Great sound bar. I wanted the arc for our RV too but I chose the beam! We currently have an array of Sonos products throughout the house and our business. The beam is outstanding especially when it comes down to space savings. It offers similar performance as the arc but in a smaller package.

I have never had a soundbar before. I bought a new TV. My first TV purchase in 10 years. I have never cared for a fancy TV till I saw the OLEDs. I just love their picture. However, it then seemed silly to not have good soundbar for the TV. You can only have so much sound from a TV. I read about sound bars but nothing replaces going to the store and listening. I was going to buy LG or some 3 channel sound bar. Well I left with the Sonos Beam instead. I certainly paid more than I thought but the sound was amazing for the size. If you love a strong bass then maybe not for you. It is plenty for me. I loved the Arc a bit more but it is also quite a bit more and with Sonos you are going with a system. You can add on to it quite easily and link the sound system throughout your house. You can easily Airdrop and sync everything. I did not think I would care about it until I could do this. It does not have Atmos but it sends sound up still (not as well as the Arc but decent). The App works great and you use it to calibrate your room to your beam. This helps improve sound quality. I know because I forgot to do this first day. If you love an overpowering bass this is not for you. You can add one of their speakers that does this (not a cheap speaker). The Arc also has the bass. The sound is really quite wonderful for its low profile. I am happy with this purchase (even if I spent more than I intended) and will add more speakers in future as it is so easy to connect up and actually find their system to be nice bonus to listening room to room.

Purchased this, a sub and two surrounds for the upstairs TV room. We have an arc downstairs and I was surprised at the output of this little guy. Not quite as good as the ark but absolutely amazing

The Sonos Beam is excellent. The sound quality is amazing to the point where we are not using our close caption option due to the clarity of the sound. Also, the customer service person assisting us in the sale was very knowledgeable and helped our family with the purchase. Allen

This sound bar replaced a Bose TV speaker and has outshined the Bose in all meaningful categories. Dialogue is much better.

Amazingly large sound from a compact bar. This things rocks. I have a Sonos arc and this is the arc in a smaller package. Wide wonderful sound stage clear and crisp dialogue. Even produce god bass without a sub, but when you add a sub this thing comes to life. Loud enough to fill a good size room. Competes with much higher and mote expensive sound bars for sure. Sonos works magic.

The Sonos beam really highlighted how flimsy my tvs speakers were before. I’ve noticed a big difference in the fullness of sound for movies.

The set up was actually a bit of a nuisance, and I'm not sure if that was due to how everything else on my end was already set up, or if the app and general software are just a bit finicky and confusing. However, once that initial hurdle was passed, I quickly fell in love with the sonos beam. Using it is easy peasy. The sound is great. It's full and brings any movie/show and song to life. The materials are good quality, and somehow it even looks sort of nice sitting on our media console. This has been an absolute game changer and I can't wait to add to it as time goes on.

Have owned the Sonos Beam for a couple months now and I never heard such crisp and deep spunds and bass from any of my past sound bars. I’ve owned the Bose, LG, Vizio, and others but the Sonos takes the cake for quality. Well worth the money, their app is easy to manage on my phone, pc, and tablets. Can’t wait to add more Sonos products to the home theater experience.

By far the best sound bar for an affordable price. Reviewed and listened to different products for weeks to test before we bought, and this product (paired with the subwoofer mini!) was far ahead of the others. Great price, room filling sound of high quality. Easy to set up with the app and pair to my tv, and we also love using it to play music while hanging around our house!

Doesn’t play well with an Alexa smart home

Starting with the positives and then working my way to the worst… Fit and finish is great. Very minimalistic. Easy setup as a sound bar. Good sound for a medium or small room, but have to crank it up for a 23x25 room. Has a couple weird quirks with volume control. One is that it reduces sound back to zero when pausing streaming TV and slowly builds it up when you resume play so you miss a couple seconds of audio when you resume. Second is that certain streaming services like HBO had great volume disparity with others. My old surround sound receiver would need a volume adjustment but at a smaller degree. 35 needed 42 for the same level between other streaming services and HBO. This is 45-68 on my setup with the Beam. The worst feature is Alexa. It works great as a stand-alone Alexa decide but integration with an Alexa enabled smart home is useless. I had Alexa decided in every room that would play everywhere or downstairs as a group. The Beam shows up as a Sonos integration but cannot be grouped for multi room use through Alexa. So it was either my kitchen and dining room Alexa speakers or the living room. Selecting one would disqualify the others. Completely useless. Tons of negative reviews in the Sonos skill in the Alexa app that you might want to check if you are thinking of integrating into an Alexa home. If I had to guess it is because Sonos only wants you to use Sonos speakers in each room to have a speaker group, and not be able to intermix with other manufacturers. If you don’t use Alexa or can afford to outfit your entire home with Sonos then this is still probably a good product. I cannot speak for Google Assistant use at all. I have an Alexa centric smart home with about 50 devices for frame of reference.

Hi, and thank you very much for taking the time to write a review! We're sorry for the experience you're having with your Beam. In regards to the volume slowly turning up after pause, this is because of the way some tv's pass audio through HDMI. There may be a setting within your tv that allows you to change this, as that's not a native feature built into Beam. As far as the audio increments, it's possible that the tv is what control that as well, however to be sure we would love it if you'd consider reaching out to us as we offer lifetime support on our products. If you head to sonos.com/support you can contact us whichever way you prefer. - Amazon issues are usually caused by an account discrepancy between our app and the Alexa app, however grouping Amazon speakers with ours is not possible as we use proprietary technology to ensure a strong signal and low latency. We hope that we can work with you to make amends in the areas you feel we fall short. john.milton

The Sonos Beam Gen 2 is just what we needed to get better sound from our tv shows and movies. We previously had surround sound equipment set up but it all was just a bit much for our small living room. The Sonos Beam won’t take the place of a complete setup but it won’t disappoint either if you are looking for minimal equipment with great sound. If that is what you are looking for this sound bar won’t disappoint!.

Got this as a house warming gift, and they couldn't be happier. Big, balanced sound without distortion or crackles, even at high volume. Setup was quick and easy. Surprisingly, having no dedicated remote is actually a plus as there's one less device to keep track of; just use the HDMI ARC port and your TV remote can control it. Great device and great value all around!

Amazing sound out of this little bar. I was overly surprised at how great it sounds in our large living room. Super easy to set up and I loved how the true sound feature works for an open room. Definitely don't pass on this one. The sub woofer mini made it even BETTER!

If you're looking for a stand alone home theater solution that doesn't break the bank, well here you go. Bass was surprisingly powerful and rumbly, while also doing a great job at an immersive presentation of sounds coming from all directions. This exceeded ALL of my expectations! Keep in mind, if you want a hardcore home theater setup for a large space, you'll need more than this. That bein said, for a standard sized living room and an all-in-one solution, this leaves nothing to be desired (for most). Going from stock TV to this, will absolutely change your experience 1000%.
