This Sonos soundbar was recommended for my new LG tv. It has a huge theater sound built in a small sleak design.

Not bad for the cost and definitely an upgrade compared to your standard TV speakers, but don’t expect a surround sound-like experience. I knew what I was getting when I bought the Sonos beam (and the limitations of a soundbar system) but I was ok with that as long as the cost was minimal. I found this Sonos Beam on sale (open-box) at my local Best Buy so I decided to go for it. First off, the Sonos app on iOS is not bad actually. As an iOS app developer this was important to me since 90% of hardware manufacturers have laughably bad apps. Once installed the Sonos beam did exactly what I was hoping for which was to provide higher quality audio, clearer dialogue, and a higher volume range without distortion. This is about as much as you can expect from a soundbar since you won’t be getting surround sound or crazy deep bass. With those expectations in mind you’ll be satisfied with what the Sonos Beam offers and IMO it provides the best overall experience (for a soundbar in this price range) compared to other offerings in the market.

After reading numerous reviews on the Best Buy site I purchased a Sony XR X90J 55” from Best Buy. I had already determined I would want to buy a sound bar based on those same reviews. Very few tvs have great sound because most are thin and have down firing speakers. I determined the best choice for my set was the Sonos beam 2 because of it’s size, sound, and ease of connection and operation. I have found it to be a huge difference and would recommend it to those looking for a better sound experience.

Bose has always been my go-to for speaker systems, particularly for home entertainment. I bought the Bose comparison to the Sonos Beam but it was a no-brainer in the comparison of sound, quality, and price. It's extremely easy to set up and takes less than 10 minutes and you can tell an immediate difference and for the price you can't beat the product. If you wanted to spend $1200 for the top-of-the-line Bose system then you are in for a real treat and I must admit it blows this Sonos system away but remember do you want to spend that much and do you want to listen to regular tv as if you were at a movie theater watching a action-packed film. Bose top-of-the-line would be perfect for a home theater but for quality sound that's crisp and clear and enhances your daily TV shows and sounds just as good with your music which I use at all my outdoor functions and everyone loves it. The cheaper version of the Sonos is not worth it. You must splurge to get the desired quality you and all your guests will love.

Good sound quality for the price. If connection to TV is light the sound control operation is only with the app. No universal remote is available.

I had been wanting to dip my toes into the world of Sonos products for a while and I'm very glad that I started with this one. My TV was producing more bass than it could handle by itself causing a rumbling sound, so I opted to get the Beam soundbar to remedy this. Sound is now clear and crisp and the low end is handled amazingly.

Alright, maybe I should have purchased the Arc. But this sounds leaps and bounds better than the TV speakers and the sound bar I had previously. Sonos has been going through a rough patch lately, but they're coming back and are the only game when it comes to seamless, wireless sound systems. Pair this with the Sub Mini for best results.

I use this for a bedroom TV and two Sonos Ones for surround sound. Love the plug and play ease of use on my Sony TV. An easy recommendation to anybody looking for a soundbar for a bedroom or office. Even a nice unit for a main living area considering the sound and price.

I purchased a new television this holiday season. I had never had a sound bar before. My previous tv had decent sound.... so I thought. But when I plugged the Sonos Beam into my new TV and heard the difference between tv speakers and the sound bar, I was blown away. It was like a symphony of sound. Regardless of whether I'm watching the news at a normal room sound, or a movie at a little louder sound, or listening to music at an even louder sound, the Sonos delivers. Voices are clear and kept up front so they don't muffle into the background. The background sounds are crisp and clear, and music sounds divine. It's like being at a concert. The Sonos has the power to fill my entire living room with absolute bliss. If you want to be pampered in a bubble of sound, buy the Sonos Beam (Gen 2). You won't be disappointed.

I enjoy listening to music and don’t qualify as an audioholic. Having that out of the way, Sonos does not disappoint with this budget offering (so called). I needed something for my loft TV without the mess of wires. This does a great job of rendering the movie soundtrack and it’s pleasantly clear with enough low end. It can be enhanced with a sub woofer for that thundering bass. I listen to lot of music, and it excels on musicality.

It's amazing the sound that comes out of this small package. I was concerned that it would lack low end and the need to purchase a sub in the near future a must, but the Beam delivers. It sounds great using a pair of Ones as surrounds. I may add a sub when Sonos releases the sub mini at an affordable price but until then I'm more than satisfied with the quality of sound. Make sure you connect it to the HDMI-ARC port on your TV and control the volume with your TV remote. Simple setup!

Great sound. Works in concert with my Sonos bluetooth speakers.

Tried 2 other good brands that were high priced and offered a sub for about the same cost as just this bar. The experience was not the same. The Sonos Beam Gen 2 blew away the two other brands that came with subs. My 2nd favorite part behind the sound quality is the user experience. So easy to use. Try to pick one up on the rare semiannual sale

Great sound and extremely easy hookup . This small speaker packs a punch. I already got a complaint to turn the bass down from my next door neighbor and I don’t even have a bass speaker hooked up!

If you're looking to upgrade from the small built-in TV speakers, this is a solid choice. What's great is you can continue adding Sonos speakers and subs to the system. Great sound for a smaller bar.
