This speaker connects to the TV but doesn’t connect to the App and is therefore useless as all of its features and settings can ONLY be accessed through the app. We spent hours on Sonos customer service chat and the phone troubleshooting the connection and repeatedly got the same message. Per Reddit users, it sounds like the Sonos App and its updates are garbage and the App is an ESSENTIAL part of using the speaker correctly (like speaker settings, Spotify and other app use, etc.)!! Plug and play? Not even close. Would give zero stars if I could. The amount of frustration trying to set up this speaker (and it never working) is 100% not worth the brand or the price. IMO, Sonos should pay me for having dealt with such a piece of crap for two days, only to have to return it. And now I missed Black Friday deals on other brands. Hot garbage.

This has to be the worst technology experience I’ve had in years from a company that has made easy setup their identity. I bought a Beam 2 this evening as a simpler solution than setting up my 5.1 in a new house. After connecting the Beam to the Sonos app, all looked fine. I was prompted with a request to update the Beam, did so, and had the app crash and update fail. I then tried to open the Sonos app again, and received the message “Sign in as the System Owner”. I AM the system owner. Backing out and restarting the app created an endless login loop. I then hard reset the Beam, deleted my account and app, downloaded the app again and created a new account. Got the Beam connected, and failed again during update with a second error message. The only solution I can find online is to hard connect it to my router, but that is two floors away which defeats the entire point of buying for convenience. Extremely disappointed after the promises of easy setup and convenience.

This speaker is really great. Simple to install and set up. But best of all, it sounds amazing. I have this installed on my bedroom TV so the space isn't in as large as my TV room.

Amazing sound and great differentiation of lower bass noises and higher sounds. We synced it with our other Sonos product and it plays musically layered songs with perfect tone. Highly recommended!

Great sound, works well to play music and with my tv. Really adds a boost to my living room. Also works seamlessly with other Sonos devices.

I can finally hear voices with my new sound bar. It was easy to pair up with my LG OLEOD TV. The bass is not bad, but it could benefit with the addition of a Sonos woofer down the line if you want to add that feature in the future. Dialogue is now clear with my new Sonos speaker. It's a huge upgrade over my 150 buck LG sound system. I use my phone to control the volume etc with the Sonos app. This speaker does not come with a dedicated remote. I can control the volume with my LG remote as well. If I had a complaint, it needs a little more bass. Otherwise the sound is great when playing your favorite jazz channels from your phone or watching movies on your TV. This sound bar is perfect for small spaces, like my studio apartment.

Bought this to replace a soundbar that just wasn’t working well. The Sonos Beam was easy to set up, the size is ideal and the sound is great. Can hear voices again and was able to turn off closed captions. We are so happy we purchased this.

I added the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) to my bedroom TV and the sound upgrade is amazing. Dialogue is super clear and the Dolby Atmos makes movies and shows feel much more immersive even in a smaller room. Setup was quick with the Sonos app and the soundbar looks clean and modern under the TV. Great choice if you want big sound without a huge system.

Purchased this on a Black Friday sale to use with my 43" Sony Bravia TV that I have in a small living room. This is my first soundbar and after some research and going to BestBuy to listen to the ones on display, and compare the different Sonos models and also Bose soundbars I decided on the Beam 2. I bought this for a few reasons: the built-in TV speakers were hard to hear people's voices, and I also wanted a better speaker for movies, and a speaker to be able to stream music too. The Beam's sound is a massive upgrade from the Sony built-in TV speakers and ticked all the boxes I was looking for. Even with just the soundbar and no additional speakers, the Beam still gives the sense of surround sound with a wide expansive soundscape, and really crisp dialog and a really layered sound. It feels like a movie theatre quality sound to me, just watched the original John Wick in Dolby Atmos and it sounds incredible. Set-up was simple and I had it setup and paired to my Apple TV 4K in just a few minutes, just had to go into the TV and Apple TV's menus and change them to output sound to an external sound system. The remotes also all work with the Beam. Would definitely recommend.

I got the Bean to use as a sound bar for the LG OLEG tv in my bedroom. I can now hear sounds (music, sound effects) that I did not hear from the TV's speakers, I can also now hear and understand dialog that seemed muted or garbled from the TV speakers. The installation was strait forward and easy with the downloaded app. This is a compact soundbar that delivers big sound for its size. It fits nicely under most TVs and looks sleek.
