Best speaker I've owned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had several soundbars and this is by far the best I've had. The ease of use has been a nice. You'll still miss the rear speakers if you're looking for true Dolby Atmos but all I can say is WOW! Works with my new LG TV nicely.

Sonos Arc = BEST Soundbar
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sonos Arc is absolutely amazing! I am Blown away. Would great separates be better? Probably but good separates, receiver and cabling are a lot more expensiv and hard to hide wires. I love the wireless simplicity and the clean installation. The Sonos Arc, Sub and One SL surrounds replaced a Samsung Q80R soundbar/sub set up. There is NO comparison. The Sonos Gen3 Sub is LEGIT! It is not just boomy either. It goes very deep but is superbly musical as well. The center channel clarity of the ARC is exceptional. The Dolby Atmos speakers in the ARC add a nice sense of height in my media room even though my room has high Vaulted 12' ceilings. The system was installed with the Sonos Gen 3 Sub, so I have not played the ARC alone. I "highly recommend" the SONOS Gen 3 Sub. This system makes the former Samsung Q80R 5.1.2 system sound mediocre to below-average at best. I was concerned the One SL surrounds might be lacking but boy was I ever wrong. The have great pace and sound superb. I got the SANUS wall mounts and that allows me to turn, pivot and angle them toward the sweet spot of my listening/viewing space. I connected the Sonos Arc with a good Audioquest eARC HDMI cable directly to the eARC on my LG CX77 OLED. Amazing system. Music through the ARC, Sub and Surrounds makes my large great room *Family room/dining/kitchen sound like a concert hall. I am so impressed with the SONOS solution I will be buying into a Sonos MOVE for my back patio and maybe add a couple more ONE SL's for another room in the house for background music. FYI - I used to have an SVS 2000W sub, ProAc British audiphile towers and all kinds of high end equipment. I probably had $15K or more into that system. I Like this more. It has system synergy that just works! It may not be the absolute last word for audiophiles, but it is a kick-a** home theater, media solution. Love the iPhone app too. If you are thinking about a Sonos Arc/Gen3 sub and One SL Surrounds, DO IT. None of these other TV brand soundbar/sub/surround systems can come close to this.

New Sonos Arc
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed a new sound bar to replace an older audio system and the Sonos Arc was very well reviewed from the research that I did. The sound quality is very good and it’s super easy to set up, but at $800 it’s quite the investment. I’m happy with the quality and the fact that I can continue to add to it by getting the subwoofer and speakers, but the price tag is the only drawback.

Good but not Excellent
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.[Employee of bestbuy] The soundbar alone is fine but I would not say excellent. I do believe when you add a subwoofer of some sort in to the equation it makes me so much better. The vocals and sound quality overall are good. As someone who is used to having a subwoofer off to the side I just wasn't satisfied with the soundbar alone. I also did not want to spend another $400 to $900 just for a subwoofer and if I wanted the rears than more money on top of that. At that point I would've bought a Samsung Q990F and been done with it. I would still say it is a good option though.

There’s a reason Sonus is expensive.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had originally purchased the Sony A5000 + sub and I was disappointed. No adjustments, poor bass response (too many higher frequencies), and I really thought it sounded very marginal for the price. I returned them the next day and bought the Sonus ARC + sub; what a difference. You get what you pay for. The app is simple to use and offers so many options. The sound bar is terrific and the bass is simply velvety; the way it should be. You will shell out for the bar and the sub, and you will cringe, but after you’ve gone through all the setup (it is very well organized) you’ll know why you bit the bullet, It’s worth every penny.

Sounds good - has some issues - pricy.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is good - it is not great. The reason I went with this product after months of research was because I felt it would be easy to anyone to use. Setup isn't so bad, but there are some issues; 1) It only connects via wi-fi on 2.4 channel and this is a slight issue with some routers. 2) I have had it about a month, and already had to do a hard reset because the sound for 1 or 2 seconds, goes out and then come right back on. It is very random - it isn't my wifi - it is the unit- Look it up. Updates can cause problems. 3) It is too expensive. The unit sounds great, but for the price - unless you are some very detailed audiophile, it is too pricey. We just have the ARC but I will not likely buy other units. Honestly you can get another brand and walk away with more speakers than just the one sonos.

Insane sound bubble with Sonos Era 300s and subs.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Stand alone I definitely get side and ceiling effects in an 23’ W x 18’ H x 9’ H room. With the Era 300s as surrounds and two gen 3 subs it’s as good as your going to get in the soundbar space other than Nakamichi Dragon which has more bass, better overall sound quality and a lot more power. The sound bubble Sonos system creates is second to none however in regards to clarity of sound placement in areas where there are no speakers. This system is truly worth the price tag.

Great quality
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome soundbar. Definitely think it is the top of the line. Only negative for me is the lack of through ports. If you need those then you might want to look elsewhere. Super easy to set up and great app.

Amazing sound system
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband and I have been waiting to purchase the Sonos Arc due to high price point. Unfortunately, it did not go on sale at all during the holiday season. We purchased it at market price in January and it has made a huge different in our Sonos sound system. Truly unmatched sound quality. Set up was easy. We are happy with our purchase.

Worth the Extra Cash
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Vizio M21d-H8R, Sony HTX8500, and the Sonos Arc to compare three standalone Dolby Atmos sound bars at different price points. I’m keeping one for use with my Hisense H9G and 2021 Apple TV 4K. My TV placement is not ideal for acoustics: the TV is in the corner, seating is not square with the TV and sits at a slight angle to it. There’s no square, flat surface behind or on either side of the TV, and the room is “lopsided” in relation to it. I wanted a sound bar that was: - Stand-alone. I don’t have room for a sub or satellite speakers. - Able to produce clear dialog. Dialog was often difficult to discern on my TV speakers, even on content like Ted Lasso that doesn’t have much happening aside from dialog. - Generally pretty good sounding. This might seem obvious, but I wanted sound that would match the quality of the H9G’s picture. The H9G is not the world’s most amazing television, but it’s no slouch. I was spending money on sound anyway, and I didn’t want to get something that felt sub-par. That said, while I have a decent ear, audio equipment seems to have a point of diminishing return where paying more doesn’t sound that much better. The Sonos Arc gets great reviews, but I wanted to see if I could tell with my own ears, in my apartment, with my equipment. The verdicts: Vizio M21d-H8R. Disappointing. Dialog was not clear, even after trying different EQ settings on the sound bar. There’s noticeable low end from the sub (compared to the H9G speakers) but it sounds cheap. The low end stuck out and had a boomy quality. In addition, there was bad latency from HDMI ARC. Latency was fine when the Apple TV was plugged straight into the sound bar, but any signal passed through the TV’s HDMI ARC was not syncable. I don’t recommend the M21d-H8R at all. Sony HTX8500. I noticed nothing wrong with this device, but nothing exciting either. Dialog was clear, low end was present and fit with other frequencies, and it decoded Dolby Atmos just fine. Surround effects were slight—I could hear some movement in the stereo field, but no height from Dolby Atmos, and everything felt like it was coming from straight ahead. This is expected for the technology in this sound bar, but less than what Sony advertises. Latency was good, through both HDMI ARC and the sound bar’s HDMI in. If my budget had kept me at this price point, I would have been satisfied with the HTX8500. Sonos Arc. At $500 more than the HTX8500, I really hoped this didn’t sound as good as it does. Unfortunately for my wallet, there’s a clear difference between the Arc and the HTX8500. Wherever that price/performance point of diminishing returns is, it’s above this. The Arc has a noticeably fuller sound. While it doesn’t have satellites, it still manages to create sound that feels immersive. The up-firing speakers do a decent job with the Dolby Atmos height dimension. Flares in the burning village scene of 1917 sounded like they were floating above. The effect wasn’t mind-blowing, but added a little more richness and dimension to the sound. There’s much more clarity in the low end compared to the HTX8500. Certain sounds, like flames or spaceship engine noise, were absent with the HTX8500 but subtly noticeably on the Arc. Dialog is pretty clear, and the dialog enhancement setting works well for the most part. Latency on the Arc is good, even though everything is run through the H9G and out to the sound bar using HDMI ARC. I hate extra remotes, so I appreciated the fact that the Arc is controlled via an app for the few times you need to tweak settings. Apple Airplay works great—the sound bar was easy to add to another pair or airplay speakers in my living room, with no wireless sync issues. I’m keeping the Arc and returning the others. The exciting sound is worth the extra money to me. For those looking to save money, the HTX8500 was satisfactory. Steer clear of the Vizio M21d-H8R.

Get the Arc. Then, get another.
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sleek, elegant, nearly-invisible hardware, delivers rich, room-filling sound, & can be controlled easily from any phone or device on the same WiFi network. Gonna get a second one for another space. Sonos hardware delivers fantastic sound, at reasonable prices, and unlike some brands (looking at you, Ultimate Ears), it does not have a glitchy, impossible app which renders the hardware useless. The Sonos app is clear, intuitive, and easy to use across multiple environments/setups.

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Expensive, but worth the price. Sound quality is substantially better than TV speakers (which were above average). Much more bass than other sound bars I’ve owned, including Bose. Very easy to setup.

Sonos arc dual sub era 300’s with stands setup
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love my sonos full setup with dual subs and era 300’s with their stands top notch. A lot of mixed reviews but the fact that after trueplay and peter pee’s review for best settings and using an RTA app to adjust the eq based on the room it will be different as well as with sub placement. With the RTA you can achieve a balanced sound and oh man does it sound great, very dynamic and no issues with movies clarity very happy with this purchase overall. Would love to get the ultra eventually

Sonos Nailed it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We’re using this Sonos Arc on an LG C9 with eARC. Streamed both Atmos and Non-Atmos movies and tv shows. It’s excellent. Voices are always clear which is important to me, after using true play, I got the sense of sound behind me in some action scenes in certain movies. I love the fact that all the drivers are always firing. When it detects Atmos, just like all our other Sound bars it does get louder and sound placement Is definitely more discrete. This Sound bar seems like it could fill a very open room. I’d put it up against our Bose Soundtouch 300 and I’d choose the Arc everytime because of Atmos and the fact that it’s ARC port actually works. The Sonos Arc falls somewhat short of our Samsung Q90R but most sound bars do and it will cost more than the Samsung to add rear speakers and a sub. As a stand alone bar though, this is the one to buy! You will not be disappointed, this thing is an absolute monster, MONSTER! We’re very happy with our purchase. Thanks Sonos!

Amazing sound bar
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as an upgrade from a different Dolby Atmos sound bar and its a head above the rest. My previous one was no slouch either. The design and set upnis simple. The accompanying app works well. Above all else the sound is supremely impressive, super sharp and clear. Sounds sound as of they are coming from areas far away from the actual speaker. Being able to expand the sound bar to include additional subs and sorround speakers is also a bonus. Not many other brands allow for that kind of flexibility.

Game changing soundbar, don't hesitate to buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am admittedly not an audiophile but I can generally sense good sound when I hear it. I have a 100 inch screen with an ultra short throw projector in large second floor den in my house. It is not a dedicated theatre room as there is additional areas for the kids to play arcade games etc. So I did not see the value in going full out 7 channel tower speakers and full surround. But I was willing to shell out some cash on a soundbar after being so disappointed with Samsung and Sony bars in slightly less price range. And my god I am glad I went with this bar! Keep in mind I also purchased the subwoofer along with it. Its bass is fine but I couldn't imagine a movie experience without the woofer (which absolutely slams btw! I left a review for that as well). In any event, I was super impressed with this bar's ability to direct sound in a manner that makes you think you have side or rear speakers. It's really incredible. While I realize Sonos sells rear speakers, my set up doesn't have a ton of depth so our reclining cinema chairs are against the wall so I don't totally see the value in them, particularly when the bar itself does such a good job of simulating that experience and sound. I have never left a review for a soundbar in my life as none of them have ever impressed me. The Sonos will completely change your mind on a soundbar. It's truly the first soundbar where I actually felt I was getting equivalent quality for what I paid. I would also mention that setup is incredibly easy when working with the Sonos app. I am such a novice when it comes to any home theatre setup and it was a breeze for me.

Well worth the price!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first purchase of a Sonos product. I am so impressed with the sound quality and simplicity of the set up and system. The arc soundbar is just the right size for my 65 inch Sony tv. The sound fills the room with volume and clarity. I live in an apartment so i leave the volume at 10 or 12 and that is still plenty of sound i wish i had a house to really see what this soundbar and sub could do! The subwoofer adds just enough bass and sounds so crisp and without any distortion. I do like the app you can see what sound source you are receiving if it is Dolby digital 5.1 or Dolby digital plus or atmos. This purchase was well worth the price you will not be disappointed!
