System installed in an open area family room adjacent to a kitchen and nook area. Family Room 20’x16’. Essentially, plug in, follow intuitive app install instructions & learn the easy to follow instructions to play the system from the TV E-Arc connection & your favorite streaming app. Immersive, high end audio experience. Buy bigger & more expensive if you want to. I took the minimalist approach for the white decor, size & decor. The appearance & audio experience not only met my expectations, but far exceeded them. I tried the Era 300 for the room size. The speaker footprint looked out of place and the audio was overkill for what I wanted for this room. Of Note: I use the Era 100 as surround sound speakers. You can adjust the audio level for music and TV in the surround audio setting. Go to the sound section for all the audio settings & have at it to your liking. Lots of questions about the Beam E-Arc cable to the TV (me: LGC1 65”) cutting out the use of Bluetooth headphones (For me: AirPod Max) connected to the TV. My solution: from the Beam, connect the male end of the hdmi cable, not to the E-Arc port of the TV, but to a 2nd hdmi cable that is female on one end and male on the other. Get the length of your choice. Plug the male end into the TV E-Arc port. I taped the cord mid level on the back left side of the TV with plenty of length & slack on the female end. Insert the beam male end into the female end and subsequently received immediate Sonos Beam connectivity using the TV & music app. With the TV in the off position, I reach around inches to the rear left side of the TV, pull on the connected hdmi cords & disconnect them. The cords remain within inches of each other for later reconnection. With the E-Arc cable unplugged, the TV resorts to its audio and bluetooth settings. This allows me to watch movies after hours, using the bluetooth headphones. After movie watching, I turn off the TV, take 10 seconds to reconnect the cables and I’m back online with the Sonos system. Remember, it’s TV E-Arc enabled devices sending audio over an hdmi cable to home theatre sound systems (ie Sonos systems.) Hope this is helpful for someone out there.

I live in a townhouse and the sound on this Beam Gen 2 sounds amazing. Movies are incredible, music sounds great. Im surprised how big the soundstage sounds for such a small Soundbar. I know some people complain that it is not loud enough, that could be that your channel input is set on stereo instead of dolby 2.0 or dolby atmos. I had that problem and once I changed the channel the sound doubled in loudness. Also I love the nightmode feature where it surprises the loud sounds, I have next door neighbors and like that I can still watch movies without having to disturb those around me. I think this Soundbar is great for a small to medium size living room, its plenty loud for me and I never go above 50% volume since its plenty loud enough without shaking the walls.

This Sonos Bar is the Best soundbar that I have heard in a very long time. It saved me money from not having purchase other speakers that are more costly. The sound is great and the price even better.

Great soundbar for small to medium room/bedroom. Pair it with Era 100 for surround sound. But without pairing also it works great.

The Beam 2 was very easy to setup and the TV and streaming music sound in our living room is now amazing! We have an LG 4K TV that seamlessly integrated into the Beam 2 and our CATV provider. The only issue is we haven't figured out how to get the volume level to appear back on the TV screen when we adjust it. Full disclosure, we already had owned a Sonos Amp which was driving a pair of (non-Sonos) indoor ceilling speakers in our living room, but only for streaming audio services via our cell phones (no TV connection). So we purchased the Beam 2 to integrate with Amp and those spreakers, as rear surround sound speakers, and after a couple of tried, we got it to work, and it's amazing.

Wow. Just wow. In a smaller room you don't even need a sub. This thing throws sound highs and lows. I wasn't sure what to expect but I doubt I'll try any other brand after this. Setup was plug and play, super easy. The app is extremely easy to use. Recommend 100%

I love my new Sonos sound system. It’s amazing and the sound is full, with brilliant highs and thunderous lows. I can’t wait to expand my system to include additional speakers for my walls to get a true theatre like experience.

This sound bar replaced a Bose TV speaker and has outshined the Bose in all meaningful categories. Dialogue is much better.

I was worried after reading some reviews that cautioned about the Sonos app not working/causing confusion. However, I had no such problems when I setup my soundbar; in fact, I was surprised at how straightforward and easy it was, especially once I understood that I could use either my phone as the remote from the SONOS app I downloaded or my existing remote.

Quick and easy is a goal of mine when I buy a new electronic. The SONOS soundbar met that goal and much more. Connection was simple and the app made it quick to startup. I look forward to adding to my SONOS system with wireless speakers.

I bought this soundbar for my new Sony bedroom tv . It sounds fantastic. Has a lot of bass, if you use the equalizer with the Sonos remote app on your phone. I am all about the bass. For the bedroom this soundbar is fantastic. I have the bigger more expensive Sonos one SL speakers , Playbase with Sub in my family room which is like being in a movie theater. Though i don't like the fact that Sonos aren't bluetooth the fantastic sound is worth the trade off. I went from Bose to Sonos. I would never go back to Bose. Love the sound. I highly recommend this Beam 2 for smaller rooms. Pricey but worth it. Need better instructions for setting them up . Took me over 3 hours to set them up . I purchased open box with no instructions. Found manual on line but was still a pain to set up for me !!

Amazing sound! Easy to set up on the app also bought the sub and within a minute it was all connected together.

Sonos Beam (Gen 2) is a good mid-range soundbar for small to medium-sized rooms. It’s not bulky and setup is very simple. It is perfect for my 55-inch TV and will consider adding the Sonos Sub Mini in the near future.

I love this soundbar because it’s compact but powerful. Sounds great with TV or playing music through the Sonos App.

The Sonos beam really highlighted how flimsy my tvs speakers were before. I’ve noticed a big difference in the fullness of sound for movies.

The Sonos is connected to my Samsung OLED TV. The picture and sound is remarkable. The sound belies the sound bar's small size.

Purchased this, a sub and two surrounds for the upstairs TV room. We have an arc downstairs and I was surprised at the output of this little guy. Not quite as good as the ark but absolutely amazing
