After reading the reviews, decided to pick one up for the a larger living room with a large open concept vault to the 2nd floor. In a smaller room this sounds pretty good but in a large room like this it's just too much for it to handle. Without the walls/ceilings to help the acoustics the upper registers are mellowed at best, the low end isn't even there. The midrange overall is ok and it can project decently into the other room (50'+ away) but is mellowed out. Given the size of room, if you only need something that can present dialog cleanly, go for it. Otherwise, it's a hard pass for large rooms. Some may say, get the sub and some wireless sat. speakers but at that price range there are better alternatives.

Only negative is it takes like 30 seconds to turn on once tv is on

It’s okay. It worked well initially but the quality of sound seems to have gotten worse over the course of the past few months. I can’t explain it. I don’t blast the volume and rarely use this product, but it’s not appealing any more.

I updated to the gen 2 beam and I can better hear the audio vocals. Great audio overall!

The Sonos sound bar is excellent. It really enhances the sound on my Sony Bravia TV.
