let me just say that this sound bar is totally worth it!! but if your wandering if this is going to produce room filling sound because its half the size of the arc it definitely will! its worth a look at because 1 its half the price 2 it sounds amazing and you still have the expandability of adding surrounds and the sub which I have but that will be a different review hahah BUT JUST BUY IT YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!

Out of the box the Beam didn’t work. After fruitless troubleshooting finally swapped out the provided HDMI cable with another I had on hand, which got the system operational. Connected to my TV via HDMI-ARC. Inputs connected to the TV by HDMI cables. Setup with Sub and two Play:1s as surrounds was very easy, but in use I had a couple of problems: major one a frequent, recurring loss of audio-video sync. Switched to the the optical connection from my TV, after which the system operated normally with no sync issues. Since I have a universal remote, I don’t miss ARC; and I don’t use any voice “features.” iPhone App is effective and easy to use. System is installed in open-plan living/dining/kitchen space with vaulted ceilings. Excellent balanced sound with movies and music - plenty of power to fill the room, including deep bass from the Sub. Since setup (one month ago) the system has been completely reliable with no dropouts or other issues. One wish: That I could set up volume control so the Beam volume is fixed and overall output is controlled by the TV digital out (which provides actual on-screen volume indication). If there’s a way to do this I haven’t figured it out. Bottom line: Minimalist system with elegant looks; eliminates most wires. Sound quality very satisfying. Deducted one star for issues discussed above.

I initially purchased the compact Sonos Beam sound bar to replace the sound coming from my 11 year bedroom Sony flat screen television. Setting up the sound bar is very easy with the Sonos app. You have the option of interfacing with your television by using ARC via an HDMI connection or via an optical audio cable connection. The sound is extremely clear and rich. You will not be disappointed with this sound bar.

I first encountered this brand while on a snowboarding trip. The cabin we rented had speakers in multiple rooms setup and the sound was just amazing. Without the sub woofer the bass is a little weak, but for what it is the sound is amazing. Bose doesn't have a thing on Sonos. Also the wifi app control is superb feature. One less remote control to deal with. If you're into loud music or movies this speaker will get the job done. Add the subwoofer if you can afford it though.

Extremely pleased with the sound and overall performance of this Sonos sound bar linked to my Samsung tv and (2) Sonos SL surround speakers... exceeded my expectations as I was able to replace the tiny tv speakers with more base and treble. Movies sound sooooo much better with this new Sonos sound setup Installation was so easy with Sonos phone app I am also able to get connected to Alexa and listen to music Overall an AAA+++ experience

I have heard the Sonos Beam played in store many times, I always thought it sounded good, but I was unsure if it was worth the price. I have been using it for about a week now and I would recommend this to anyone who wants a good 3 channel sound bar with excellent app control. Really, nothing beats it at the price. I have several Sonos speakers and I am in love with it all, the control is excellent and the sound is unmatched at the price as well. Overall 10/10 price for performance

Excellent sound bar. We use it outside for our tv, there is no wall behind the tv (4-5 feet behind the tv is the wall) and the sound is great, including the base. They aren’t cheap, but I purchased an open box so I saved a bit, which was nice. I think Sonos is worth every penny. Only downfall is you can only control the sound bar through the app on your phone/tablet.

Great sound in a good looking package. We have this one connected to the basement TV to enhance TV watching, music, and our experience with the Peleton (which can cast to the TV l, so you get the music and instructions through Sonos that way). It is one of multiple Sonos devices. The brand offers terrific performance, easy set up, and a good workable app. They are pricey, but they are high quality products.

Very nice sound, I love it and got a good price break through Best Buy! But I had issues pairing it up with my Sony Bravia (8 yrs old). The connection was made to the ARC HDMI on the TV but it would not "shake hands" between my Sony TV (older model) and the new Sono sound bar. So I decided to keep the new bar and get myself a new flat screen instead! lol. TV was also a good deal through Best Buy.

I love my Sonos! It’s my best investment yet. With built in Alexa everything is so easy. The sound is so amazing. I also bought the 2 Sonos One, and I have created a home theater system. The plus on this Sonos is that it runs on WIFI, not Bluetooth so as long as your WiFi is good tour Sonos will never give you issues with connection. I love Sonos I will be purchasing more of there product. Great buy, worth every penny!

The Sonos Beam Soundbar works well. It doesn't take up much space and has a nice sound for my open living/dining/kitchen rooms. I have had surround sound previously and while that is great for a theater setting, it isn't as good for a listening experience when watching/listening outside the 'sound zone' of the surround sound system.

Easy set-up right out of the box, sound is really good as well. Just a word of advice, make sure the Beam doesn't cover up the sensor for the TV remote. Had to buy an extender but it was a small price to pay. There also seems to be a slight audio lag from cable tv to the Beam but not terribly noticeable.

Great Little Soundbar for Small Spaces

I’m very pleased with my Sonos Beam soundbar. I’m using it in my bedroom, and it seems adequate for this space. I really love the addition of Alexa, which I use to operate a thermostat, Nest x Yale lock, Philips Hue bulbs, etc. It could use a little more bass, and frankly the fabric cover for the speaker face is sort of cheap, but it looks good enough. It is not the sound quality of my Sonos Play 5, but I still like the fact that I can listen to my favorite tunes and use the Sonos app as a controller for the Beam as well. As a little word of caution- the Achilles heel of WiFi speakers like Sonos is that there are technical problems which you can and will encounter. Sonos has great tech support, but it is not unusual to wait 30-45 mins on hold to speak with a tech. Furthermore, their techs are usually very highly educated regarding this technology, and I’ve found them to often assume you have their level of understanding. It can be a real challenge to get past some of the technical issues that arise, and they are helpful, but you had better have at least more than a basic understanding of what they are talking about, or you will become quickly lost. Lastly, and this is the biggest issue- you are obviously at the mercy of your ISP. If the internet is down, you are not going to be the listening to music. Despite all of this, I’m good with Sonos. I think most of their products are way overpriced, but in this case, not so much. I would definitely recommend this speaker to those who want a decent, compact, soundbar with voice assistant connectivity and enough knowledge to patience to deal with occasional lengthy tech support sessions, which fortunately, are not that often.

I have been wanting to add a Sonos soundbar to my ecosystem of Sonos Ones and I was blown away. I was looking at the Playbar but the price was just too high for me to justify it, I would never go max volume. I literally spent two hours just listening to music on it, it's so amazing. I even had my sister come over and listen to it. Incredible would recommend to anyone. I actually did for my sister in law and she bought one and loves it too.

This is a great soundbar. Voice enhance helps me hear conversations better then before and the sound quality is great for movies even if you do not have the Sonos Ones to pair with it for surround sound. The bass is a little lacking but I don't care too much about that and the sub is too expensive right now. The app is easy and I'm now trying to add more speakers and enter completely into the Sonos ecosystem.
