||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sonos Arc Ultra has been an awesome upgrade. Setup was incredibly easy, plug it in, follow the app steps, and it was up and running in minutes. I had no connectivity issues at all, despite seeing some people mention problems elsewhere. It paired smoothly with my Sony Bravia 8 and has stayed rock solid since day one. Sound quality is excellent with clear dialogue and immersive depth, making movies and TV feel truly cinematic. Overall, it’s been reliable, simple, and absolutely worth it!

A must upgrade from Arc
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If immersive sound, flexible control, and speech clarity matter to you, this is a MUST upgrade. The Arc Ultra is a significant technical leap. It not only expands from 5.0.2 to 9.1.4-channel (including a built-in woofer) but also integrates Sound Motion technology, delivering more precise, enveloping audio. Key upgrades like Bluetooth, AI-enhanced dialogue, and Android-friendly Trueplay tuning make it smarter and more convenient.

Great good looking premium soundbar
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple Setup: Connecting this to my TV was incredibly straightforward. It was basically "plug and play." Sleek Design: It looks fantastic on the mantle. It’s low-profile and has a very modern and premium feel. The App Experience: The Sonos app is easy to use. Audio Performance: I’m no audiophile, but the sound quality is a massive step up from TV speakers. Dialogue is crisp, and the profile is rich and balanced. The Trade-offs Price & Expansion: It’s definitely on the pricey side. What’s more, if you want "true" surround sound, you have to buy additional rear speakers (like the Era 100s or 300s), which easily adds hundreds to a couple of thousands more to the total bill. The "Surround" Effect: On its own, the soundbar doesn't quite replace a multi-speaker system. You get a wide soundstage, but I’m not really getting that "sound behind me" feeling yet, which is probably expected from a single bar. I have not used the voice control but that's not something I care for.

A true flagship soundbar for audiophiles and home
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sonos Arc Ultra is a stunning example of what a high-end soundbar can achieve when design and technology come together perfectly. From the moment it’s powered on, you can tell it’s built for immersive, cinematic sound that fills every corner of your room. Setup is incredibly smooth through the Sonos app—connect it to your TV via HDMI eARC, link it to Wi‑Fi, and you’re ready to go in minutes. The wireless integration with other Sonos speakers makes it ideal for expanding into a full surround system later. Sound quality is where the Arc Ultra truly shines. The Dolby Atmos support creates a breathtaking three-dimensional effect that makes movies, games, and even TV shows sound alive. Dialogues are crystal clear, background effects have spacious depth, and the bass feels full without needing a separate subwoofer (though pairing with a Sonos Sub Gen 4 takes it to another level). The automatic Trueplay tuning adjusts to your room’s acoustics, delivering balanced, detailed sound regardless of placement. Even at high volume, the Arc maintains impressive clarity and separation—you hear every layer of music and every detail of a soundtrack. Its elegant, minimalist design also deserves praise—sleek, curved lines, premium materials, and an understated presence that blends effortlessly with any TV setup. It looks as good as it sounds.

Just buy it. Amazing soundbar especially for apts.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best soundbar and possibly speakers I’ve ever own. I live in a 2bd apartment on the second floor and I was looking for a new soundbar. I owned a Yamaha soundbar paired with a 6in subwoofer but it really suffered with dialog. I always felt like I was constantly adjusting the volume just to hear speech audio. Not only that but it would intermittently lose connection. I already own a pair of KEF Q100 bookshelf speakers that I use with my PC but I didn’t want to use them in our living room. They would take up too much space with stands and I don’t have a receiver. On my computer desk I have a small dac/amp but that wouldn’t work for my entertainment system. So I decided to buy a soundbar. After tons of research I decided to go with the Sonos Arc Ultra and I’m so glad I did. No more constantly messing with volume. Dialogue is crystal clear even with speech enhancement off. Night mode saves me from constant anxiety after 10pm that my volume or bass is too loud. Night mode is great for gaming and movies but not so much for music but that’s okay. The Arc Ultra also has a built in driver for bass and it packs a punch. If you live in apartment, want some rocking bass, but don’t want a dedicated sub then buy this soundbar. You’ll be more than happy. I ended up buying a Sonos Sub Mini only because I love body shaking bass (sorry neighbors). Again night mode is a life saver. It will reduce the bass a bit but the audio still sounds natural. Atmos/Spatial Audio is game changing too! My old soundbar had virtual Atmos but it doesn’t even compare to having dedicated upward firing speakers. It’s so immersive and I’ve been rewatching a lot of old movies just to experience their Atmos mix. Even my wife loves it. Our 4 month old baby also approves. We’re saving up for a pair of Era 300s next. The only thing is that I did have to run TruePlay tuning a few times to get it to sound like I like. The soundbar does get very loud especially when the source audio is Dolby Atmos. Volume levels will vary if the source audio is a different format but when it’s Atmos our volume rarely goes beyond 35. If it’s stereo or Multi Channel PCM it can creep up to 50. Overall I love this bar and plan on buying more Sonos products.

A worthy Dolby Atmos soundbar alternative
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After upgrading the TV in our family room, we decided the old soundbar we were using needed an upgrade. We wanted a soundbar that could support full Dolby Atmos without requiring rear surround speakers as they would have needed to be placed on the floor and our young grandson would likely knock them over or be tempted to play with them. We decided on the Sonos Arc Ultra, which we purchased on sale at Best Buy. We weren't concerned about the lack of a remote, since we use our Apple TV to control our Samsung TV which in turn adjusts the volume on the soundbar through eArc (eARC being your only connection option for Dolby Atmos). Setting up the Sonos Arc Ultra through my iPhone was quite easy and I experienced no problems (some had reported issues with the previous Sonos Arc). The sound of the Sonos Arc Ultra without the rear speakers is quite good, although those expecting it to rival the sound of a very good hi-fi system might be disappointed. Note you have to use the Sonos app to see whether your Sonos unit is actually play Dolby Atmos or PCM 5.1. I would highly recommend this unit to those in a similar position us. If you have the ability to support rear speakers the Samsung Q990 soundbar is probably a better choice if you can get it on sale. We later purchased the Sonos Sub 4 to further enhance the sound qualities of the Sonos. We waited until it on went on sale and were then able to use the Best Buy points from our Sonos Arc Ultra purchase.

Great sound, easy hookup
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have several Sonos products which I love. Sound is Phenomenal
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality of this soundbar blew me away. Replaced a Bose Dolby Atmos soundbar and there really is no comparison. Voices are much clearer and overall sound is much improved, I paired it with a Sub 4 and Era 300 surrounds, and the setup in the app was super easy, including when calibrating to the room itself.

10/10 *Golf Clap*
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this soundbar. I purchased 2 Era 100’s as well. The bass is way more than expected from a soundbar. The sound quality is top notch. The only con, in my opinion, is the price. Even though its rather expensive for a system, the ease, quality & experience are undoubtedly worth it in the long run. I’d purchased three “cheaper” setups before finally biting the bullet and purchasing the Sonos setup & I wish i wouldve just done it from the start. The Sonos subwoofer and additionally two Era 300’s will be my final purchases. Its not needed by any means, but why not? Haha. It really is the most simplistic surround sound setup at the highest quality on the market. Other reviews have had issues with setup/app functionality, but I havent had any issues. That being said, there are two things I wish Sonos would rethink or make optional… i wish there was a remote to adjust the surround/EQ, etc., so i didnt have to use the app. When I come home, I dont want to be distracted by my phone anymore than I already am. Certainly not a deal breaker. Secondly, I wish mounts/stands were included for the price. I can be reasonable and say it’s understandable with the remote speakers, but the soundbar… almost $1k…? C’mon. I know its peanut shells in the grand scheme, but my perspective is that every dollar i spend equivocates to more time at work to pay for it & less time enjoying my family & the product ive purchased. Wishful thinking because i know everything is about the bottom dollar & shareholders these days, but if youre paying top notcb price, you shouldnt be shorted top notch options/flexability. Just my opinion.

One of the best AIO soundbars you can buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sonos Arc Ultra is one of the best flagship soundbars you can buy under $1000 but lack of features and less accurate sound may make you look elsewhere. The design: the arc ultra looks very similar to the existing arc. It’s a little shorter in height in comparison so it may fit under tvs better. There’s a new bump out in the back that hosts the touch controls now rather than being integrated on the bar itself but overall the look and feel is largely similar. Features: Sonos has added some new features this time around in the form of their new sound motion tech, improved true play and Bluetooth support. It’s nice to see Sonos finally support Bluetooth in addition to the WiFi streaming options but we are still lacking any additional HDMI ports so we’re still taking up a port on the tv which is detrimental if you only have 2 hdmi 2.1 ports with one of them being the earc port. Replay this year comes in two flavors: the original trueplay now called advanced trueplay and quick trueplay which uses the microphones in the bar itself to do the tuning so both android users and iOS users can get in on the fun. I actually prefer quick play tuning even though I use an iPhone and you can still use your phones microphone for part of the quick tuning if your using iOS so it’s the best of both worlds. Performance: the original Arc was already a great performer and the Ultra elevates that performance to another level. Dialogue is much improved over the arc and outside of very poor audio mixes I’ve never had to use the dialogue enhancement feature. The sound itself is very good with good powerful forward projection and a surprisingly wide soundstage due to the virtual wide surround channels. The bar touts itself as a 9.1.4 bar and while it makes an admirable attempt you don’t quite get surround sound. You do get a sense of a 3d bubble but rather than being inside the bubble it’s more a sense that the bubble is in front of you with you being able to tell something like left surround being in a space to the bottom left in front of you. The height channels are very clear sounding and user adjustable in the app for how boosted or not you want them to be but there is no chance of you ever feeling like it’s a .4 system, the height effects are very much centered in the front of the room. The new sound motion tech is actually very interesting. There is a considerable boost to the bass performance with the tech and was even able to make the floor rumble in my room even with the bar sitting on top of the tv legs. I’d actually say that I don’t think you actually need to get a sub to experience bass but getting a Sub/Sub mini will allow you to go a little lower and be a little smoother also freeing up the bar to enhance the midtones instead. There’s only one real issue that I have with the bar and it’s that it’s not necessarily an accurate sound. I’ve played multiple different sources of media that I’m intimately familiar with and while it all sounded really good, they all sounded somewhat off. Especially for higher pitched treble sounds it feels like the pitch is wrong. For most people this probably won’t bother them with how great the sound is in general but it’s something to be aware of. In conclusion, the arc ultra offers a very good mix of sound quality, tech improvements, and features making it one of the best all in one soundbars but there are both more expensive and less expensive bars that either provide more features, better accuracy, or just more speakers and real channels.

Sonos Arc Ultra
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently converted to Sonos and I couldn’t be happier. I purchased the Sonos Arc Ultra along with the Sub 4 and two Era 100s for my living room, and the whole experience has been fantastic from start to finish. The packaging is premium and well thought out, which already sets a great first impression. Setup was incredibly easy...everything connected quickly and smoothly through the Sonos app. Now for the sound… absolutely amazing. The Arc Ultra delivers crystal-clear dialogue and a huge, immersive soundstage, while the Sub 4 adds deep, powerful bass that you can feel without being overwhelming. Paired with the Era 100s for surround, it truly feels like a home theater. I’m definitely glad I made the switch to Sonos. This system has completely transformed how I watch movies, TV, and listen to music. Highly recommended!

New Bose?
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I remember growing up and seeing the little Bose cube speakers, and those few friends whose parents had the know-how and the means to get them. I was in awe of the sleek receiver it came with, and if you got the whole kit and kaboodle, the cube speakers could be bent in different directions. Then there was the sound! I was amazed at how much clarity and warmth came from those guys and gals. It seemed like the whole package. Fast forward to today, I’m an adult with the know-how and decided, after years of receiver and wired speakers, to finally the Samsung Q990D soundbar. I chose to spend the money on the Sonos Arc Ultra, Sub 4, and 2 Era 300 speakers. I’ve heard the Era 300 speakers by themselves, and I felt that same feeling I had as a kid listening to those Bose speakers the clarity and warmth really are something special. The speakers have a nice design, and the unboxing experience was clearly well thought out they did things I’ve never seen before that help make unboxing smooth. The app is pretty easy to use it’s a little over-engineered but does what it needs to do. Besides the price which is its only real downside. I’m very happy with the purchase and highly recommend it.

Setup was quick and straightforward, and the integration with the Sonos app made everything easy to configure. Whether I'm watching movies, sports, or listening to music, the audio quality is consistently outstanding. Dolby Atmos content sounds especially impressive, creating a wide and spacious soundstage that makes you feel like you're in the middle of the action.

Pricey.....but worth it.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always been an audio snob going back to the early 70’s. My favorite all time component was a Sansui Quadraphonic receiver. I had a cheap soundbar in my bedroom which enhanced dialog, but little else. Since I recently upgraded my TV to a 65” OLED, I decided to upgrade the soundbar as well. I decided on the Arc Ultra with the mini sub and two ERA 100 SL for surround. I have had it for 3 weeks and I am stunned and amazed by the sound quality. I am starting to question why I spent so much money on separates in my media room. You can have the Sonos unboxed and running in under 30 minutes. No messy speaker wires and the Trueplay optimization was so much easier than setting up Audyssey on my Marantz processor. The LFE on the mini sub is more than enough for the bedroom. Atmos audio tracks fill the room and even non-Atmos soundtracks like “The Martian” which is 7.1 DTS felt like I was on Mars when the storm hit. You will not regret spending a little extra on the Sonos.

A Slight Upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m no audiophile but you can clearly hear the difference between the regular arc and the arc ultra. The speech enhancement feature makes it so that it picks up vocal audio more clearly but lightens the background music/sound. It’s very interesting configuring the speech enhancement from low, medium, and high settings. VERY IMPORTANT: If you have a Sonos Sub paired with the Arc Ultra and speech enhancement is turned on, the bass isn’t as heavy hitting as it tries to prioritize more vocals. This can be adjusted to match your preferred audio hearing. If speech enhancement is turned off and it’s connected to a Sonos Sub, the bass feels more distinguishable. The Arc Ultra itself has added bass so if you were to build upon your audio set up, I’d suggest getting the era 100’s or 300’s. -Voice command (It’s an ok feature that isn’t really nothing to brag about and can be easily turned off) -The volume slider is a unique feature and responds immediately with each touch. I’d give it an overall 4/5 as while there are noticeable changes compared to the previous Arc, I don’t think you really need to upgrade. If you already have an Arc and you’re on the fence about getting the new one, I’d suggest upgrading your set up by adding either a Sub or any of the Eras. Finally, many people have complained about system issues with the Sonos App. As far as I’m concern, I haven’t gotten a single issue using the app. My only conclusion to the app is that it’s Apple orientated as it recently pushing for an Android friendly service.

Posted .Thank you for your detailed review and valuable insights on the Arc Ultra! We're thrilled to hear that you’ve noticed the clear improvements in sound quality, especially with the speech enhancement feature, and the added bass. It’s great to know that you’ve been able to adjust the settings to your preferences and have enjoyed the overall audio experience.
We also appreciate your thoughts on the system setup and the Sonos app. It's helpful to hear that you haven’t encountered the app issues others have mentioned, and your feedback on the voice command feature and the volume slider is useful for future users to understand what to expect.
Your suggestion of adding a Sub or Era speakers for an enhanced experience is definitely a good recommendation for those looking to build upon their setup. As for the upgrade decision, it seems that the Arc Ultra is a solid option for anyone looking to improve their system, but for those already with an Arc, your advice to consider adding complementary devices makes a lot of sense.
Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we’re glad to hear you’ve been enjoying your Sonos system overall!

The best soundbar
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sonos Arc Ultra is a triumph in single-bar home theater. The biggest upgrade is the revolutionary SoundMotion technology, which delivers shockingly deep, punchy bass without needing a separate subwoofer—a massive win for clean setups. Its 9.1.4 spatial audio creates an incredibly immersive Dolby Atmos bubble, making overhead and side sound effects feel much more precise than the original Arc. Dialogue clarity is also vastly improved thanks to the new advanced speech enhancement feature. Aside from the lack of extra HDMI passthrough ports, it’s the absolute gold standard for premium standalone soundbars.
