Customers are saying

Customers value the Beam (Gen 2) 5.0 Channel Smart Soundbar with Dolby Atmos for its unmatched sound quality, ease of use, and simple setup. The soundbar's compact size, impressive bass, and Dolby Atmos capabilities are also appreciated. However, some customers have reported occasional connectivity issues, and a few find the soundbar to be somewhat expensive and would prefer it to include a physical remote.

The Sonos Beam was recommended by the Best Buy associate when we were purchasing our new TV. Initially he showed us a sound bar system by the manufacturer of the TV. I really wanted something with quality sound without having to have several speakers spread around the room. The 5 little speakers in this sound bar appealed to me. Additionally it could be mounted under the TV and also has the capability to add more speakers if we should ever want to. The sound is excellent. We did not realize when we purchased the Sonos Beam that it had the added features of voice control and compatible with Alexa to play music.

I have Vizio 2.1 and 5.1 soundbars on a couple of TV's in the house that I'm very happy with, but I opted to go with the Sonos Beam Gen 2 for my outdoor patio TV. And boy, I'm glad I did! The Beam is a great sounding soundbar. It has clean sound and adequate enough bass for me but eventually I will add a Sonos Sub Mini to really fill it out. The Beam integrates perfectly with all my outdoor audio systems, which includes the Sonance SGS 8.1 system, Sonos amp, Sonos Port music streamer, 50" Insignia TV, and a pair Polk Atrium 8 SDI speakers. I currently have three zones set up (pool, patio speakers, and patio TV) so I can listen to individual zones or all of them simultaneous for evenly balanced sound distribution throughout my entire 6700+ square foot backyard. I picked up the Sonos Beam along with two Era 100s and the Sub Mini for my bedroom, and this setup is absolutely perfect for the space. Just like my other Sonos gear, the packaging is sleek and well-designed, and the setup was quick and easy through the Sonos app. Everything connected without any hassle. The sound quality is incredible for a bedroom—the Beam delivers clear dialogue and rich detail, while the Era 100s create a great surround effect. The Sub Mini adds surprisingly powerful, clean bass that fills the room without being too much. Whether I’m watching TV, movies, or listening to music, this system makes everything sound better. Sonos really nailed it with this combo, and I couldn’t be happier with how it performs in a bedroom setup.

The Sonos Beam is a soundbar that has a small design but big sound. It is compact, easy to set up, and has excellent sound. It also has Alexa and multi-room music streaming. I have added sub-mini to the set-up.

I spent countless hours trying to decide which soundbar would be perfect for my bedroom and I settled on this one. My first Sonos Product so I approached with caution, I'm glad to say I was not disappointed. The Sonos Beam 2 comes packaged in a simple yet hefty box, very protected. It comes with an HDMI cable (to connect to your HDMI Arc/eArc connection), an HDMI to Optical conversion plug and the Power Cable. The Beam Gen 2 is quite a beautiful and sleek looking soundbar that would fit into any modern setting. Once mounted to the wall (with the help of the Sonos Beam Mount) Setting it up was simple enough (requires an App and preferably an IOS device). You will probably need to fiddle with your TV sound settings to actually get Atmos Out of this soundbar (if supported by your TV). Overall a terrific purchase (Especially during Black Friday). Again, my first Sonos Product but will definitely not be the last!

I recently purchased the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) in black, and I have to say, I am absolutely in love with this soundbar! The setup was incredibly easy, and within minutes, I was able to start streaming my favorite music and movies with incredible sound quality. One of the things I love most about the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) is the voice control feature. It allows me to control my music and TV with my voice, which is incredibly convenient and easy to use. The sound quality is also top-notch, with deep, rich bass and crystal-clear highs. Another great feature of the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) is the ability to connect it to other Sonos speakers in my home for a truly immersive sound experience. And with the ability to stream music from a wide range of services, I never have to worry about running out of content to listen to. Overall, I would highly recommend the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) to anyone looking for a high-quality soundbar that is easy to use, packed with great features, and delivers incredible sound quality. It's definitely worth the investment! 5 stars all the way!

Great speaker overall. The Dolby Atmos experience is as you might expect for a mid tier sound bar. Not amazing but there to some degree. The bass is impressive with excellent mid and high frequency range. Only note it that if you are living in an apartment, you loose some power in the mid and low frequencies when below 50% volume. Nothing that can’t be fixed with an EQ adjustment. Overall very pleased with the purchase and plan to buy more Sonos soon.

I returned my Bose Soundbar 700 for this. Hands down vastly superior to the Bose product that is twice the cost. Setup was super simple, the size is perfect for my 55" TV. It's mind blowing to me how much better the sound is than my Bose. This is my first Sonos product (I've always purchased Bose) and I'm a convert.

This is the third Beam we've purchased for different rooms in our home and we own versions of almost all Sonos home theater products. eARC compatibility allows for one remote functionality with apple tv. Airplay support allows for drop in sound system/music without having to rely on Sonos app (which is okay and offers extra control but entails extra steps). We've found the Beam has the best over all sound quality for medium sized rooms at this price point and exceeds the performance of two current gen era 100s in stereo. One can achieve better sound with two current gen era 300s or Arc/Arc Ultra (and even better with sub) but either option would cost a few hundred dollars more. Probably would buy another if a need arises.

Already have several Sonos devices in diff spaces throughout my home (Amp, Arc, Subs, SL ones etc) which sons no longer living at home loved. Due to the fact that they live in smaller spaces I purchased Beams for both to upgrade their more basic sound bars. I was so impressed by the AMAZING SOUND coming from this (comparatively) small bar. Such a good value! (Esp if you can get it open box or on sale.) Super easy setup, even the most tech challenged can do it in minutes! A few of the best features.... Has Airplay Can stream ANY audio to it (not just TV audio) Can control it via Alexa Can control it w/your existing TV remote Has Trueplay (which allows one to maximize the best possible sound for the room/space it's in. Though fyi- via iOS only, )

This is our 4th Beam. We love the ease of connecting, the easy to use app, and the quality of sound. Paired the Beam with a Sub Mini in a bedroom for incredible sound. All our sound systems are Sonos (Arc, 4th Gen Sub, 2 Era 300s in main room, 2 Era 100s in kitchen, 2 amps 2 Beams downstairs for outdoor entertainment). Love how we can combine all to play same audio or zone each to different sources. If you are in the Webster / Clear Lake / League City Texas area, go to the Webster store and ask for Justin. He is great and will hook you up!

I was worried after reading some reviews that cautioned about the Sonos app not working/causing confusion. However, I had no such problems when I setup my soundbar; in fact, I was surprised at how straightforward and easy it was, especially once I understood that I could use either my phone as the remote from the SONOS app I downloaded or my existing remote.

This is an excellent speaker, the sound is crystal clear and it gets loud if you need it too! Very easy to set up. I would recommend them, they are expensive though. So we were talked into buying an “open box” one. Well it worked great for about 24 days then it totally went out. Called Sonos customer support because everything I was doing that the app recommended wasn’t working even doing a factory reset. The speaker wouldn’t even do a factory reset. So customer support tried having me do a factory reset also, I told him I already tried two times before talking to him but I’d try again. But to no avail nothing would bring the speaker back to life. So Sonos is sending me a replacement Beam Gen 2. He said it may be refurbished or it may be a brand new one, he could say. Hopefully I have better luck with the replacement speaker! I know this is a good brand so hopefully I just got a dud the first time.

I have been thru several sound bars looking for the best one. I bought a Sony that was okay and moved it too my children's tv after I purchased the Sonos to try on my tv. I love the sound quality on audio and music! it is Top Notch! You will eventually wish you had a sub woofer- that I have been told you can easily add afterwards. But in the mean time (as I have no more money to spend, I have children) The Sonos Beam as a stand alone without a subwoofer outperforms the Sony with a sub for clarity and great overall depth of sound. I would highly recommend it! Set up was easier than any other sound bar I have purchased and paired with my Sony Tv really well. Other sound bars I tried (samsung and LG) did Not pair with my Sony and geek squad took them back and gave me the Sony sound bar that worked with the Sony tv. Morale of the story is that you need to either buy the same name brand sound bar as your tv to get it to work or by a SONOS!
