Customers are saying

Customers value the Beam (Gen 2) 5.0 Channel Smart Soundbar with Dolby Atmos for its unmatched sound quality, ease of use, and simple setup. The soundbar's compact size, impressive bass, and Dolby Atmos capabilities are also appreciated. However, some customers have reported occasional connectivity issues, and a few find the soundbar to be somewhat expensive and would prefer it to include a physical remote.

Crazy good sound for an affordable price. Recently rewatched the LoTR extended edition and the soundscape blew me away. Easily set up my Samsung TV remote to control the volume of the soundbar so I dont have to rely solely on the Sonos App. No complaints and now I want to add more pieces like a subwoofer to further enhance the output.

This is a beautiful soundbar as soundbars go. Setup and integration was a snap. You definitely need the subwoofer to feel the bass. It make a huge difference (the mini was fine for my purposes). The sound and vocals are crisp and clear. The app is fairly easy to set up and use and allows for a fair amount of customization of the sound. For the room I had this in (a kitchen) I was disappointed with the surround sound and Dolby Atmos sound. I even used the iphone app to customize it for the room. I replaced it with the Bose 600 and 500 bass module. I could hear the difference. Bose is providing a wider sound stage for me. I have found the Bose app and the connection to the TV a bit wonky, troubles I did not have with the Sonos. I do recommend the Sonos, but you need to listen to it in your room.

Great soundbar. Excellent audio. I can clearly hear the dialogues, no subtitles are needed. It is integrated with Alexa.

Better than the original in many ways. It was easier to set up (the original wasn’t hard, but with NFC title his one is even easier) I can’t compare sound as I have it in a very different place than my original. But I do like the sound for both TV and streaming music. It holds its own to a sound bar system that had a wireless sub that it replaced. From my perspective, if you are going to spend the money on an Arc, you really should be looking at a discrete surround system. Otherwise the beam is all you likely need and it’s a lot less expensive

The speaker sounds very good. I cannot believe Sonos does not use bluetooth (only wifi) and this is disappointing. Having to use the Sonos app rather than simply bluetoothing to the speaker to play music is annoying and the app is very clunky and for some reason does not like to play certain songs or stations.

Bought this for our bedroom. Paired it with a 55” Sony Bravia OLED. Setup was easy and their app is amazing. I really love the way you can buy the sound bar and then add other components afterwards without having to purchase everything at one time. Sound is awesome and ability to link it to other Sonos sound bars in my house is also a great feature. Can’t wait to upgrade to an Sonos Arc sound bar in my living room.

I have never had a soundbar before. I bought a new TV. My first TV purchase in 10 years. I have never cared for a fancy TV till I saw the OLEDs. I just love their picture. However, it then seemed silly to not have good soundbar for the TV. You can only have so much sound from a TV. I read about sound bars but nothing replaces going to the store and listening. I was going to buy LG or some 3 channel sound bar. Well I left with the Sonos Beam instead. I certainly paid more than I thought but the sound was amazing for the size. If you love a strong bass then maybe not for you. It is plenty for me. I loved the Arc a bit more but it is also quite a bit more and with Sonos you are going with a system. You can add on to it quite easily and link the sound system throughout your house. You can easily Airdrop and sync everything. I did not think I would care about it until I could do this. It does not have Atmos but it sends sound up still (not as well as the Arc but decent). The App works great and you use it to calibrate your room to your beam. This helps improve sound quality. I know because I forgot to do this first day. If you love an overpowering bass this is not for you. You can add one of their speakers that does this (not a cheap speaker). The Arc also has the bass. The sound is really quite wonderful for its low profile. I am happy with this purchase (even if I spent more than I intended) and will add more speakers in future as it is so easy to connect up and actually find their system to be nice bonus to listening room to room.

Sonos Beam - Great Sound and Easy to Set Up

Purchased this for my 42 inch LCD Roku TV, which had poor sound for voices / speaking. This was easy to set up and the sound is great. Voices are much clearer and I don't have to turn the TV to a high level, just to hear the dialogue correctly. Also sounds great with music. I have this in a medium size bedroom. If you have a very large family room or home theater, this may not have enough power, but certainly give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Great sound from this soundbar. This is my first purchase of a Sonos product and I am impressed. The unit is perfect for a smaller room (11’ x 14’). Good for movies and sports. I recommend the Beam - the Dolby Atmos feature adds a lot of depth. Great product!

The sonos beam is a great soundbar. It looks good and sounds amazing. Easy to setup but unfortunately the app can be a bit laggy. The app allows to control volume but also change EQ settings. The feature i used the most is voice booster to hear people talk in movies. Highly recommend for around $350

I was in need of a sound bar with minimal cords and came across this item. It's good for a medium-sized bedroom. I wish it had more bass but the sound is still clear and nice. I deducted a star because it is expensive. You can get a whole sound bar with side speakers at the price of this one sound bar but as I said I was looking for something with minimal cords so I paid the price. Outside of the cost this sound bar is great and I love that there are other speakers you can connect it to for purchase to customize to whatever sound you're looking for. I also love how easy it was to set-up and connect my tv and phone too. I do think that the ARC is tons better I went into the store and tested it but since I'm in an apartment it would be way too loud. I would recommend this sound bar for apartments or small/medium bedrooms definitely not a living room by itself.
