning on the Night and/or Dialog modes to dampen the loud background and bring forth the dialog for late night viewing when you don't want to wake up the kids. You can hear the bass with just the soundbar, though I will probably expand this with the Sonos bass in the near future, as well as, some surround speakers. However, the soundbar alone is plenty enough, especially for a small room.

In the last 8 years I've used soundbars like Bower & Wilkens Panorama 2 (~$2000+ MSRP) and Definitive Technology W Studio Micro + sub (~$800 MSRP) in my house. I thought the W Studio Micro had died (eventually fixed it), so I went ahead and picked up the Arc and Sub Gen 3 in December. Both of these products have since been relegated to other TVs. The Arc + Sub combination is better than I expected and being able to control all the settings with an iPhone or iPad makes it even better. Dolby Atmos content on streaming services and 4K Blurays sounds amazing. The soundbar looks sleek, modern, and fits nicely under my TV. It has been used for TV, movies, and music. The night mode is very useful because it can get extremely loud. Integrating it with the audio system built-in to the rest of the house was a breeze with the purchase of the Sonos Port. I would highly recommend this soundbar!

I started my quest for a soundbar with the Vizio Elevate, thinking that for a bit more $$, I'd get the whole enchilada, with sub and rear speakers. Well, the sub arrived DOA, rendering it and rear speakers unable to play; and the bar by itself didn't impress substantially. I returned it and ordered the Arc. The Arc arrived yesterday, and proved very easy to set up and play. It proved easy to calibrate with my iPhone; and the sound did impress. Another plus, even though it sits at the base of our 2018 LG OLED, the remote still works everything as it should. (The Vizio, sitting in same place, blocked the remote signal.) Another bonus: enabling Alexa allows voice control. I'll evaluate the sound for a while, then decide whether to add the Sonos sub and rear speakers. (I really like the Sonos Beam and sub in our son's home, so I'm inclined to go for it.)

This sound bar produces great sound. In a smaller room the bass is just fine without the sub. The Dolby atmos is also a great feature of this bar. By its weight you can tell that it is well built. Also set up was very easy.

    Sonos arc vs. beam

I first bought the Beam and was amazed, so naturally when the Arc went on sale I nabbed one. This soundbar sounds even better but it is so much bigger in physical size. I love both so much. Dialogue is crystal clear and with Atmos sound is coming from all over. With Arc’s dedicated height drivers, it’s ok. Can’t tell much sound is coming from above me. Buy both. A sub mini is a must too. And two Era 100’s. Don’t look back. Money should deter you not.

Pretty satisfied with the sound bar, dialogue is much clearer, I have a fairly tall vaulted ceiling, so not sure how effective the upward facing speakers are compared to a typical room. Bass is what you'd expect, will eventually add the Sub and a couple of surround speakers when I find them on sale, as this is very pricy system overall. Setup was very quick and easy with the app.
