The Arc is excellent. I returned two play 5’s because the sound bar was so good I didn’t need them. I have the arc paired with the subwoofer and two Sonos 1’s and they sound amazing both for music and TV surround sound. I also have a beam that I was using in my family room but it wasn’t sufficient enough for a big room. I then bought the Arc and it definitely pushes out enough sound for large rooms. The difference you hear between the Beam and the Arc is in the details as far as people’s voices in a movie are much more clear and less muffled. Since it has more speakers it pushes significantly much more sound out towards you.

So, this thing works great and looks nice. It fits well under our LG C9 65" TV. I placed about 4" below the bottom edge of the wall-mounted TV per the recommendations. At this point, the last LG firmware for the TV hosed the Atmos use - at least for TV and DirecTV. It's hard to chase these issues with firmware as there are three devices here that need to match up and do things correctly: TV LG C9 TV SONOS Arc That aside, we watched "Greyhound" after a couple weeks of burn-in on the Arc. Re-did the EQ and TruePlay and turned it up! It sounded amazing - I have no SONOS sub yet, so we were all impressed as-is. One day I may opt in for the Sub, but for now, it's very very good. One thing I have to say is that the sound in modern movies is great, but then when you go back to TV, it's kinda blah. In fact, unless you watch something with the volume up a lot, the internal speakers might match better in some cases. Music played via AirPlay 2 is good. Have to see if it's me, or the Arc that doesn't sound quite as good as the SONOS 5 for just playing tunes. I listen to mostly rock/classic rock/grunge and 50's country stuff. Good, not a replacement for a true stereo though. If the firmwares all match up

Sonos products are fairly user-friendly. It was ease to unpackaged and setup. The sound quality is great and really fills the room. I've also synced it up with 2 Sonos One speakers. Another easy setup and all together great theater sound.

Great sound bar and the lack of cloth mesh makes it easier to clean. Though if you want to take advantage of true dolby atmos make sure you have a tv that supports eARC hdmi otherwise youll really only be able to have dolby 5.1 surround.

This thing is pricey no doubt and I had my reservations because of price alone. It’s a soundbar…and $800 soundbar. However, I went with it and half I did. I have mine paired with a pair of Sonos One SL’s and man does this thing sound incredible. This setup could not have been any faster or easier. The app is nearly perfect and is feature rich. This is coming from someone that also has a full system (AVR and separate speakers) in another room in our house. I’m now selling that gear to replace with more Sonos gear. I’m now hooked.

Pricey but worth every penny. Upgraded from a samsung center channel, sub and surround system. Sonos is 10 times better. Started off with the arc, then sub, then rear one SL’s. Need all for a complete sound but if money is tight the rears can wait. I havnt even use its full potential because i dont have eARC on my TV to get the full dolby atmos. That will come later. Playing music on it is night and day! I really wanted an actually hi fi system with towers but my living room is small and I know I would go all out with hi fi system and would put me in debt. This works for me and dont plan on upgrading anytime soon.

The Sonos Arc is an amazing sound bar. I purchased the bass as well as a set of SL One rear speakers and the sound is amazing. Highly recommend this set up for both the sound as well as mobility and ease of set up and use.

Let me first say, I wear hearing aids. My goal with the purchase of the Surround Sound System (Arc Sound Bar, 2 SL Ones & SubWoofer was to make watching TV fun and entertaining again. The Sound Bar exceeded my expectations and I’m very glad I made that purchase. I’m disappointed sorry to say that the other items did not help. Clearly my hearing problems caused my disappointment, because my children could hear the background sounds and thought the additional speakers added to the TV watching! I bring this up to only point out the following, the sales & support staff at BestBuys went beyond trying to make it work for me. Its because of their interest and personal attention to my problem, that will bring be back again. The gladly took the woofer & remote speakers back. Again the Sonos Arc Sound Bar is an exceptional product.

As a stand alone soundbar this is just average. Sure the sound is crisp and clear but the Atmos effect and surround effect is a disappointment. Also the setup is not as easy as they say it was. No remote and all controls are handle on an app that needs to be connected to it wifi to work. However, once you start to spend more money on the parts to complete the system, it gets better and better. With the 2 SL speakers you get the surround effect but the Atmos is still lacking. With the sub it adds the punch to the lows and mids. Overall I think it's just way too expensive for the complete package and you can get a true Atmos setup for less. The lack of Atmos effect is probably the most disappointed missing feature with Sonos. Updates from Sonos are rare and they really don't fix or take audio to the next level.

We are putting in a custom medial wall. The Yamaha amp and speakers in the living room are going away. I wanted great sound and a bar that made understanding the voices in TV great for the wife. I had this sounder hooked up for a test in about 15 minutes. The sound is really good even without the sub. ( I will try to sneak that in in the future) As every review will tell you, a single sounder is no match for a surround with properly matched speakers but this is really good. Worth the money in my book. I love BOSE by the way but everyone says the phone app for Sonos is so much easier. We will be adding some additional speakers around the house, on the patio and possibly by the pool. Great you can just pick about any source of music at your fingertips and send it all or some of your Sonos speakers. The future of home music systems.

Incredible sound, but with occasional issues

As far as sound quality, the Arc is *amazing* to my ears — especially for a single sound bar. But the app and setup can be a bit cumbersome. I sometimes have issues where the sound will just cut out in the middle of a movie. That is a major annoyance, but is pretty rare, and if I stop it and jump back into it it’s usually fine. Also, it occasionally it seems that it’s not playing in the quality I expect (i.e. if I look in the app it may say Dolby 5.1 or something instead of Dolby Atmos, even when Atmos is available). I don’t know if those kinds of issues are more to do with the Arc or my Apple TV or what, but I mention it to say, my experience has been great, but not always quite as effortless as I hoped/expected (especially for the price!)
