Customers are saying

Customers value the Beam (Gen 2) 5.0 Channel Smart Soundbar with Dolby Atmos for its unmatched sound quality, ease of use, and simple setup. The soundbar's compact size, impressive bass, and Dolby Atmos capabilities are also appreciated. However, some customers have reported occasional connectivity issues, and a few find the soundbar to be somewhat expensive and would prefer it to include a physical remote.

I like it very much. This is def good for smaller rooms. It’s plenty loud enough, especially when paired with the 300’s and mini sub!!! Super easy to setup! Just to be clear, this does NOT produce Dolby Atmos sound, rather it can read atmos codec… so you’re not getting upward firing sound just to be clear.

Got the beam Gen 2 based on geek squad recommendation when they installed my newly purchased TV. They added a soundbar mount that would fit it. When i got it, the ports for the screws to go in was .5 inches too short. So either I remove the TV from the wall to remove the soundbar mount that was installed, or just get a bigger soundbar. Spent an extra $250 and let me say it was worth every penny. I have an open concept home, the sound is clear, loud and sounds amazing.

This is an excellent sound bar! The sound is amazing for being so compact. I don't know how well it would fill up a large room, but for a small apartment its all you need. Was also really impressed with the amount of bass! Its all you need without breaking the bank!

The second gen is a great alternative to the Arc for smaller rooms. The virtual sound algorithm gives a roomier feel of the sound overall. I have it paired with two ONE SLs in a 19'x17'x9' room and it is great! highly recommend, especially if you can get a good deal.

I originally bought a Bose sound bar thinking that it would be better, I was wrong this sound bar is the best sounding sound bar that I've heard. We watch a lot of movies and let me tell you this product will not disappoint.

This soundbar is excellent and really transforms the sound quality for movies. My only criticism is that it would be nice to have a remote still, so that my family could operate it easily when they pet sit/house watch. They barely know how to navigate to Netflix so getting them to download the app is a struggle.

Love love loveee!!! If you’re considering a soundbar please just get this one. Sonos app is amazing and honestly so easy to use. I would recommend this brand for quality and ease of use in comparison to other brands out there. The sound is amazing and i’ve never had problems with it. Great connectivity as well with all my home devices

Small size but life size sound. I have this hooked up with my Sonos mini sub and 2 sonos 100 eras. Love the clarity and the Dolby atmos sound this little beast creates in my home theater. This can be easily wall mounted too, although I just have it sitting on my console. Highly recommended

I love the design of this sound bar - it is compact and sleek (it fit perfectly on top of my small tv stand and did not hang over the sides). The sound bar also packed quite a punch considering how compact it is. However, I did not like how inconsistent the volume was across various platforms (i.e., devices and games). On one particular video game console, for example, I would have to play one game on a high volume and another game on a very low volume - this involved having to press the volume button on the remote more than 6 times in one direction and the same for the other. This discrepancy was not evident on my previous sound bar. The sound bar also does not indicate the volume number on the bar itself or on the television screen - so, this basically made adjusting the volume a guessing game and I’d find myself startled or underwhelmed when transitioning from one device/game to another. I previously loved having a numbered volume indicator because I knew how high or low I wanted the volume for each situation - for example, “9” on one game and “11” for another. Although you do get a volume indicator when using the Sonos app, it’s inconvenient that you have to boot up an app on your phone and look at your phone to see how high or low you have the volume. Even with the various settings on the sound bar and television adjusted, certain sounds were either too loud or too low and did not make sense within the context of the situation- in one game, for example, dialogue was very low but opening doors/dropping items was very loud; it just seemed unbalanced and the experience was not like that with my prior television/sound bar set up. I have since returned the sound bar and replaced it with one that is the same brand as the television - it has been a much better experience.

We purchased the Sonos Beam, along with the Sonos Mini Sub and two Era speakers. We have a large living room with vaulted ceilings. The sound is better than I thought it would be. You can really tell the difference when watching shows that include Dolby Atmos. Where it really shines is watching sporting events, movies, and concerts. I will say the setup can be tricky. The app was not super intuitive.

Fast shipment and high-quality product. I am aficionado of the best quality sounds at reasonable price. This soundbar it fulfill my expectations for my hobby, a little expensive for my budget but I'd say the company who make it use the best products they have. I was going to buy the less expensive one (same brand) but not complain so far.

Slick form factor that looks great as a sound bar on our entertainment center counter underneath a wall-mounted TV. Good sound quality and range , but not sufficient by itself for really deep pitches - would need a subwoofer for that. Intuitive to set up and to use with the Sonos app. Toggles nicely being streaming music and acting as the sound bar for TV viewing
