Big sound - small soundbar
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this on a Black Friday sale to use with my 43" Sony Bravia TV that I have in a small living room. This is my first soundbar and after some research and going to BestBuy to listen to the ones on display, and compare the different Sonos models and also Bose soundbars I decided on the Beam 2. I bought this for a few reasons: the built-in TV speakers were hard to hear people's voices, and I also wanted a better speaker for movies, and a speaker to be able to stream music too. The Beam's sound is a massive upgrade from the Sony built-in TV speakers and ticked all the boxes I was looking for. Even with just the soundbar and no additional speakers, the Beam still gives the sense of surround sound with a wide expansive soundscape, and really crisp dialog and a really layered sound. It feels like a movie theatre quality sound to me, just watched the original John Wick in Dolby Atmos and it sounds incredible. Set-up was simple and I had it setup and paired to my Apple TV 4K in just a few minutes, just had to go into the TV and Apple TV's menus and change them to output sound to an external sound system. The remotes also all work with the Beam. Would definitely recommend.

Great Sound, easy to install
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Install to our LG 4K 65 was real easy , the disappointing thing was that I had to use the Fiber optic adapter because the LG does have a HDMI ARC port, but does have a fiber optic port. Loading the Sonos app was easy and the app found the Sonos sound bar immediately. Walked through the setup, found one issue here too. The LG remote is note compatible with the Sonos Beam. But I can control the volume from the app or with our Amazon Alexa. I had the Beam playing 70 & 80s music from one of the Radio stations listed on the app, sound was awesome. Also found my favorite local sports radio station was on the list. Sound is on the LG TV is much clearer and watching movies and concerts is 10 times better now. I will be adding a subwoofer soon.

Big, Immersive Sound in a Compact Package
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sonos Beam (Gen 2) is an impressive upgrade that delivers rich, immersive sound without taking up much space. Dolby Atmos really adds depth, making movies and shows feel more cinematic, and the dialogue clarity is excellent—even at lower volumes. Setup was quick and seamless through the Sonos app, and the ability to integrate with Alexa/Google Assistant is a nice bonus. It looks sleek, blends perfectly with my TV setup, and easily fills the room with powerful sound. If you want a premium, compact soundbar that brings both music and movies to life, the Beam Gen 2 is a fantastic choice.

Sounds amazing and super easy to set up
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently added the Sonos Beam Gen 2 to my living room setup, and it's been a fantastic upgrade. Right out of the box, the sound quality is impressive—rich, balanced, and immersive, especially for movies and shows with Dolby Atmos. Dialogue is incredibly clear, and it handles music just as well as TV audio. Setup was a breeze. I just connected the HDMI and power cable, opened the Sonos app, and everything synced up in minutes. The Trueplay tuning feature (if you have an iPhone or iPad) makes a real difference in optimizing the sound for your space. It’s compact but doesn’t feel underpowered. The virtual surround sound fills the room nicely, and it integrates seamlessly with other Sonos speakers if you ever want to build a full system. Pros: Clear, immersive sound with Dolby Atmos Compact and sleek design Quick and easy setup with the Sonos app Excellent for both TV and music Things to note: Bass is solid, but you might want to add a sub if you're really into heavy low-end Trueplay tuning only works with iOS devices

Soundbar Upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just switched from the LG SN6Y to the Sonos Beam Gen 2 and I’m honestly blown away. Voices are so much clearer, the surround sound effect feels more immersive even without rear speakers, and setup through the Sonos app was super easy. The soundstage feels wider, and the bass is surprisingly strong for such a compact bar. Plus, the design looks way sleeker in my apartment. Definitely worth the upgrade!

Good deal
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty awsome little speakers. Does everything I need. This high-end soundbar offers excellent sound quality and supports Dolby Atmos. It is also a great choice for those who want a soundbar that can be integrated into a Sonos multi-room audio system. However, it is on the expensive side and does not support DTS:X.

Sonos Has Taken Over and We Ain't Mad About It
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a couple of years of being on the fence about whether to take the plunge on this mostly highly regarded soundbar, a proper open-box find made the expense far less difficult to swallow and, viola! Brought it home, hooked it up (easy-peasy), paired our two Play: 1 speakers as satellites, and did the Trueplay dial-in and, dang! Who needs a sub!? The amount of sound and the depth, range, dimension of sound from movies now is amazing. I've heard some surround sound set-ups before and they do sound pretty wild, this is somehow different. More intimate. This isn't our first time with a soundbar/sub set-up. In fact, we've had three different soundbar/sub setups over the past few years and they were ok. Much better than the tv speakers but only just. Now, small sounds emerge from the left or the right, causing me or my wife some uncertainty thinking the sound is something other than the movie. Honestly, neither of us are that experienced with this multi-speaker set up. However, it has grown on us to the point where we are less likely to think a murderer is in the house now. The turning point for my wife was an afternoon when she was at home by herself (me and the boys out on a weekend getaway) and she dialed up some music and sat and read while tunes bathed her in sonic comfort. She officially became a fan. I, a long-time two channel audio cat, am sold on what the Beam and the two satellite speakers do with movies. It's made watching movies - even movies we've seen many times - more exciting and fun. The music side is pleasant enough - more for the convenience than the actual audio quality. It's faithfulness to audio, or rather, enhancement of song and sound, is a wee bit much for me but I take a sip and relax and get over it. So, in short, after a few more Sonos acquisitions, our house has now become a full-fledged Sonos-fueled house and we are glad about it. Except for my office which is still two-channel British hifi only, thank you. Bravo, Sonos! Your stuff is pricey but, I ain't gonna lie, it's sexy.

Amazing
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looking to upgrade my bedroom soundbar and was always intrigued by Sonos, but quite pricey. I was a bit skeptical on purchase that I would not truly need a woofer, although if this was true, that would be great. Less crap on the floor. And as it turns out, I didn't!. In fact, that would have been to much. The best way to describe the bass is high end headphone bass. It will not, NOT shake your room. But it will be an amazingly great balanced tone. So being that is the whole debate on Sonos, I will just fill in the normals. Sound quality is rich and nuanced. Dialogue is super easy to hear clearly, but does not sound tinny. The app is killer, it has an eq and you can use this as a very easy Alexa or Siri. It is small but powerful. Buy it if you are reading this, you will be thrilled with the direction that soundbars are going. In conclusion, remember when everyone was buying 18 inch woofers for their car so you could get bass? And now that seems lame since you can get a balanced sound with a smart setup? Then this is the adult soundbar for you

Exceptional speaker at an affordable price.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredible sound bar for a great price! Night mode and voice enhancement work extremely well. Good bass considering no subwoofer. Atmos works well without additional speakers. Obviously, you can add rear surrounds and a mini sub woofer, but not needed unless you like to shake the walls with booming sound (I hate that).

A Noce First Step on Sonos Journey
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my Beam 2! I originally purchased it for voice clarity because my hubby like to turn the volume WAY UP when we watch TV. It made a big difference in the volume he required and the bonus is that I have the app on my phone and if he turns the TV up too loud for me, I can tap it down to a reasonable level while staying under the radar. Of course this was the first step on starting to put a Sonos system together! Once I saw how nice music sounded on the Beam, I added a mini sub and then a couple of Era 100s for a nice surround system. I’m already planning to add a few more pieces to push music around the house. I wish it were a bit let pricey, but I love it. Another plus is that is easy to set up and configure.

It was easy to unpack and install. The sound quality is fantastic! It really generates a significant amount of sound power, so cranking it up is not necessary, unlike with other soundbars we've owned. It's a very versatile soundbar that can be easily added to with a subwoofer and surround sound speakers.
