    A much better speaker than what is in the TV but it isn't always very clear, especially for conversations and softer speech. I am also a little disappointed it does not produce much of a surround sound effect. It's a good solid front speaker but does not do the proper work of separate speakers for L/R channels, a separate subwoofer, and tweeters. Oh, and don't buy from Best Buy online! They lied, wasted a full day of the holidays, and left me furious. Soon enough Best Buy will go the way of Circuit City.

    This is my first sound bar and I'm amazed at the clarity it provides. I went with Sonos because I have a couple of other Sonos speakers in my home. The difference in the television sound and the sound bar is unbelievable. Being in my 70's I thought it was my hearing that made it difficult at times to hear the tv clearly, but after getting the sound bar I realize it wasn't my hearing. Love it.

    Sonos destroyed a good product

    I’ve had an Arc and Beam for a little over a year now. Sonos did a massive change to their app which controls the device and now the products have audio connectivity issues. To fix this, I must re-pair everything which takes time. The sound is excellent when it works. I suggest Bose until Sonos fixes this mess.

      It’s frustrating when app updates disrupt the functionality of your devices. Here’s a step-by-step guide to address the connectivity issues with your Sonos Beam Gen 2 and Arc:

      Reboot Devices: Start by rebooting your Sonos Beam, Arc, and any other related devices (router, phone/tablet). Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.

      Update Firmware: Ensure all your Sonos devices and the Sonos app are updated to the latest firmware and software versions. Updates often fix bugs and improve performance.

      Reconfigure Network Settings:

      Check Wi-Fi: Make sure your Wi-Fi network is stable and the signal strength is strong where your Sonos devices are located.
      Network Band: If possible, connect your Sonos devices to a 5 GHz network rather than 2.4 GHz, as it can offer better performance.
      Re-pair Devices: If re-pairing is necessary:

      Unpair and Reset: Remove the Beam and Arc from the Sonos app, then perform a factory reset on each device (usually done by holding down the connect button until the LED flashes orange and white).

    Sonos makes excellent products. Their music and audio systems stand the test of time. They are outperforming Bose systems in my opinion about 10 to 1.

    Made a mistake when I bought this item. Too complicated for my application and outdated equipment. I was looking for a soundbar that I could connect to the tv and then run it with a remote or using controls on the sound bar--something very simple. However, the installation required a network and cell phone in addition to the tv and soundbar. I never ever got this to work as the network connection could never completed (sound bar wouldn't recognize the network) even though we had other items running off of the network. I was unable to install this devise. However, my nephew who is very tech savy came to the house and after spending a full hour of trying things he did finally connect the soundbar to the tv. However, he had to use the digital optical port on the tv because although the tv that the soundbar was connected to had an ARC HDMI port it did not work with soundbar hence we had to use the adapter provided and the digital optical port. However, the sound quality was underwhelming and unsatisfactory. Couldn't really raise much volume. Hence I returned the sound bar for a refund. If you buy this sound bar make sure that your tv is up to date, and you understand the installation instructions completely.

    Easy hook up with HDMI. I just bought the floor model for 1/2 the price and it blows everything away. Seemless hook up to everything bluetooth as well
