Was watching a movie and it just made a loud pop and died. We didn’t use it for playing music or take advantage of the voice controls. Seriously disappointed and will not be buying another Sonos product. That aside, the other issue is that it has no remote to control it with. You have to download the app. And that app will spam you with ads for other products and services whether you want them or not. The sound quality was good. That’s a pretty low bar though.

Also worth noting that we don't include a remote because the Beam is designed to use the remote that your TV comes with so you don't have to have an extra one laying around! :)

I have 4 Sonos Ones, but didn't enjoy adding this to my sound system. I wanted to use soundbar under tv and have 2 Sonos Ones in rear. The sound quality on sonos soundbar is weak. I was unable to use rear speakers Alexa because it was part of the surround sound. Also, when playing music on other Sonos spearkers, these were unavailable and it was pointless just using them for TV. It really isn't a great set up for surround sound at all. I ended up returning and getting a Samsung soundbar that was a little cheaper and sounded loads better. Then I was able to enjoy using my Sonos Ones around my house while playing music. If you are in the market for a soundbar, I would not recommend this one at all. I wouldn't even purchase it for half retail price, because the sound was too weak for my liking.

Posted .Thank you for your feedback and for being a Sonos owner! One way to improve the sound quality of the Beam is to make sure to run Trueplay during set up and tune the Beam for your room. You can also make those rear speakers play music when you use the Beam to play music by turning on "Full Sound" in the room settings instead of "Ambient Sound". This setting will play music out of the rear speakers as well as the Beam to fill the entire room with the music.

We both have the newest iPhones and had zero luck. We kept getting the app couldn’t connect or the soundbar couldn’t connect. To even get it to find them beam you would have to unplug it and plug it back in every single time we tried to set this thing up. It was also not compatible with our WiFi. This upset me greatly because I have been wanting this for so long. We finally took the plunge when our Polk system crapped out on us. We have history with Bose and will be exchanging this for a Bose system tomorrow. So very disappointed.

Even interference can cause connection issues from walls or certain objects/devices in your home.
