This has to be the worst technology experience I’ve had in years from a company that has made easy setup their identity. I bought a Beam 2 this evening as a simpler solution than setting up my 5.1 in a new house. After connecting the Beam to the Sonos app, all looked fine. I was prompted with a request to update the Beam, did so, and had the app crash and update fail. I then tried to open the Sonos app again, and received the message “Sign in as the System Owner”. I AM the system owner. Backing out and restarting the app created an endless login loop. I then hard reset the Beam, deleted my account and app, downloaded the app again and created a new account. Got the Beam connected, and failed again during update with a second error message. The only solution I can find online is to hard connect it to my router, but that is two floors away which defeats the entire point of buying for convenience. Extremely disappointed after the promises of easy setup and convenience.

This speaker is really great. Simple to install and set up. But best of all, it sounds amazing. I have this installed on my bedroom TV so the space isn't in as large as my TV room.

Amazing sound and great differentiation of lower bass noises and higher sounds. We synced it with our other Sonos product and it plays musically layered songs with perfect tone. Highly recommended!

Great sound, works well to play music and with my tv. Really adds a boost to my living room. Also works seamlessly with other Sonos devices.

Wow. Just wow. In a smaller room you don't even need a sub. This thing throws sound highs and lows. I wasn't sure what to expect but I doubt I'll try any other brand after this. Setup was plug and play, super easy. The app is extremely easy to use. Recommend 100%

We took the Sonos plunge 4 years ago, starting with the OG Beam in the master bedroom. An Arc, Sub 3, OneSLs, and a Ray followed. Our oldest has an older TV with dime-size speakers. Awful sound, especially for movies. So, they got the Beam 2 (resisted the urge to swap for our OG model!) for Christmas, and the reviews are in; “wonderful, even at default settings” and “now we can actually HEAR what we are watching” Helped with setup…took 5 minutes. And it does sound SO much better than TV speakers. Sonos for the win.

I would expect more power, and bought it to make surrounding connections to Sonos 1 but disappointing

Purchased this on a Black Friday sale to use with my 43" Sony Bravia TV that I have in a small living room. This is my first soundbar and after some research and going to BestBuy to listen to the ones on display, and compare the different Sonos models and also Bose soundbars I decided on the Beam 2. I bought this for a few reasons: the built-in TV speakers were hard to hear people's voices, and I also wanted a better speaker for movies, and a speaker to be able to stream music too. The Beam's sound is a massive upgrade from the Sony built-in TV speakers and ticked all the boxes I was looking for. Even with just the soundbar and no additional speakers, the Beam still gives the sense of surround sound with a wide expansive soundscape, and really crisp dialog and a really layered sound. It feels like a movie theatre quality sound to me, just watched the original John Wick in Dolby Atmos and it sounds incredible. Set-up was simple and I had it setup and paired to my Apple TV 4K in just a few minutes, just had to go into the TV and Apple TV's menus and change them to output sound to an external sound system. The remotes also all work with the Beam. Would definitely recommend.

Better than could possibly hope for. Simple setup amazing technology

Install to our LG 4K 65 was real easy , the disappointing thing was that I had to use the Fiber optic adapter because the LG does have a HDMI ARC port, but does have a fiber optic port. Loading the Sonos app was easy and the app found the Sonos sound bar immediately. Walked through the setup, found one issue here too. The LG remote is note compatible with the Sonos Beam. But I can control the volume from the app or with our Amazon Alexa. I had the Beam playing 70 & 80s music from one of the Radio stations listed on the app, sound was awesome. Also found my favorite local sports radio station was on the list. Sound is on the LG TV is much clearer and watching movies and concerts is 10 times better now. I will be adding a subwoofer soon.

The Sonos Beam (Gen 2) is an impressive upgrade that delivers rich, immersive sound without taking up much space.
