    Very Pleased with This

I bought this as an upgrade to my home theater. I previously had a PLAYBASE as a receiver, but the Beam's Dolby Atmos capability really attracted me...and boy, does it deliver on its promise (be sure, though, that you do the Trueplay tuning BEFORE you start diving into any content.) Setup was a cinch, and within 15 minutes I was up and running. Since incorporating the Beam the sound quality has improved tenfold, even on the ONEs and the SUB, and there's an unbelievably immersive experience when watching films that support Atmos capabilities. I highly recommend this product to anyone wanting to experience a quality product that also generates high-quality sound.

The moment I installed the new Sonos sound bar my ears went on a journey I'd only experienced in a movie theater. Music and voices came alive and and felt totally integrated with the action on the TV screen. But it did't stop there, it also seems to enhanced the quality of the colors and tones coming out of the TV. I had to pause and pat myself on the back for my choice!

The Sonic Beam Gen2 has a great sound, and the bass is better than expected. I don’t really notice a big jump with the addition of Dolby Atmos, but the sound is true and accurate. The setup was quick and easy, and the control through the Sonos app is excellent.

Easy to set up…really easy. Almost plug and play. Sound is good. Think you may want to add a small sub for deeper bass. If you can manage the additional cost one of the arc sound bars may provide a better experience. .

Bought this with the matching subwoofer for my husband as a gift. He was so happy. Apparently his read about this brand. I had no idea. I almost bought a Sony system for him but, the design on this device and the subwoofer were so unique and futuristic looking I loved it for him. Also the sound is phenomenal. He was so excited when I surprised him He was super excited explaining to me that we could purchase more of the Sonos speakers and they would all be in sync. You can continue adding and have sound anywhere on your property. No matter how large your property. I had no idea but that fun fact has me wanting to put more of the Sonos around the house. Is worth the buy. It’s beautiful to look at and to experience.

    Good sound, clunk App

This is a good quality sound bar, with good sound a bass response. Once it was set up, it worked well with our TV connected to an Apple TV. There are a few reasons I didn’t give this unit 5-stars. 1. The set up software was clunky at best. One needs to download an App for a phone or pad of either variety to access the setup software. I have some experience working with confused Apps, but I don’t think my wife would have managed to figure out how to set it up. Luckily, once the setup and connection are complete, the App is really not needed. 2. As the unit goes to “sleep” after use, so there is a small delay in response before the audio starts. Start a video, and the first few moments of audio are lost until it wakes up. I expect that I could force it awake using the App, but it seems pretty daft to need to have my iPhone around to run an app so I can listen to a video on my TV. 3. The inputs are limited. I realize that a more expensive Sonos model would offer additional input methods. Just saying this unit has limited inputs. Ultimately we have learned to live with these issues and do enjoy the audio. Since it mostly works automatically, it is a LOT better than the previous sound system I had, which was a stereo receiver. Using that system required way too many steps to get things working. So it is recommended.

Sonos Beam (Gen 2) - A Very Satisfied Customer.

We were looking for a soundbar for our living room TV. The advisor showed us the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) with Dolby Atmos. The difference in the sound quality of the Sonos Beam compared to that of the less expensive brands was immediately apparent. The dialog was much clearer at all volume levels, and the features available on the Sonos Beam far outclassed those of the other sound bars we previewed. The Sonos Beam is a bit more expensive than other sound bars, but in this instance, the additional cost is well worth it. You won't be disappointed in this quality addition to your entertainment center. We were so pleased with the performance we later purchased a Sonos wireless speaker to complement the Sonos Beam.

Sonos Beam 2,Era 100,Mini Sub System

System installed in an open area family room adjacent to a kitchen and nook area. Family Room 20’x16’. Essentially, plug in, follow intuitive app install instructions & learn the easy to follow instructions to play the system from the TV E-Arc connection & your favorite streaming app. Immersive, high end audio experience. Buy bigger & more expensive if you want to. I took the minimalist approach for the white decor, size & decor. The appearance & audio experience not only met my expectations, but far exceeded them. I tried the Era 300 for the room size. The speaker footprint looked out of place and the audio was overkill for what I wanted for this room. Of Note: I use the Era 100 as surround sound speakers. You can adjust the audio level for music and TV in the surround audio setting. Go to the sound section for all the audio settings & have at it to your liking. Lots of questions about the Beam E-Arc cable to the TV (me: LGC1 65”) cutting out the use of Bluetooth headphones (For me: AirPod Max) connected to the TV. My solution: from the Beam, connect the male end of the hdmi cable, not to the E-Arc port of the TV, but to a 2nd hdmi cable that is female on one end and male on the other. Get the length of your choice. Plug the male end into the TV E-Arc port. I taped the cord mid level on the back left side of the TV with plenty of length & slack on the female end. Insert the beam male end into the female end and subsequently received immediate Sonos Beam connectivity using the TV & music app. With the TV in the off position, I reach around inches to the rear left side of the TV, pull on the connected hdmi cords & disconnect them. The cords remain within inches of each other for later reconnection. With the E-Arc cable unplugged, the TV resorts to its audio and bluetooth settings. This allows me to watch movies after hours, using the bluetooth headphones. After movie watching, I turn off the TV, take 10 seconds to reconnect the cables and I’m back online with the Sonos system. Remember, it’s TV E-Arc enabled devices sending audio over an hdmi cable to home theatre sound systems (ie Sonos systems.) Hope this is helpful for someone out there.

    NOGO'S FOR SONOS!

I was impressed with the overall sound but it was a bit pricey $$$. Upon setting up the device i realized there's no on/off button nor a physical remote control, i had to use my phone as a remote which is a pain especially when you'd like to put the phone away, chill and watch a movie. The very next day the device didn't recognize that it was connected to my television, so i called tech support and they told me it was a bad HDMI cord. WRONG! The device suddenly started to play after a few hours, so id say that is definitely a connectivity issue. I was also told you could pair the device with your smart tv w/o a HDMI or optical cord. WRONG AGAIN!! It does not do what other soundbars do in this price range. WEIRD! After all these things happened I was no longer feeling it. IT'S A NOGO'S FOR SONOS

Great sound from this soundbar. This is my first purchase of a Sonos product and I am impressed. The unit is perfect for a smaller room (11’ x 14’). Good for movies and sports. I recommend the Beam - the Dolby Atmos feature adds a lot of depth. Great product!

The Sonos Beam Gen 2 completely transformed my TV setup. The sound is clear, the dialogue is sharper, and Dolby Atmos really makes movies feel more immersive without needing a full surround system. Setup was quick using the Sonos app, and it connected to my TV with no issues. I also love how easily it integrates with Spotify and Apple Music. For its size, the amount of power and clarity this soundbar produces is impressive. Definitely one of the best upgrades I’ve made to my living room.

For what it is, it is fantastic. If you’re looking for a small low profile sound bar that actually sounds great, this is the one. It truly is small, barely takes up any space, and sounds amazing. I love the connectivity to my phone also, nice touch to mess with the EQ and what not if you needed to right from your phone. Overall, very happy. Especially for my small game room.

Made this purchase for the form factor but remain blown away by how crisp the sound is. Big surprise was how well the lows are handled (so much so that I decided to return the mini subwoofer because it was too intense my space). The setup is really interesting and I can see it frustrating some less patient folks, but I enjoy the app very much. Awesome addition to any small, simple home theater setup.

The Beam 2 was very easy to setup and the TV and streaming music sound in our living room is now amazing! We have an LG 4K TV that seamlessly integrated into the Beam 2 and our CATV provider. The only issue is we haven't figured out how to get the volume level to appear back on the TV screen when we adjust it. Full disclosure, we already had owned a Sonos Amp which was driving a pair of (non-Sonos) indoor ceilling speakers in our living room, but only for streaming audio services via our cell phones (no TV connection). So we purchased the Beam 2 to integrate with Amp and those spreakers, as rear surround sound speakers, and after a couple of tried, we got it to work, and it's amazing.

Sonos Beam (Gen 2) is a good mid-range soundbar for small to medium-sized rooms. It’s not bulky and setup is very simple. It is perfect for my 55-inch TV and will consider adding the Sonos Sub Mini in the near future.
