    Sonos beam

    Sound great but there is an issue with the sound on the 4k Apple TV. Need to switch sound settings on the Apple TV to 5.1 stereo instead on leaving it on Dolby atmos for some of the tv shows or movies.

    DO NOT BUY! My company, which supports IT, computer systems, etc. was hired to install this for a home user client of mine. Was an absolute night mare! after over 90 minutes if setup time and updates, the system would work if it wanted to. Very unreliable, painful setup. Not a dependable unit. After calling Sonos tech support, we reset units and reinstalled and then was a new problem. We boxed it up to return to bestbuy as this is the worst system my company and I have ever touched!

    This product is great…when it works. Sonos connectivity issues are rampant and their new app is beyond awful. I spend 20 minutes trying to get my system to work every time I want to play music. Beyond frustrating. I would not recommend Sonos to anyone.

    Poor customer service and quality

    Purchased 16 months ago worked well then randomly would not connect to anything. Tried resetting several times and called customer support and followed hard reset instructions. When everything failed they wanted me to send back the equipment and give me a 30% discount code for a new purchase. The sound bar did not last 2 years and they want it returned so they can refurbish and sell again while only giving me 30% off to buy another one of their products that will only last 16 months? I would not recommend Sonos.

    Its a very good system, WHEN IT WORKS. Have had this combined with Sonos Sub Mini for 5 days and have had to unplug devices 3 times already as it seems as if the Samsung S90C and Sonos do not jive. At this price point these systems should work without issue. On with support right now, but this $1,000 purchase will be returned if it cant be resolved.

    Plugged it in and it worked great for about 45 min, it cut out and wouldnt come back on. You hit the power button and it tries to come on but the light goes red and does nothing.

    Worked for 3 months. Then my Sony A80J could not connect to it. Message was system unavailable. Best Buy Techs were great tried to solve the problem. Two separate visits by two different techs and over 2 hours of trouble shooting and the problem was not resolved. They even brought a new unit to try and nothing. In my opinion and from my experience with Sonos support and the Sonos Beam Gen 2 ,it really is an inferior product in comparison to some of the other options available to you.

    sat for hours trying to get it connect to the router and nothing, looked up fixes on google and nothing worked. I was excited to add this to my setup but it won't work unless hooked to an internet source and will not buy their products no more

    Not good sound - bass is too high, and I had to turn it down to zero. The rest of the audio is distorted, as though it were coming through a plastic tube. No dice with this one.

We would recommend checking the tv audio codec output in the sound settings of your tv to ensure we're getting the proper audio codec and sound is being sent properly to the Beam.     The Alexa does not work and every so often the sounds just turns into a rapid beeping and you have to rest it.

    3 mo out, the speaker keeps cutting out. Had to unplug/plug everything back on. Continues more frequently now. Manuf offers no solution or replacement. BB won't help.

      Hello, While most TVs are compatible with Sonos home theater speakers, some may need additional configuration or may not work with Sonos. Here are some basic requirements when using Sonos speakers with your TV.

      If you do not see some of the ports of menu options mentioned below, consult your TV or external source device’s manual or manufacturer support for help.

      TV requirements
      The Beam requires a TV with an HDMI ARC port in order to utilize CEC, Amazon Alexa, or Google Assistant to control your TV. If your TV does not have an HDMI ARC port, you can Beam to a digital optical audio output using the optical audio adapter (only included with Arc and Beam). You will not be able to control your TV using CEC or voice when using the optical connection. If you encounter issues related to HDMI ARC during setup, see our article about troubleshooting HDMI ARC errors at support.sonos.com.
